Decided to set up a thread for ladies due to ovulate some time around the 22nd March. If you're due to OV around this time, come on in!

I find these easier to follow than the big month-long threads.

Thought we could all test at similar times, discuss our crazy symptom spotting, and all the other "fun" around TTC.

You're doubly welcome if you're a POaS addict like me Grin

About me:
33
This will be cycle 5 after TFMR last year.

TTC our first

I've tried conceive plus, preseed, all manner of ovulation kits, etc.

This month I'm going to focus on losing half a stone. I've put a lot of weight on since my TFMR. I think i could be disadvantaging myself. I'm also going to cut down on caffeine throughout the who cycle.

I've also bought the Harvard medical school Fertility Diet book, all backed up with science so I'll let you all know how I get on with it.

Here's a summary if anybody interested: www.urmc.rochester.edu/medialibraries/urmcmedia/fertility-center/education/documents/fertility-diet.pdf

I don't want to test before next Sunday which will be 10-11DPO, but I'm thinking about going to Home Bargains to get some cheapie strips because I can have them in my possession quicker than I can ordering them through Amazon just now. But if I'll have them I'll do something stupid like test at 5dpo when I haven't even had any implantation opportunity yet.

Robbo93 · 24/03/2019 12:10

I'm the same... so impatient!! Blush

Crazybunnylady123 · 24/03/2019 13:46

Hi,

I’m 34 trying to conceive 2nd baby.
2nd month of trying.
Now in my tww.
Trying not to think about it too much, but it’s already making me slightly crazy! I think it might take us sometime.
Dd took just over a year. She’s almost two now.

Kinsella82 · 24/03/2019 14:43

Ok as some of you will remember I got a bfp on Friday, two infact but then none yesterday or today so I'm putting it down to some kind of blip.
On Friday and yesterday I also got positive opks, SO I have decided to take it that I've just ovulated. Counting yesterday as Ov day. Does that sound right? Instructions say Ov occurs 12-36 hours after the positive so 12-36 hours from first positive opk would be yesterday.
So am I 1 dpo now?
So sorry if I've confused anyone!
Also had lots of ewcm this weekend and cramps low down on my left hand side.
Had been doing SMEP so really crossing everything.
Baby dust to all!

@crazybunnylady123

I’m also 34 TTC number 2. This is my fifth cycle. Are you worried about your age & being able to conceive? I’m driving myself crazy thinking I should have tried earlier.

plipliop · 24/03/2019 22:30

@deathbycats hahaha that is me!
That's why I'm not buying any as it's too disappointing and I feel stupid!

@Kinsella82 I have no idea about that stuff. I would assume ov had happened and start counting down the long, boring TWW.

At least work will keep me busy tomorrow Grin

Crazybunnylady123 · 25/03/2019 00:44

@Explorers10
Not really worried about my age to be honest. I already know I have a chance as I have one child. I want a nice age gap so waited till now to start.
If it was my first baby I might be concerned but Women a lot older than us manage to get pregnant with no problems.

Crazybunnylady123 · 25/03/2019 00:45

Also I’m just 34! Grin

20TinkerBell20 · 25/03/2019 06:53

So I’m guessing we’re all potentially past OV date now. Does this mean we all frantically start symptom spotting even though we promise ourselves we won’t do it this month Grin

crazychemist · 25/03/2019 07:47

Yep, symptom spotting it is!
(Even though timing has meant I have almost zero chance this month I won’t be able to resist)

deathbycats · 25/03/2019 08:16

I was lying in bed this morning and felt a funny low down cramping and I knew it was too early for implantation so was lying there thinking “maybe it’s some sort of cramping to help things along out of my tube” 🤣 I’m glad I’ve got a few things to do today to keep me busy if that’s the way I’m headed with symptom spotting!

