Hey ladies
I know there's lots of threads out there for this but who's joining me?
I think I'm either 1 or 2 DPO - got a static smiley on a clear blue digital OPK on Wednesday and annoyingly didn't have any IC to test when I did actually O nor am I temping so guessing I O'd either Thursday or Friday.
I am determined NOT to symptom spot but realistically I will 😂

Hi ladies I hope it's ok to join you all too.
I'm elle, almost 40 but lucky enough to have 4 children 21/18/9&4. My new partner (41yrs) has none. We had a quite traumatic miscarriage in late may with me having to be rescusitated due to cervical shock and then followed by a d&c. We have been using a clear blue fertility monitor and I had my peak on Saturday and Sunday, we dtd most days anyways coz he's a fitty lol. But this morning when being intimate I bled a little... After the MC it threw us both a little but we're still hoping for the best and with all the luck in the world we will be preggers in 2 weeks Grin, love and hugs and mostly luck to all of you xxx

Michellebops · 08/07/2019 18:09

@Elles1980 omg that sounds so scary for you all. I'm very sorry for your loss.

With my miscarriage I bled a number of times weeks later after dtd or sometimes just overdoing things.
Gp advised it was most likely old blood in my cervix.

This was last year and didn't last long.

I would say tho no harm running it by your Gp for advice if you're worried.

Elles1980 · 08/07/2019 18:16

@Michellebops I wouldn't say worried, I just had an awful thought maybe after having our peak (we were super lucky in concieving first time using the monitor with the MC) we'd ruined it by doing the deed, we did Google and it did say that that wouldn't happen! Our bodies are super weird things lol! Thanks for replying its nice to be able to talk so openly about it without seeing reactions hahaha (mainly get squirmy faces Grin) xxx

Michellebops · 08/07/2019 18:47

Haha! I'm rarely put off by anything squeamish.

Talk away, it's good to talk about your experience even if only to try and understand it and not let it simmer and engulf you emotionally.

Fingers crossed for a quick 2 weeks and positive results 🤞

Islandermum · 08/07/2019 18:57

Hi @Elles1980 It's sounds absolutely awful what you've had to deal with. Fingers crossed for you this month. Bleeding sounds normal, although must've been a little worrying to see. Love and baby dust to you too Elle!

Herewegoagain89 · 08/07/2019 19:11

Hello!

Can I join? We are officially trying. We have been winging it for a few months, not really been 'trying' so this is our first official month.

I'm currently 3dpo. Period due 18th July. Not really expecting it to happen first month of trying but excited to symptom spot! Grin

Islandermum · 08/07/2019 19:30

@herewegoagain89 it's so exciting starting to officially TTC! Fingers crossed, some people get very lucky! Mine is my first actual cycle trying as I got pregnant whilst casually not using protection (going with the flow) and then had a miscarriage in May. So fingers crossed for both of us this month! I did the Ava calculator for how long it will take to conceive and it guessed within 3 months for me!
If anyone is interested (you might have to download a VPN to pretend you are in the US to access the page though - I use the app tunnelbear on my phone)
www.avawomen.com/fertility-calculator/

Elles1980 · 08/07/2019 19:45

Thank you ladies, it's super exciting! Is anyone else using the clear blue fertility monitor? We were so lucky to concieve the first try and then sadly the MC. But we're super hopeful that it won't take us too long. I have read that your more fertile for 6 months after a miscarriage and that there is a higher percentage chance that you will go full term with no problems so I shall keep my fingers crossed for you all, imagine if in 2 weeks even one of us was pregnant! That would be pretty awesome xxx

Islandermum · 08/07/2019 19:48

@elles1980 no I'm not using the CB fertility monitor. Think I'm going to give it a few months until I get anything like that. I'm charting BBT, using OPKS and monitoring CM at the moment. Are you considering the monitor?
Odds are, one of us will be pregnant in two weeks!!

Elles1980 · 08/07/2019 20:22

I'm using the monitor, I used it in march and concieved first cycle. I started again after my first period and had peaks on Saturday and Sunday. I have been tracking my cm aswell and it would seem to have been right so I'm hoping for the best xx

sao811 · 08/07/2019 20:36

I've tried OPKs this month, dont think ill try the more expensive ones for another couple of months

MrsLBear · 08/07/2019 21:36

@Herewegoagain89 my af is due around then too! Did you do opks this month?
Wishing you the best of luck! When you planning on testing?

@Elles1980 so sorry to hear that. Sounds so traumatic!! Best of luck to you!!
I only use opks and the clear blue digital ovulation sticks but not gonna use them again next month as they are so expensive. I temped when I fell pg first time (ended in mmc at 10 weeks as baby only measured 6) but haven't got back into it again.

