Morning ladies!! Thank so much for all your support lately. Had my interview on international women's day so had to help. One went really well and was speaking to me like the job was already mine. Il begin by covering someone who's going on MAT leave 🙈 but they don't think she will be coming back. So hopefully I could come out of this laughing 🤞🏼.

How is everyone getting on? Anymore signs for some BFPs? I'm currently CD16 and about 4DPO but we didn't really try this month with what has gone on x

BabySquid · 09/03/2019 08:04

@Lemonysherbet have you thought about testing? My friend had a short period when she was first pregnant.

Crossfitgirl · 09/03/2019 08:29

@purplefig aww so sorry for AF. Sorry for getting your hopes up so much, that was so sneaky of the bitch to just drag out a long cycle like that 😔

KittieKath · 09/03/2019 08:49

Hello everyone! I disappeared for a while to celebrate my birthday and try and 'take my mind off' the TTC thing for a while....

Sadly my birthday puts me in the 35 and over bracket. Geriatric mother is the medical term. Fuck that!

I see congratulations are in order for @trashkitten10 and @lokicat and @ohmarnie - hurrah! Wishing you all healthy and happy nine months :-) xx

Looks like it's a lucky month and thread 🤞🙏

Welcome to the newbies too!

I ovulate this weekend, so even though OH has some boys nights planned, he is under strict instruction to drink less, come home early and undertake no self satisfaction! 😋😜🤭

RosettaR · 09/03/2019 09:37

Can I join? Cycle 7 ttc #1

AF is due tomorrow and I am losing it. Had a big temp spike yesterday which made me so hopeful, then it went down a bit today but still above cover line. I also had a tiny bit of spotting last night but no more since then. I always have such good intentions of staying relaxed, distracting myself, etc. but by this point it's all I can think about. Just dreading another AF.

I feel for you @purplefig, I have had many of the same symptoms this month so was doubly hoping for a BFP for you.

BostonFern · 09/03/2019 09:38

@Jessikka I know what you mean- it took all I my energy not to cry times at work yesterday - I'm on CD13 and 2dpo though! 😭

@LuckyPenguin great news!

@Lemonysherbet did you POAS, sorry I can't remember, wondering if wasn't a period and the exhaustion could be a sign of something else?!

@bitheby Hi! I'm also 2dpo, we can do the TWW together!

Sorry she's shown up @NKB88

That sounds really positive @DayDreamer1707!

@KittieKath good to see you back. I'll be joining you in that bracket after this cycle.

Hi @RosettaR!

I think I've gone from that satisfaction of getting the positive OPK to dreading the TWW already! Work is going to keep me busy this wait though, so that should make it seem a little quicker I hope.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend ahead of them- think we are putting up flat pack furniture today 😬

bitheby · 09/03/2019 10:03

I'm cycle 1. Long and complicated story why I'm only just starting now at my advanced years but there we are.

Lemonysherbet · 09/03/2019 12:02

@lifesforlivingandloving I thought it was 6 months too but both America and the UK have just changed the guidance to 3 months, happy days!

@babysquid the thought did cross my mind but I've tried to push it back out again because I'll be disappointed if I poas and its bfn 😂 I'll just play the waiting game. I'm constantly dizzy though which is confusing me, but might just be me, as my mum says there's always something wrong with me!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, the sun's come out and I've got workmen in at my house so I'm walking round aimlessly like I don't belong here

Lemonysherbet · 09/03/2019 12:04

@bostonfern I did a cheapy internet one that came free with my ovulation tests last weekend and it was bfn but I think I only did it as my husband was away and I was bored 😂 would have been too early

KatBeCool · 09/03/2019 15:13

@bitheby I'm 40 and it's my first too. We all have a story, don't feel like you aren't one of us. This is a great place to be!

BabySquid · 09/03/2019 16:16

@RosettaR welcome, hope you don't have too many more cycles, you just get crazier and crazier... I'm on cycle11 so far!

@bitheby hope the TWW is kind to you.

@Lemonysherbet DO IT!!! Lol

So I went to Holland and Barrett this morning and asked them what I could take post Ov to increase my progesterone and she recommended Agnus Castus, but on the back of the box it says do not take if pregnant or ttc?!!!! I've googled 'as one does!' And there seems to be mixed reviews. Do I trust the H&B lady or do I ring my dr on Monday/speak to the nurse on Friday?? Not due to Ov till next Sunday anyway so I've got time. Thoughts ladies????

KatBeCool · 09/03/2019 16:36

@BabySquid sounds questionable, esp with mixed reviews. I wouldn't.

Officially CD1 today. Right after I used frer. Bitch.

RosettaR · 09/03/2019 17:01

@BabySquid I know, I thought I'd get less crazy with experience but the opposite is true! Like today I'm getting excited that AF hasn't appeared yet, but I'm not even due until tomorrow, so that means literally nothing.