Robbo93 · 25/03/2019 08:35

Yep I'm symptom spotting and I'm only 3DPO .. no chance of symptoms yet 😂😂

Explorers10 · 25/03/2019 11:15

@crazybunnylady123

Thank you for being so positive about the age, you have made me feel a lot better! Just need to try and see what happens. Conceived on 1st cycle with 1st so being on 5th cycle TTC number 2 has made me all anxious.

Crazybunnylady123 · 25/03/2019 11:50

@Explorers10
Don’t think you should worry at all Just try and go with the Flo. 🙂
The tww is the frustrating part for me. It’s a case of am I or arnt I.
I don’t feel positive this month. Have you tried using a tracker app like flo? I’m finding I’m getting to know my cycle more. X

Explorers10 · 25/03/2019 12:29

@crazybunnylady123

Going to try and go with the flow. I think that’s been my issue been too caught up in the apps, opks and temping that I need to go back to basics and start relaxing a bit more

20TinkerBell20 · 25/03/2019 13:53

Anyone else keep getting period type pains. I’m only around 2/3 dpo and 12 days away from next AF but I’ve had sharp pain in left ovary area which has now gone which I assume was O and then now I keep getting achy bloated period type ache along with a stabbing pain which is slightly more central Hmm

Michellebops · 25/03/2019 14:21

Yes I had that yesterday. A couple of sharp stabbing pains in my boobs today.

I ovulated somewhere between Friday and Sunday with af due 6th April

Kinsella82 · 25/03/2019 14:26

Yes I'm getting them! Cramps are like the start of af but more intense! I really hope lots of us get good news by the end of next week!!

WildFlower2019 · 25/03/2019 14:48

@20TinkerBell20 yes, me! At just 2 dpo. I assumed I was imagining it. I've "imagined" just about every other symptom over the last 4 months 😂

OP posts:
20TinkerBell20 · 25/03/2019 15:01

I mean I’m usually good at symptom spotting just before AF but ok fully aware nothing will be happenning yet even if it was going too but I can defo feel these aches and pains. Very strange

WrexhamBuxom · 25/03/2019 15:54

Well...I have failed. Again. Argh.

Last I posted, I had gotten 2 positive OPKs on 3/21, and no temp rise on 3/22. Just shortly after that post, I did get a negative OPK. It was a slight negative, but it was a negative nonetheless.

This is where I failed. So, it was/is crucial to get a temperature spike to see if/when ovulation happened. BUT, I have been with my SO since 3/22, and we have made love (sometimes multiple times) first thing in the morning every single day. And other times too, but specifically first thing in the morning, before I could temp.

It's kind of crushing, because all those OPKs, all that temping, all that tracking day after day, it feels like it is all down the drain...all for nothing. I will say, after my negative OPK on 3/22, my philosophy was..."If it's meant to be, it will be." There wasn't anything I could do about it at that point. And, in that sense, I still have that viewpoint. It's still a case of timing and luck. BUT, for future reference, it's tough to not know what my ovulation situation is. I will temp tomorrow, (hopefully) and see if there has been a rise. I may not know when the rise started, but I will at least know if it's happened. And, there's always April.

Robbo93 · 25/03/2019 17:26

@20TinkerBell20 and @Michellebops looks we've ovulated at the exact same time.. I'm 3DPO today (I think!)

Too early (surely?) to be having symptoms, but I've had lower back ache for the last couple of days, and a couple of twinges today on one side of my uterus. Stuck a finger up and I had what I can only describe as milk (too watery to be lotion-like)

Michellebops · 25/03/2019 18:48

@Robbo93 I'm not actually sure when I ovulated. So I can't count how many days 🤦🏼‍♀️

I've had lower cramps and sore boobs.

Far far too early to be symptom spotting.

I had some ecwm yesterday but totally dry today.

Think I'm out before it's even started.

Bit stressed today and emotionally upset so that won't be helping xx

Robbo93 · 25/03/2019 19:13

@Michellebops me neither, I'm just going by the day after my LH surge.

I feel ya. I feel poopy too. I think we do it ourselves by stressing too much xx
