MrsH497 · 02/06/2019 20:57

Quick question ladies sorry GP never gave me any information post MC. When should I expect my period?

FlapJackered · 02/06/2019 21:30

@MrsH497 I am afraid i think it is different for everyone, generally I think if it's under 6 weeks it doesn't always effect the cycle but over may be more likely to. Mine was only a week late if you count mc as day 1 and I mc'd at 8 weeks. It's not a fun waiting game. X

@MrsLBear lovely to hear from you. I am really dreading the due date. It is on my mind a lot. I am just praying it happens well before then. Where are you in your cycle now?

Lozzlepop · 02/06/2019 21:34

@MrsH497 I’m still waiting on mine to show up 😬 it’s been 5 weeks since the miscarriage so hoping she shows up soon

MrsH497 · 02/06/2019 21:43

@Lozzlepop guess I'll have to be patient then! I'm 2/3 weeks post MC bleeding stopped after less than a week and negative test was 26th May. Nothing about this MC seems to be what is on the internet

Fivebyfive2 · 02/06/2019 22:33

@MrsH497, mine was 4 weeks after the day of the actual surgery, not sure if this helps?? Xxx

cupcakesandglitter · 02/06/2019 22:41

@MrsLBear I honestly thought it'd be too late but we shall see! Annoying to read about your SIL, so unfair!!!

MrsEG · 02/06/2019 23:14

@MrsH497 I’ve had three losses now and AF never took more than 5 weeks from the day of bleeding/D&C to arrive. I believe up to 6 weeks is fine. It’s a horrible waiting game, it really is.

Louise190 · 02/06/2019 23:19

I think I will give CB digi a go next cycle this AF arrives, if anything just to determine what works best for me. I will continue temping as I quite like charting and I will pay attention to my CM although I don't get a lot so may be difficult to judge. Thanks all! I took an OPK this morning and it was definitely negative so I reassessed the info in my apps and now one is suggesting I am 4DPO and the other 6DPO! One way to speed up TWW! Anyway, think I'm just going to have to play this one my ear and wait and see!!

MrsEG · 02/06/2019 23:24

Ahh missed so many other messages! @MrsLBear Yep, I have three due dates to brace myself for 😞 I wish I could just look at them as random, normal days - I don’t know why I’m beating myself up over them. This month we are just going with the flow as after my third MC I now have fertility tests so want to see what the consultant says before we crack on again!

@Lozzlepop My whole life these days is baby showers and kids birthday parties, some of my friends are now on baby 2 - so yep, totally agree - it’s just everywhere!! I don’t know if it’s TTC making me more hyper aware but I also just feel like it’s on TV and films aaaall the time too! And like, a miscarriage storyline in Fleabag?! UGHH!!
Hope AF rocks up before your hols (or are you holding out for a BFP??)

@MrsH497 I HATE that, and also get it all the time. No shit Sherlock. It’s such an insensitive thing to say to someone who has had a loss. I also got ‘at least it happened early’ and someone suggesting my running caused them. Just, no. Try to block it out - no one can ever know what it’s like until they go through it - if you really are feeling down, have you considered any counselling? I have had some and it was amazing.

Went to see Booksmart at the cinema tonight, very funny. Had a big glass of wine and double-scoop ice cream too. Birthday tomorrow, then the healthy eating can recommence!!

LokiCat · 03/06/2019 07:19

Morning ladies, happy Monday!
Quick question, I had my positive OPK strip on Saturday morning and then have had two slight temp dips yesterday and today, no sharp increase yet. Is this normal? The CB digitals are still solid circles, so I've given up on them.
First time using BBT, so wasn't sure! I've googled and most had temp dips before and day of LH surge..

@MrsH497 I had an early mc at 5 weeks and my next cycle came 5 weeks after (if I count the first day of mc bleeding as CD1).

@MrsEG happy birthday!! Have a fabulous day!

FlapJackered · 03/06/2019 07:59

@LokiCat it can be normal I had the same this cycle it took a while for the temp to go up. You have just got to keep Dtd! I read a study the other day where it said that the temp rise can often occur 2 days after ovulation. Also it can take up to 36 hours to ovulate after a positive opk. It is not very helpful for working out ovulation! 😬
I just kept DingTD until the temp went up just to be sure. I am sure it will soon! X

@MrsEG Happy Birthday!!!! 🎉 🎂 I hope you've got some more fun bucket list plans for today. X

Lozzlepop · 03/06/2019 08:56

Happy Monday Ladies!! Hope everyone has had a great weekend! Last day in the office for me today so I am loving Monday this week 😂

@MrsH497 I bled for about a week, continually feel like she is coming, my back is sore but nothing so far 🤷🏽‍♀️

@MrsEG Happy Birthday!!!! Hope you have an amazing day ahead 🙂so if AF doesn't appear by 6 weeks should I be calling the Dr? We actually watched Fleabag before finding out and even then I thought it was an insensitive subject! I am actually hoping AF shows as we did say we would give it one cycle but like you say it was nice just to DTD for fun for a change and not for TTC.

Ladies I have a question for you, I have had a letter through about my smear test, I read somewhere online that you should wait 3 months after a MC before having one, does anyone know if this is correct?

Lottiepink · 03/06/2019 09:06

Morning everyone, happy Monday!

Been a bit absent as I had a long weekend with the girls. Was brilliant but I am struggling today 😆

Have had a flick through but it moves so fast, I haven't really had time to check through so sorry for not replying.

I did see @Marleym28 bfp though, 🤞🏻 for you!

