@ValidUser TWW is just awful; I always try and keep myself really busy but particularly the first week of it just drags!!

Ladies who have acupuncture - would you rate it? I’ve finally found someone local with availability - going to ask the consultant on Thurs her thoughts on it, but wonder what you guys have thought/how you’ve found it? I’ve had accu before for physio / back issues but no idea what happens when it’s for conception!

Morning ladies! Had a temp rise this morning (but that may be because I got up half hour earlier than usual..) and some EWCM (first time this cycle!).
Off to the midlands this morning for a work meeting. Hope you all have a lovely day 😊

@cupcakesandglitter as @ValidUser said, could you pop into a Poundland maybe to get the cheap strip tests? It does sound positive, so fx for you!

@cupcakesandglitter How many DPO are you? Could you grab a cheaper test somewhere just to check??

@MrsEG I have just started acupuncture and I have to say I was very sceptical but after one session my ovulation day was brought forward by 5 days, and I can't think of anything else that would have caused that. So I am pretty happy with it. Definitely going to continue with it.

@cupcakesandglitter don't want to get your hopes up but that sounds promising!! When were you planning on testing? 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@ValidUser That's exactly how I feel!! After 9 mo this of nothing, not even a squinter, I think I'd be in shock!

@MrsEG I've been for 2 accu sessions so far and I really like them. My acupuncturist is lovely and it's so nice to just talk to someone about it all! But beyond that, the first period I had after was so much better than usual - less painful, I was less emotional etc.

I'm now 10dpo and temp still rising...,is that normal?! I woke up feeling very hot today 😅 tbh hits relieved I'm edging closer and closer to a normal LP.

Morning Ladies, so got up this morning after DP went to work as I am working from home this morning POAS as you do, went to wipe (Sorry TMI) and guess what AF has arrived - not sure weather to laugh or cry as I go on my hols tomorrow 😂when I went back to the test there was a squinter of a line so not sure what that means? maybe just an evap as it is an IC and had to use an app to see it properly! CD 1 WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!

@purplefig Ooh could that be an implantation dip there?? You want your temps to keep rising the day or two before expected AF date and then you’re on to a winner - it should only drop just before AF, if pg it will stay elevated 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@purplefig looks promising! From what I was reading it should stay elevated for 14 days after ovulation (with a dip in the middle for implantation) 🤞🏽🤞🏽

@MrsEG keep going with the acupuncture, a few friends of mine did it when TTC after approx a year of no joy and both fell pregnant really quickly. I'd love to do it but hate needles!! 😫 has acupuncture about 10 years ago for eczema and it cleared up so quick but the idea of them needles again and when they 'twizzle' them it kills me!!

@purplefig @FlapJackered how have you both found your acupuncture? Does it hurt when they 'twizzle' them to get the meridian point?

@Kiza I didn't find any of it remotely painful, but she did say she has to use smaller needles on some people as they do. I think it all depends on your pain tolerance - but to me it just felt like a little sharp scratch and then it's in. No pain when moving them. (Making it sound like I'm well 'ard 😂)

@MrsEG @LokiCat eeeeek. Could be an implantation dip. I've had verrrrry minor on and off cramps for a few days. Trying to stay grounded and not get carried away....and failing. Problem is, I don't have an expected AF date as this is first month temping so no idea what LP is and period has previously varied 27 - 36 days. Am testing on fri (13dpo) if no AF. Temp taking has suddenly got tense!!

Did a bit of digging yesterday (sometimes over-analysing can be productive apparently) and I found that you actually get a second Estrogen surge about a week after O. This is one of the things in my LP I was worried about, but it looks normal.
So now, I’ve come full circle to just trying to relax about it all (impossible!)

CB is still staying quiet but going to start DTD today as I’m expecting O on Friday. Need to be more strategic this cycle as DH was not enjoying being treated like a stud horse last month 😂

@LokiCat thanks hun was inevitable it was going to happen today or tomorrow wasn't it lol! Fingers crossed she's kind to me!

Hello ladies, ye have been busy while I have been offline - I have alot of catching up to do!!

I was just thinking, AF due the 9th, I am a serial tester and I would love to be able to tell DP on my birthday (the 8th) if I am pregnant. And if I am not I will drown my sorrows that evening! So, what are the best early response tests? I have heard digital (like CB) aren't great at early detection. What would you recommend? Is First Response the best? Based in Ireland but I could order online. Thanks

@ELW85 this is the first time I have done it, its relatively new that we are allowed to but a 3 hour commute to work and back for 3 hours 15 mins of work seems silly, I am going to get my nails done at 11:30 so looking forward to that then getting my hair done later so will use this afternoon to tidy and get packed. DP is still waiting for his holiday clothes to arrive lol!

@MrsEG thanks I am hoping for the same! Hope today goes quickly, I was actually glad to get back to some sort of routine like you say! Roll on annual leave!

@ImMeantToBeWorking FRERs are best (first response early results); typically they give a clear positive a few days before AF is due. You’re right about CB digital, they are much less sensitive and best for AF or later. Good luck!

@Lozzlepop I work from home a lot, my company are very flexible and focus a lot on the work life balance, which is awesome. I can WFH whenever I need to really. Considering I came from a job that was strictly office based and had us frequently doing 10-12 hour days I didn’t know what to do with myself when I first started here haha! It’s amazing though, and staff retention and overall well-being/happiness is so good here. I wish all companies would take note and follow suit!

Help! I have woken up to sharp stabbing pains in my pelvis. It comes and goes when I move, has anyone had this before? It's so painful. Don't have a clue what is going on!
9dpo but temp has dropped almost to coverline and definitely otherwise don't feel pregnant at the moment.

@Kiza It does hurt just a little bit when they put the needle in but then it's a actually weirdly relaxing! I am a complete wimp too.
Although she did forget one in my ear last time and I went to itch it and it started bleeding everywhere which was a bit alarming!

So after heavy bleeding on Saturday and Sunday, Monday was light as anything and today there's basically nothing there. I have never had such a short period.

I think it's unlikely to be implantation bleeding because I got a BFN at various points, and there was just so much blood and cramping, but SOMETHING is going on. My periods are usually 6 days!
