@Laney79 I had a niggly sensation on one side from about 5-6 weeks and it's definitely in the right place (I also had spotting, a small bleed and shoulder pain so I was fairly convinced it was ectopic). If you're worried it might be best to get an early scan so at least you have peace of mind.

Congrats @ale2992!

I hope you don't mind me staying on this thread for a while longer, still very nervous about the fate of this pregnancy.
My stats: currently 7+6 in third pregnancy after MMC in October where the baby died at 12+2 and a chemical pregnancy in March.

ale2992 · 14/05/2019 18:10

Thanks everyone, trying my best to be relaxed and not worry but after two losses it's hard.
I wouldn't say they're cramps but I've felt pressure and uncomfortable in my stomach area on and off so that's causing me a little worry as well as a bit of back ache.
I'm starting to get nauseous so hoping that's a good sign.
I have another FRER so going to do that Friday to check if my lines are progressing 🤞🏻

Yukka · 14/05/2019 22:46

@moonpeace mine wee 2 at 5 weeks and 1 at 10 weeks. The theory with APS is that it can prevent good implantation in the early days, and placental development at the end of the first trimester when it starts to take over. Both can cause mc.

@laney79 as I recall pain in the right side is common And I had it early too, Ali b with other stomach pains and sensations, but if it’s consistent pain or getting worse, call epu to check.

Generally those of you in early pregnancy - it isn’t a blissful breeze and we are much much more sensitive to every twinge than none mc mums to be. Try to relax but just call go or Epu if you’re worried xx

Frillyfarmer · 14/05/2019 22:55

@InDreamland with my last pregnancy BFP on an FRER at 12DPO was a snowy white BFN on the sensitive One step ICs- I don't think they're sensitive at all!

@Beaglemum93 you're just a couple of days ahead of where I should be 😩 why has this happened again? I'm so mad I'm still fucking about with OPKs and avoiding knocked up friends all the while being told "at least you know you can get pregnant...you have a beautiful little boy". Today is a bad day.

Frillyfarmer · 14/05/2019 22:58

@Yukka did you wait until consultations and tests to start taking baby aspirin? My friend has had two 5wk MCs and decided to start taking it as there is no risk but as aspirin isn't advised in "normal" PG I wondered whether it's a prescription after tests type thing or preventative?

Lilimum7 · 14/05/2019 23:21

Update ladies:

Rmc appointment was a bit of a let down.
Had a million and one blood test, I have the worst needle phobia so yeah that was fun.

Was told I'm older so it's more likely I will miscarry than not ( great). Was told asprin from bfp and progesterone pessaries until 12 weeks if I get caught again before the next appointment. So it's a waiting game.

And even more tests. Also a few others but I didn't see the forms for those. But the nurse said it's was for inflammatory response and tumer markers what ever that is. She did a pelvic example and did all that "hmmm and ummmm" she also ordered an internal camera but I have to wait for an appointment for that. So atleast I wasn't fobbed off

@Lilimum7 sorry to hear the appointment was a let down, was it mr sizer? I know it's a lot of bloods but looking through they are pretty much what I've had through a combo of nhs and private. Did they do them all yesterday? The FSH/LH/oestradiol they normally like to do between day 2-5 of your cycle.

It's positive what they said about the aspirin and progesterone though, especially now prism has reported back. Are they doing an ultrasound? Or just the camera?

Remember if you aren't happy with things you can always ask to go to Tommy's.

Thanks everyone for your reassurance about my aches. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Got a day off today and spending it with my best friend who's over from abroad so hopefully will take my mind off things. Xx

strawberrye · 15/05/2019 07:00

@Lilimum7 I'm sorry the RMC was disappointing for you. I'm happy they have given you progesterone though, and I agree remember you can go to Tommy's if there are tests your local RMC can't or won't offer you.

