@rubyroot, unfortunately the 5.7 is in pmol/l which equals to roughly 0.8 ng/ml which shows diminished ovarian reserve on the scale in the link you shared.

I will get shagging regardless Grin

Zigzag11 · 04/09/2019 14:37

@Cleozeta, yes you're right. With low AMH levels it is highly unlikely that IVF would work. That is why I got so annoyed with the consultant on my appointment because she wouldn't look at the whole picture.
Having said that, if nothing happens in the next six months, I will try a natural or mildly modified IVF, as that is what they recommend for women with low ovarian reserve.
In a natural IVF, they would harvest my own egg at around ovulation and fertilize it, then transfer.

Zigzag11 · 04/09/2019 14:39

@hmm123,
Look after yourself and good luck.Flowers

rubyroot · 04/09/2019 14:47

Yeah sorry @Zigzag11 but definitely get shagging--see above study

Realitysucks · 05/09/2019 12:51

Hi girls haven’t caught up yet but just seen last couple of posts! @Zigzag11 hi don’t think we haven’t spoken before, I tend to nip in and out! I’m 41 my AMH was 5pmol/l I had two rounds of ivf at the start of this year. First round abandoned as I didn’t respond to the drugs enough. Second round had two embryos implanted and it failed. We were about to go back for third round and I found out I was pregnant 3 days before appointment! Just had scan today all looks good I’m 6w 4days and bubs has a strong heartbeat, all in the right place and measures exactly spot on. We were trying for a year exactly so it can work! I honestly think the ivf flicked a switch and also towards the end your body chucks out a couple of viable eggs! Still a long way to go but fingers crossed!

Realitysucks · 05/09/2019 12:56

@hmmm123 I’m so sorry to read your news 😢 how far did you get if you don’t mind me asking ?

Russkispy · 05/09/2019 16:26

@Realitysucks that's good to hear! I'm crossing everything for you!
How's everyone else doing?!
AFM, went to EPU on Wednesday for the last time to repeat HCG and it dropped down to 14. I was discharged and no hysteroscopy needed.
In the meantime, our donor is going through her stims and egg collection is now confirmed for Monday! I'm beyond nervous and excited! We haven't been told how many she has and will only be told on collection day. Believe it's a standard procedure for DE process. We're flying home this weekend, seeing my doc on Monday morning to repeat HCG, scan and outline a plan for FET in October! I can't begin to tell you how I feel! A mixture of everything! One minute I was dealing with the miscarriage and next we're almost ready for transfer. 1 embryo will be then biopsied and PGT-a tested and the rest put on ice. I'm just hoping there will be a few 5 day blastocysts! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Dia12 · 05/09/2019 23:36

Hi all, not been around much so just catching up on the last few messages on the thread. Sorry to hear of your loss @hmmm123, hope you can find your happy place again very soon.
Sounds like a lot to take in @Russkispy but so good to have something to move forward with, it's reassuring to know you're doing all you can. Have fingers and toes crossed for your DE.
That was a really interesting article on AMH @rubyroot - thanks for sharing. Makes me feel a little better. I literally got my AMH today and it's almost halved in a 1.5years Confused
I've been really down the last week or so as I'm approaching our wedding anniversary and my 40th not long after and I just feel like a ticking time bomb.
Also realised I've wasted the entire year when I should have just cracked on with another ICSI round....just kept convincing myself it could happen naturally. So now, trying to sort out up to date blood tests and dive in to.

Does anyone have any experience of using the short protocol and its advantages of it over the long protocol?

Dia12 · 05/09/2019 23:40

Congrats @Realitysucks that's such wonderful news. Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy.
Can I ask what supplement you were taking?
We have MFI, mild, but a major issue nonetheless so makes me less hopeful of naturally getting there.

