Anyone in the TWW???

Hi everyone,

So as the title says is there anyone in the TWW?
DH and I said we would try for number 2 after summer but whoops we've had a couple of slips. I looked at my ovulation app (which has never failed me before to get pregnant) and both times it was in my fertile days.

So here's the confusion.. I apparently was in my fertile days from 8th-13th June.
13th June being the day of ovulation. We DTD 8th June and 11th June. The last couple of days I have had very bad cramps low down. This can't be implantation yet so was it ovulation pains? My CM was snot like some of it thick but also some of it was slippery too sorry TMI!! am so confused, feeling I've missed the boat.
This TWW is stressful. I've never temped or taken OPK's as it's always been quite easy for me to fall pregnant (I've had a lot of miscarriages Sad)
We are lucky enough to have a DD though.
DH is actually quite excited that we could be pregnant but I just don't know and feeling quite impatient!

Love to hear from you guys and your stories too!

Liv x

@RoRosmama yes we can! 😁😁🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻And @LA89

The bath is ok it's just if it's too hot as you'll be hotter while pregnant it's harder to cool down and super overheating 'could' be harmful - not much research on it though and that last comment was from the nhs website about using hot tubs which are a lot hotter than a bath.

@MrsHufflepuffMS I think sometimes you do know but sometimes you don't and everyone is different. I knew last month when I had an early miscarriage I just turned to my husband one evening and said I feel pregnant, tested in the morning and got a positive. Who knows if I'll have a clue next time 😂 could have been fluke.

Maybe you can feel your hormones which are in a very good way this month? 😁

@SwimmerGirl40 agreed!

SwimmerGirl40 · 18/06/2019 18:08

I didn’t have a clue with the last one. Unplanned but welcome. I went away the weekend before my period was due and drank too many cocktails. A week later I realised AF hadn’t turned up. DD is fine though, I read loads on FAS at the time and apparently alcohol is fine in the time between fertilisation and implantation.

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 18:09

@MrsHufflepuffMS I'm sorry you're feeling teary 😞 it's a stressful time for sure. The not knowing is the worst part and I totally agree with @SwimmerGirl40 that the fact pre-menstrual and early pregnancy symptoms are similar completely sucks!
With all my miscarriages I "just knew" but saying that with DD I had no idea and then my boobs felt really full and that suddenly put the idea in my head that I could be pregnant. We are all different and it affects our bodies in different ways to others. X

I am doing things properly this time. I’m using Flo to track my cycle, checking my cm and using OPKs, as well as taking a pregnacare multi vitamin. I’m also not drinking during the TWW.

MrsHufflepuffMS · 18/06/2019 18:11

@Abi58 I'm sorry you had a difficult month last time. Hopefully this month will be it :)

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 18:12

@SwimmerGirl40 I too had been away on holiday the week before I found out with DD. I was drinking everyday and may have even had a few naughty cigarettes (don't smoke anymore) not gonna lie totally miss it but glad I've quit! My DD is absolutely fine too. I did go to the doctor in tears though because of the amount of alcohol consumed. He laughed at me and said the amount of people that do this and have healthy babies is higher than if you didn't. Didn't like that he laughed at me but he was right!

@MrsHufflepuffMS thank you! 🤞🏻 for all of us!

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 20:15

Just realised I phrased that terribly!!! 🙄 obviously people who are healthy have healthy babies. Gosh my brain is Mia today!! Hope everyone is having a relaxing evening and not stressing too much x

I look at it like this, I did everything "right" 3 times and have had a miscarriage, a TFMR and a healthy 3yo.
So whatever I do means nothing.

Treaclepie19 · 18/06/2019 21:30

Also feeling teary today. So, so teary :(

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 21:46

@Treaclepie19 so horrible that you're feeling so glum and teary 😞 I guess it doesn't matter what we do, nature takes it course right, can be so unfair. It is going to happen for us though. I just know it, if not this cycle then soon.
Are you feeling any symptoms? I am feeling strange down there. On and off cramps, am feeling super frustrated and to be honest I just want to cry. Sounds ridiculous right?

SwimmerGirl40 · 18/06/2019 22:31

@Treaclepie19
I’m sorry you’re feeling teary. Try to do something nice for yourself.

SwimmerGirl40 · 18/06/2019 22:33

@RoRosmama
I’m not teary, just quick tempered and have been since Sunday.

I spent all of my 20s avoiding pregnancy and now I appear to be struggling. So frustrating!

