Hi ladies!
I think DC2 takes longer to conceive because dtd is much less frequent..... or is that just me?
DD1 has never been a good sleeper, and sleep goes to pot whenever she is ill (and she seems to pick something up from nursery basically every week!) so I’m just too tired most of the time. I think DH and I aren’t as nice to each other generally either, there’s more pressure when you have a toddler than when it’s just the two of you. I can’t believe that I was naive enough not to think of this before I had DD1!
Oh @explorers, that must be so upsetting! It does sound like something that would be treatable though......? Can they give you oestrogen or similar to combat it? Do they know if you are ovulating at all?
@Gettingonabitnow that sounds grim! How was your recovery afterwards? I had a very straightforward birth with DD1, I’m very conscious that second time round recovery would be with a toddler underfoot..... although on the bright side (looking hard for a silver lining), she’ll now be more than 3 and increasingly independent.
@Mousebatmummy, 2.5 years sounds tough. It’s hard when lots of people are expecting/have their second. The first time round I wasn’t too worried about when I’d conceive as it all seemed quite fun. That seems like such a long time ago now (although in some ways it isn’t really). The age gap makes the delay seem much bigger.
@sassenach84 super eggs! It does sound weird when you put it like that. I think I’ll say that to DH when we are expecting DC2 (when, not if.... thinking positively!)