I have just come across a podcast on miscarriage, I have been looking for something like this for ages and thought some of you here might like to listen too www.facebook.com/msthewordpodcast/

strawberrye · 15/05/2019 07:02

Not sure why the link didn't work, just trying again: www.mstheword.libsyn.com/

Yukka · 15/05/2019 08:13

@frillyfarmer I started aspirin after the first bloods showed possible issue. Then you get tested again after 12 weeks to confirm the diagnosis but I felt reasonably certain they would confirm. Plus older women are being recommended to start aspirin anyway on bfp - consultant told me to do that regardless. The reason I started early was because I have a theory about the uterine lining being ‘made’ from sticky blood isn’t good, so a full cycle or two on aspirin pre pregnancy ensures the environment is as receptive as possible to prevent implantation issues and those early losses xx

Yukka · 15/05/2019 08:20

@lililmum7 that’s a good set of tests there. Sorry you were disappointed. I was also told ‘age’ but they were wrong...they have to say that if nothing comes back from the tests. The only one really not there is nk cells, which nhs won’t test. Read up on that and peehaps go private for it xx

Lilimum7 · 15/05/2019 08:35

@Yukka hi the consultant did say that if the blood screening came back clear and the camera shows nothing that she recommended seeing Dr Q about nk cells. He seems to think that there is something to it but he's not allowed to test for it.

In a way I hope something treatable comes back then at least there's a reason all my babys died and it's not just bad luck.

We have been told if we want to, to just keep trying ( Dr said it's like the chances of miscarriage is 1 in 5 if you imagine a die numbered 1 - 5 and everytime we rolled so far it's always landed on 1 for us, he said it may always land on 1 for us but we could get lucky one day and get another number) exactly the words used by the way!!

Lilimum7 · 15/05/2019 08:50

@Laney79 had the AMH done because I'm Cd3. DR Sizer said that because I got a negative test before the bleeding started that means most of the hcg had left my system so would treat this bleed as a period and test anyway. He did record this latest loss though, didn't think he would believe me but he did.
Thought I would feel really good after this appointment but I don't I feel worse tbh. I'm not very good at waiting at all it's going to drive me nuts. The only supplements he advised was vit d and folic acid. He said there's no real evidence that anything else works, but if it makes us feel better. Though he did say if you take Q10 to stop taking it between ovulation and AF arrival because its not good to take when pregnant, also that progesterone cream you can buy online or in shops is a waste of time and money as it doesn't contain enough to make any difference and what is in the cream just sits in the fatty tissues of your skin and builds up there.

Frillyfarmer · 15/05/2019 09:14

@Lilimum7 I know it doesn't feel like it, but it's progress. It's a known fact that fertility decreases with age, but statistically there have never ever been so many "older" women giving birth so don't dwell on his age comment, I suspect he has to say that. It looks like you've had all the biggies tested and it sounds positive they have prescribed progesterone? Waiting is shit, especially when life moves on around you. Xx

@Yukka thank you, that makes sense. There just seems so much conflicting advice about it, I was concerned about her self medicating it in case it didn't help or made things worse.

I'm CD15 and have quite strong ovulation pains. We have DTD a few times, I go away with work tomorrow. I'm swinging between it being far too soon post latest MC to have a positive outcome to thinking "fuck it". I spend hours reading all kinds of things that could be wrong with me and talk myself back to the conclusion that I had an easy first baby. It's sunny today and I'm not at work so we're going to have the paddling pool out and I might even have a G&T this afternoon in the sun when DH comes home!

hayleyfx · 15/05/2019 17:39

The things we do for a healthy pregnancy!! My medication box 🤣 had my second Clexane (heparin) injection today, the actual injection hurt much less but the stinging afterwards was worse today... it’s 5 hours later and still hurts so bad! If I lightly touch my stomach it’s so sore. Hopefully it’ll all be worth it though.
Can I ask something that’s been stressing me a bit - is there any way that working can affect pregnancy? Getting stressed at work is making me stress about the baby being okay. I’m a nursery teacher for ages 6 weeks - 5 years so it involves a lot of lifting heavier children, changing nappies, being around germs, getting accidentally kicked in the stomach ect and I’m really stressing about working now. Dreading it everyday. Can anyone relate or help me calm down? 😣

@Lilimum7 sorry to hear your appointment was disappointing. The plan to take aspirin and progesterone though sounds like a step in the right direction. Sending hugs xx

@hayleyfx I can relate in the sense that I was worried about everything when I was pregnant. Ironically I think I worried too much. I’m no expert but I would have thought a lot of what you do is a akin to being pregnant with older children and still having to lift and look after them xx

InDreamland · 15/05/2019 22:51

@AliceRR How were the cocktails? Hope you enjoyed your evening out.

@Laney79 hope you enjoyed your day off today.

@Lilimum7 wow that's great you're getting all those tests done. Fx you get some answers.

So AF showed today Sad that's cycle 6 post mc#2 finished. Feel like shit. Why can't this just happen for us, why can't we have a baby?