Sorry to hear that @KatBeCool.

starkid · 09/03/2019 17:15

@KatBeCool - aw no sorry to hear she's arrived xx

FlapJackered · 09/03/2019 17:21

Hi ladies, I hope you're all ok and having a good weekend?
I have been a bit up and down the last week. One day I will be fine and the next day I will fall apart. I think it is partly the hormones sorting themselves out.
I am going to start taking opks tomorrow I think and hopefully get back into ttc again which will be good to have that to focus on.

@KatBeCool I am sorry for AF lovely. I hope you're ok? At least you know where you are now. Are you doing clomid again this cycle?

Welcome @RosettaR @bitheby 👋🏻

@DayDreamer1707 well done on aceing the interview!! When do you find out if you have got it?

BostonFern · 09/03/2019 19:06

Sorry to hear that @KatBeCool ......she always likes to time it just after I've POAS too.

@FlapJackered sending hugs your way x

We've just finished putting the last bit of flat pack together, now just left with the inevitable cardboard box problem. Think it'll have to be a trip to the tip tomorrow to dispose of them. Still have clothes to put away in a new chest of drawers too. It's a rock and roll Saturday night here!

KatBeCool · 09/03/2019 19:33

@FlapJackered I'm ok. I knew somehow it wasn't going to happen last cycle. Going to take Clomid again. Looking forward to happier hormones lol. Progesterone made me such an irritable bitch. Not going to use opks anymore.
You're probably right about hormones sorting themselves out. You'll get back to your normal self in no time. What CD are you now?

FlapJackered · 09/03/2019 22:56

Thanks @BostonFern ❤️
I love a bit of flat pack!

@KatBeCool I am cd12 if I count the mc as af, but not sure how this cycle will work out or if opks will even work this cycle. I am going to try them tomorrow and if they read positive already I won't bother with them and just chart instead as I think if there is hcg still in my system it can make them read positive. It would be quite good to know if I ovulate or not this cycle though.
That's good you have got the happy hormones to look forward to!! I hope second time is the charm for you!

KatBeCool · 09/03/2019 23:04

@FlapJackered thank you! Fingers crossed for Clomid baby. You can just follow same advice my Dr gave me if opks are malfunctioning for you this cycle - every other day starting cd10. Temping seems to confirm it quite well so I'm going until the three day temp rise. And I've seen your charts, they're always consistent and easy to read so you don't need opks anyway lol. I read some people ovulate up to 3-4 days after the positive OPK.

RosettaR · 10/03/2019 07:28

Ahh temps all over the place this morning. For me a drop is normally the first sign of AF. I couldn't help testing when I woke up in the night, and it was super low. But by the time I was getting up it had risen. So I don't know what to think!

Yesterday, my mum said she knew she was pregnant because she felt "prickly, like sensitive", then clarified she meant physically, not mentally. Could that be increased blood volume? Anyone else heard of this as an early pregnancy sign, or is she just weird?

RosettaR · 10/03/2019 07:36

Forgot to mention I also dreamt about a heron and some STORKS flying past our house. No idea if that is connected to all this obsessing about ttc, but I feel I am officially losing the plot.

DayDreamer1707 · 10/03/2019 07:43

@FlapJackered Monday 🤞🏼. How are you feeling today? X

Jooloo11 · 10/03/2019 09:05

Urgh, every month I am SO convinced it worked and I am pregnant, so every month when AF arrives (as it did last night) it's always a surprise and I am so disappointed. I then feel like I'm mourning for a baby that never existed, is that weird? But because each month I work out what the due date would be, imagine telling DH and my parents that I'm pregnant, so when AF is here that's all gone. Stupid I know, I wish so much I could just not think about it as much! This is the same reason I can't play the lottery, because part of me always sort of thinks I'm actually going to win each time, and had already planned what I'm going to do with the money, that the disappointment of not winning is not worth it!!

@RosettaR - never heard of that as a pregnancy sign personally, but it seems to be such a personal thing, everyone is different! Dreaming of storks is a good sign though!! :)

orangeloo · 10/03/2019 09:25

@Jooloo11 you are not alone in getting your hopes up I have also thought every month this is the month- in varying degrees. It's tough and then the disappointment is horrible but I guess the hope is what keeps us going. I think the ttc journey would be worse without that break of optimism hope gives us.

BostonFern · 10/03/2019 11:16

@Jooloo11 I know what you mean. Before TTC I used to imagine how we would tell our family, but now we are TTC I find that quite hard as I don't dare get my hopes up.

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday, I've had a lazy start reading a book and spent an hour doing some more decluttering. I don't think we will do much more than a trip to the tip and going out to a coffee shop today- we are both exhausted from doing SMEP whilst fighting off colds 😭.