Abi58 · 18/06/2019 22:35

@RoRosmama I like the brain MIA I might use that one 😂
Strange you should say cramps and feeling funny. I've got cramps on and off and had a poorly tummy (without being tmi) also had a weird feeling down there, like she has butterflies 😂 does that make sense? It sounds so weird 😂

@Treaclepie19 the odds are stacked against us before we even begin and that's with perfect timing. Sending lots of hugs your way 💕

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 22:49

@Abi58 I totally get what you mean, like little flutters down there?!
Urgh I feel dreadful ladies! Tickly cough which is driving me nuts and lots of phlegm when I cough up. Also my nose is so stuffy and blocked almost and when I tip my head back I can just feel it all dripping down my throat (SORRY TMI!)

I can't sleep. Literally am feeling so crap right now 😫

OP posts:
Abi58 · 18/06/2019 23:06

@RoRosmama yes exactly like that! What's your strange feeling down there like?
Aw no hope you're feeling better soon! (And hope it's a good sign for you!)
I've been sneezing all day but don't feel too bad just a little stuffy, hoping it's the immune system sorting itself out for implantation (not that I'm too hopeful or anything lol) 🤞🏻

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 23:15

@Abi58 this is exactly how I've been. Sneezing all day, DD has said bless you mummy about 20 times today 😂
I'm getting stabbing pains down there along with flutters and just general movement. My lower back aches like hell too but surprisingly my boobs aren't really that sore. I normally get really painful boobies about a week and a half before period but they seem to be ok.
This has gotta he out month!

LA89 · 18/06/2019 23:26

Hey all,

Just been catching up and this is such a rollercoaster for all of us. I feel like I'm being crazy and obsessive so don't want to talk to friends about it so it's so nice to be able to vent on here and see that how much this is playing on my mind is totally normal.

With that being said I've had cramps on and off allll day today. I'm now 4/5 days dpo and whilst they're kind of similar to pms cramps they're not as powerful. Like with period pains they do actually hurt me to the point that on the day before and day 1 of my period I usually have to have painkillers and a hot water bottle to sort them. Today's were the same sensation for lack of a better word...but not painful, just more niggly than anything else. Like enough for me to notice them but I definitely wouldn't have said I was in pain. I've got a really achy lower back tonight too.

Would anything even be happening 4/5 dpo? I'm clueless here xxx

Treaclepie19 · 19/06/2019 05:59

Thank you ladies. Sending hugs all round.
Just need to try and distract myself a bit I think.
At least its less than a week to go now. I'm not sure my cycles have completely settled down though so I could end up with more of a wait!

Abi58 · 19/06/2019 07:28

@LA89 🤞🏻 for you! Scientifically there's nothing that shows you would have symptom already as you won't have implanted yet.

I'm 4dpo and for the last 2 days have felt really sick and had cramps yesterday. I'm putting it down to hormones around ovulation but you never know!

@Treaclepie19 it shouldn't be longer than 14-16 days after ovulation so 🤞🏻 your wait isn't longer than you're expecting 💕

Treaclepie19 · 19/06/2019 08:10

@Abi58 I haven't tracked ovulation so not sure when it will be :(
My last two cycles were 23 days so I'm hoping for the same again!
Really crampy this morning. If it's another 23 day cycle I reckon I'm 6dpo.

RoRosmama · 19/06/2019 10:00

Hi @Treaclepie19 I think I too am 6dpo according to my OC app. AF due in 9 days, soooo long! How are you feeling today?

@LA89 That's just how my cramps are. Almost AF type but not to the point where I need to take painkillers.

OP posts:
LA89 · 19/06/2019 10:07

@RoRosmama

Exactly! It's the same sensation as period pains just not to the point where it's actually painful...just niggly enough for you to notice them. I had them on and off most of the day yesterday and still got them today actually. I think I ovulated Thursday night/Friday morning so I'm about 5/6 days out now. Good old Google is suggesting the cramps and achy lower back could be linked to implantation. I mean it could be absolutely nothing but it's definitely unusual for me. I typically get a really bad period pain the night before AF arrives which continues through day 1 of my period but other than those 2 days I don't get any other cramping at any point.

How many DPO are you? X

Treaclepie19 · 19/06/2019 10:10

@RoRosmama feels ages doesnt it? I'm lucky in a way because with my cycles being shorter I'll probably know on Tuesday.
Still feels ages away 😂

I'm crampy and tired! And had to jump out of bed this morning to wee... which is unusual.
I'm sure it's all in my head!