I'm currently 3dpo so just a waiting game 😊

cupcakesandglitter · 03/06/2019 09:13

Happy birthday @MrsEG 🎁🥳 xx

MrsEG · 03/06/2019 09:43

@LokiCat @cupcakesandglitter @Lozzlepop @FlapJackered Thanks ladies :) Off to the beach today with DH and the dog!

@LokiCat As @FlapJackered says just keep DTD until your temp rises!

@Lozzlepop We have been the same, taking a cycle off so we can get some answers before we try again. Yep, I was told that if AF didn’t show by 6 weeks to call the GP, but it came at 5 weeks so never needed to. 🤞🏻 it shows up and doesn’t ruin your hols!!

purplefig · 03/06/2019 10:06

@Marleym28 Congratulations!!! I have just been playing catch up and was great to see your Sainsburys test lead to a positive FRER!

@MrsEG HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Your cinema night sounds amazing and the beach with the dog is the best way to celebrate.

@ELW85 I think you're right in that 11 day LP might be pushing it, as implantation can happen up to 12 days. Let us know how you get on with the docs, I'd be so interested to hear what they say.

@PippaPug sorry to hear about your period arriving early - it's always a shock isn't it?! Might turned up early and totally out of the blue last month - no cramping or anything. Really startling!

@ValidUser not sure about your graph tbh, I'm a totally temping noob though! When are you planning to test?

@Jessikka Happy DH jumping Wink

@LokiCat FWIW I didn't get a sharp jump in temp this cycle, it gradually built over a few days. According to 'Taking Charge of your Fertility' it's quite normal.

Happy Monday everyone! I'm 9dpo and doing excellently at avoiding symptom spotting if I do say so myself. Possibly because there aren't really any to spot! Boobs are sore, but they quite often are pre AF. I am finding temp checking now a bit nervy....keep expecting it to plummet.

Speaking of which, if I don't get my period by Friday (13dpo) I'm going to test as we're away with friends and there'll be alcohol involved. Nervous at the prospect as haven't tested in forever...prefer to wait for AF as I find a stark white BFN far more depressing.

ELW85 · 03/06/2019 10:30

@Purplefig - welcome back!!
I had an appointment with the docs today but they called to cancel it as it wasn’t a double appointment with DH. So now I have to get him to arrange time off to come with me. Seems a bit extreme as it’s my LP we’re discussing, but maybe it’s a good thing as it sounds like they want to assess both of us?

If I use the day of O as day 1 of my luteal phase, it’s 12-13 days, so worst case it’s 11, but I’ve found more articles that confirm LP starts on day of O.

Also interesting to see that there are studies that show a gradual rise in temp isn’t indicative of an LP deficiency. There are so many contradictory papers, it’s hard to know if you’re fine or in need of help!!

@MrsEG - happy birthday!!!

MrsH497 · 03/06/2019 10:55

Happy birthday @MrsEG have a wonderful day x

MrsEG · 03/06/2019 11:16

Hello @purplefig Welcome back! 13DPO is totally reasonable to test, shouldn’t be any guess work at that stage so at least you’ll know for sure. I will keep fingers and toes crossed for you! Well done on the avoidance of SS too - it helped me to know I don’t even really get symptoms until about at least 12DPO anyway so people just torture themselves for no reason!! Good luck 🤞🏻

@ELW85 How rubbish your appointment was cancelled, have you managed to get the joint one booked in? Agreed it sounds good they are going to look in to both of you though!

Thanks for the birthday wishes ladies, just waiting impatiently for DH (he had to work a half day this morning) then off to the beach we go - there is a 99 in my future and I cannot wait haha! Have a lovely Monday ladies xx

ELW85 · 03/06/2019 12:04

@MrsEG - they’re book on the day appointments, and so I think we’ll aim for Friday as DH and I have the afternoon off together :)
Your birthday sounds fantastic, and I hope there is a reasonable amount of cake to follow that 99 in your future!! Xx

LokiCat · 03/06/2019 12:06

@FlapJackered @MrsEG @purplefig thanks ladies. DTD on the day I got a positive OPK, didn't yesterday as DH didn't get home till very late. Will hopefully try tonight when we're both home! Has been every other day so far, so hopefully we'll catch it 🤞🏽

@MrsEG enjoy the beach! I wish we had one near us, I love walking along the beach.

@purplefig fingers crossed no AF on Friday and you get your bfp!!

@ELW85 that's a bit frustrating that they cancelled your appointment, especially as it was mostly for you. Hope you can get one soon for both of you!

Have the worst back ache for some reason! I rarely ever get them.
Did some baking last night and have brought in the chocolate cookies to work so have made colleagues very happy (had to get them out of the house otherwise I'd eat them all!!)

purplefig · 03/06/2019 12:30

@ELW85 oh that is frustrating! Is DH going in for anything specific? Agree with you about all the conflicting info - it's such a pain.

@MrsEG your day sounds so good! Have a fab birthday llovely.

@LokiCat Thanks! I don't feel positive or negative about whether it'll happen this month - just grateful be managed to cover ovulation before I was away!

ELW85 · 03/06/2019 12:41

@Purplefig - I booked the apt on line and they called to say because I’d cited ‘conception’ that they’d only see us as a couple, so it was cancelled at the doctor’s request.
I’m trying to stay positive about it, but I wish I’d just said it was my cycle :(

ValidUser · 03/06/2019 12:51

@purplefig I'm testing daily at the moment because I'm waiting for the trigger shot to wash out of my system. Saving the FRERs for at least 10dpo, though!

Interesting that you prefer AF to a BFN. I'm the opposite, hence my serial testing even before the injections.