I was in and out of consciousness so it was my poor oh that suffered more than me really. I'm 39 and he's 41 so we really feel like we don't have time on our hands, at our midwives consultation in may they kept going on about my age, we feel like we're against the clock so I'd rather give up the wine and buy the sticks lol! In saying that though IV been reading so much on these forums and learned so much about my own body that you would have thought I'd have already known by my age. Like the cm... I had no idea but this month I knew exactly what was going on! I'm due at on the 23rd so I'm not entirely sure when I can test but here's hoping. So sorry for your loss MrsLBear, I was pretty devestated at 10 weeks we were so super excited to start telling people at 12 weeks, so close!! But next time ladies xxx

Michellebops · 09/07/2019 06:36

I know what you mean @Elles1980 I'm 42 and only learned about my body in the last year.

Don't worry too much about your age as long as you're healthy. I fell pregnant naturally last year at 41, sadly miscarried at 12 weeks scan but still have hope x

Siennarosesmumma · 09/07/2019 06:45

Hello ladies. Just wondering if anyone's period took a long time to come back after stopping the pill? I'm 34 and have missed two now. I'm not ovulating and have had blood tests which came back normal. Do I just wait? Feel nervous about it all.

Michellebops · 09/07/2019 10:46

Hi @Siennarosesmumma my friend took 7 weeks to return.

If you're concerned the go can prescribe norehisterone which can reset your cycle

Siennarosesmumma · 09/07/2019 13:02

Thanks. I'm 14 weeks without Confused. Have doc appointment on 18th so will ask x

Izzie1994 · 09/07/2019 13:42

Hi ladies,
I hope you don't mine me jumping on your thread!
I'm currently 9dpo (approx) and this ttw is killing me. We have a beautiful 2 year old little girl and would love to give her a sibling. We've been trying since march 2018 but my cycles only regulated April 2019 after being on the depo for 14 months. My only synptom when I was pregnant with my first were sore boobs on the sides but we weren't planning the pregnancy so I have no idea when this started. Since I've been having regular cycles my boobs have hurt after ovulation but not on the side, just under the nipple. The last couple of days I have had slight pain on the sides and slight nausea every now and again but I'm thinking I could be over thinking it! Baby dust to everyone, fingers crossed we all get out BFP!!

Dexysmidnightrunner · 09/07/2019 21:16

Hi, can I join please. Got static smiley on Friday morning. DTD Wed, Friday and Sunday. Trying to conceive after MMC in April and driving myself a bit mad! Good luck to everybody x

Elles1980 · 09/07/2019 21:46

@Michellebops I'm relatively fit and healthy, I'm a junior school pe teacher so I'm on my feet alot weekdays and I run sports camps and I'm also a fitness instructor (I'm overweight but did lots and lots of weight lifting so I don't really agree with BMI calculators due to my career and knowledge) so I'm trying not to let the age thing bother me so much! It's the chocolate I can't quit lol! I don't drink or smoke, I feel I did enough of that till about 35 to last the rest of my life lol!
@Izzie1994zzie
That sounds quite positive, please keep us updated on how you get on, try not to be too sad if not as there's every other month lovely Smile.
@Dexysmidnightrunner
I had my smiley peaks Saturday and Sunday so were quite close together I think? I'm due af on the 23rd. Keep us posted on any symptoms as I'm all new to this checking bodies and feeling stuff lol! Hope your all well ladies xx

Michellebops · 09/07/2019 22:46

@Elles1980 definitely don't give up the chocolate 🍫

Dexysmidnightrunner · 09/07/2019 22:54

@Elles1980, sounds like we are pretty close. I’m due AF 16th as have shortish luteal phase and ovulate quite late in cycle. Was later than normal this month as think my body still getting back to normal after miscarriage. Trying not to symptom spot but no sore boobs which was my main indication last time

Elles1980 · 10/07/2019 00:55

@Michellebops never..... God help any midwife who tried to prize a galaxy caramel out of my hands lol!!
@Dexysmidnightrunner oooo were pretty close I'm not due till 23rd after my d&c I seem to have gone straight onto a 28 day cycle, but will keep tracking to make sure as I had a coil fitted for years and have an almost 5 year old so IV not had a regular cycle for a long time and was always irregular before that! When I concieved in march I had no symptoms at all, I only tested because I had used the clear blue fertility monitor so knew we had dtd at ovulation and were lucky enough to get caught first time. We're both very much of he same mind that we'll just keep going and try not to let it take over our lives.... But now I have you lot and he'll never know just how crazy I am haha! Xx

Michellebops · 10/07/2019 07:18

Ooh now I fancy a galaxy caramel with my morning cuppa. God help the scales at fat class this week 🤣

Elles1980 · 10/07/2019 07:33

Oh you go fat class @Michellebops? I go fat club haha sw for me. It's awful my little one (Eva 4) starts shouting I don't like fat club it's boring when we're walking through the doors hahaha. Now everyone knows what I call it! IV not been for 3 weeks due to work etc and IV put on 5.5lbs. so going to be leaving the galaxy caramels at the shop this week where they belong and loose that 5.5 to get me back on track. I feel for us women..... Trying to loose weight, trying to make babies! It's so true our work is never done lol! Have a great day ladies xx