AliceRR · 15/05/2019 23:55

@InDreamland I had a nice night last night and actually yesterday was mostly a nice day. I had a three course dinner with my friend and a cocktail. I have only drank once since I had my baby (and was always a light weight anyway when it came to drink) so one was enough but I had a nice time and the drink helped.

I’m sorry this wasn’t your cycle. I know how strong and overwhelming the desire to have a baby can be and it must be so difficult to have been trying for some time. I really hope it happens for you soon. I believe it will happen for you xx

ale2992 · 16/05/2019 07:40

Line progression? It is darker than it looks and also darker now it's starting to dry like the other.
Top one is today, bottom one is Tuesdays

InDreamland · 16/05/2019 08:14

Thanks @AliceRR. Glad you had a good day. I need one of those right now but I know instead it'll just be another day of grief at work and constant reminders of what I'm incapable of doing...........why is it there's pregnant women everywhere?

Frillyfarmer · 16/05/2019 08:42

Morning all, wizzing down to London for work - hate being away from home overnights 😩 typically I'm in the tail end of my FW as well! I'm fairly certain I ovulated yesterday and I'm having my usual ovulation pains and cramping, which is positive as I'm only 16 days post MC!

How are you getting on @MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue and @Laney79

Sorry AF arrived @InDreamland What is your plan with consultants etc - do you have a check back in within X months if you haven't conceived again? Hopefully the antibiotics have done their job and you were just unlucky this month. I really hope this cycle is the one for you!

Pop1234 · 16/05/2019 09:35

@InDreamland sorry to hear AF showed up. She is such a witch isn't she?

@ale2992 congrats that looks like really good line progression!!

It's been a week since my ERPC and I've made a big step and booked in to see Dr Shehata mid June. He is 4 hours away from us, but after 4 miscarriages and nothing found on the NHS I'm determined to get an answer!

Has anybody else seen him?

AliceRR · 16/05/2019 13:05

I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I keep trying replies and losing them! 😩

@InDreamland It’s seems to be the law that everyone is pregnant or having a baby and everything anyone says or does somehow relates to their pregnancy or their child or their DD’s pregnancy (that’s what it feels like anyway!!)

CB connected ov test arrived today which is good (considering I had the option to pay for express shipping which would have arrived today but I went for free delivery instead 🤷🏻‍♀️)

AW not sure when to start testing. Last cycle was short at 26 days and I think ov on CD13-14 (used first step and got two highs but no positive). Usual cycle length is 32 days but not sure if I’m irregular as I’m only 3 months PP or if pregnacare is not good for me.

I’m on CD7 so thinking maybe start on CD10 or 11 🤔

Meant to start temping today but forgot and got up to go to the loo 🙄 Is it too late anyway? Do I need to start on CD1

Sorry for all the me-centric questions 😬

Mistymeow · 16/05/2019 15:08

@InDreamland sorry to hear that. Perhaps you could speak to the counselling service through work, especially if you have to deal with a lot of pregnant colleagues?
@alicerr you're absolutely fine to start temping after cd1. I usually don't temp until cd5 but I've been temping a while now so I know what my coverline is.
@ale2992 your lines are fine, I would step away from the tests! They will send you loopy and are not a reliable indicator of whether your pregnancy will fail or not (I have everything crossed!). If you are feeling anxious perhaps an early scan at 7 weeks would help?
@hayleyfx that's quite a medicine cabinet you have there! So glad you are getting well looked after. It must be tough working in a tiring, hectic environment but please know that stress doesn't cause miscarriage. When you are further along your work will do a risk assessment (they have to by law). Is there anyone you can confide in at work to put your mind at ease? You could post on the Pregnancy board and see if any nursery teachers reach out to you with advice.
@lilimum7 I had heard that the first rmc appointment is a bit of a let down and it's mainly a load of tests, then waiting. But from what I can gather they are being extremely thorough with you.
@Pop1234 I'm glad you have made the appointment. I am seeing him in July (on the NHS, he is based at my local hospital). I'm curious to hear what he is like too, but he's meant to get very good results from what I have researched. I believe there is a long running thread on the board called the Pred thread and many of women on it are under his care- might be worth posting?

I'm 6dpo. Maybe. It's almost 10 weeks since my ERPC with no af, I think my body tried to ovulate three times. My last temp shift looks like I ovulated so I'm crossing everything that this never ending cycle will end soon!