CritterTamer · 06/09/2019 04:46

@Dia12 I had short protocol IVF and found it fine. I think I've if the advantages is that you have far fewer unpleasant side effects from down-regging as it's done at the same time as stimming.
Good luck with your next round xxx

Chatbash72 · 06/09/2019 17:57

Fab news @Realitysucks
I have no knowledge on ivf so have no wisdom to impart.. but good luck ladies
Trying to catch up hope egg collection for donor goes well @Russkispy
ATM day 14 in cycle have already had ov pains last week but loads of ewcm over last few days and as horny as hell ( sorry tmi 🤦‍♀️) but we have unusually only managed dtd 4 times so far this cycle... oh well lap of Mother Nature... sending loads of baby dust to you all x

Realitysucks · 06/09/2019 20:04

@Dial12 do you mean natural supplements ? As if that’s the case it was gin! No seriously I’ve been healthy since November 2018, watching my food taking Vit D, preconception pregnecare and eating lots of healthy food. Then the second round failed and said F It! I needed a break, we went to Kefalonia for a week in July, I drank shed loads of gin and Margaritas then got back and carried on drinking, a few nights out in London after work and thought I’d burned myself out ready to start all over again with the last round. 😬😬😬😬 turns out gin and Margaritas worked a dream 🤭

Realitysucks · 06/09/2019 20:07

@Dia12 we had the ICSI too on short protocol. I think it’s much better as my sister did long protocol and the side effects were awful! On short all I found was after about 8 days of stimming I was really bloated and belly was rock hard. But goes as soon as you have the trigger shot.

BooseysMom · 06/09/2019 20:07

Realitysucks · 06/09/2019 20:11

@Chatbash72 thanks still a long way to go but fingers crossed.

Also we only dtd twice today in our lucky month and we think the one that did it was the obligatory “ babe I know we’re tired but you just gotta do it” 🤣🤣🤣

hmmm123 · 06/09/2019 21:20

^*Hi all

So my story has got worse...
^
I was rushed in yesterday with suspected ectopic after what I thought was a complete miscarriage and they operated and removed the pregnancy and
fallopian ^tube

I am in agony from the surgery and now have even less chance as have one less tube. I don't think I could risk this again it's been awf*^ul

Jesus what on earth was I thinking doing this? I nearly risked my life I should have been content with what I've got .. my amazing dc

I had no idea really that eotooic were quite common and so dangerous
^*
Sorry that's just how I feel at the moment but I am feeling very fragile*^ ☹️

Reality good luck so pleased for you xx^*
*^

Realitysucks · 06/09/2019 21:54

@hmmm123 omg are you ok!! I know that’s a stupid question. I’m so glad you got to hospital in time. I do hope your ok, just try and get some rest, you are healthy that’s the main thing as it can be so dangerous. It is very common, we paid for an early scan to check a I was worried as I know one of my tubes is badly scarred. I know you must feel awful, sending you massive hugs hun x

Chatbash72 · 06/09/2019 22:26

Oh my god @hmmm123 rest up lovely and sending lots of love

Samosaurus · 06/09/2019 22:55

@hmmm123 oh goodness what an ordeal! I really hope your road to recovery will be a quick one xx

Alarica · 07/09/2019 07:44

Oh my goodness @hmmm123 what a horrible, traumatic experience, life can be so unfair. I hope you are surrounded by love and support to get you through this Thanks

Hobbes39 · 07/09/2019 09:28

@hmmm123 - so sorry about your news Sad - it must have been very frightening, I'm glad you got to hospital and had the op & hope you physically recover well, even although emotionally I know it will be hard. Thank goodness they were being v cautious and monitoring you.

Having had an ectopic (but not as frightening as yours as very luckily for me, it was self resolving) - one thing I do know is that while I imagine losing a tube feels such a blow, I was told that it doesn't effect your fertility as much as you might fear - the eggs from that side will make their way over to your other tube.
I don't know if you even want to think about trying again right now, but thought I'd mention it in case you didn't know. Xx

weasledee · 07/09/2019 12:51

So sorry hmmmm that must have been so scary for you all x

SparrowSG · 07/09/2019 20:09
