@KatBeCool Ooh a TWW buddy to get symptom spotting with! Sounds like @LokiCat is at around the same place too :)

@BabySquid I wouldn't say much at all, just that you'd like to book an appointment for the week of whenever you're due. You don't need to tell the receptionist what it's regarding. If there's a doctor who specialises particularly in women's health or fertility maybe ask to see them? It's up to you though, I just know his hard it can be to get an appointment and you can always easily cancel a pre-booked appointment.

@Lola871 I can see something there. People tend to find pink dye tests are much more reliable, maybe get a FRER and test again?

@OhMarnie That's frustrating :( Do you plan to test if AF doesn't arrive before a certain point?

@Lemonysherbet Yay, good to see you're on the way to ovulation. This was my first month doing OPKs too and I found them so helpful! I never have any idea when I ovulate otherwise

@LokiCat thanks me too. Not bad if it's longer, better to have a longer LP.

@thumper59 That's what we did this month and the OH certainly liked that plan, he's great at being positive. Only technically takes the once BD so I think your covered. Also come here and il give you a kick up the ass!! I'm sure you are beautiful and healthy x

@LuckyPenguin Awww thanks he is pretty great! I'd love to see a medium, I'd love to know if things they say ever come true, all sounds positive for you.

@BostonFern OH has set me up on the settee with a duvet and my fave programme whilst he's gone footy. He also sorted tea and cleaned up so he's in the good books ha. Let's not test early together cycle twin!! And let's have a good sleep tonight x

thumper59 · 18/02/2019 19:44

@DayDreamer1707 true that it only takes the once! I think they swim back away from my egg 😂😂. Thanks for the arse kick!! Yeah I'm on for SMEP. I've not put any pressure on my OH so far I've just come onto him or vice versa around my fertile window because if I said anything this month his exact words would be 'babe, we've only been trying one month, you was the one who told me it can take a while'. And I aren't ready to hear him be right yet. 😂😂 but if nothing this cycle I'll mention it to him and go from there. I never realised how much it would consume me! However I've been more chilled this cycle then last. I went into my first cycle all guns blazing and was so gutted when it didn't happen!

BostonFern · 18/02/2019 19:59

@DayDreamer1707 we are lucky aren't we, my DP is cooking chicken pie (with a cheesy mashed potato top 🤩) and cleaning the kitchen as I type.

@thumper59 we tried SMEP this month, I think it kind of made us happier to know there was a 'plan' too. It was tiring though 😂

DayDreamer1707 · 18/02/2019 20:10

@BostonFern seriously we did the SMEP too haha. Anything that involves cheese sounds amazing!! I honestly can't wait to sleep but want chocolate ha.

@thumper59 I wrote the plan down in my notes and shared it with my OH so he could understand it and I wouldn't have to technically say anything, think he enjoyed having some control too. Plus he liked to see that we had to DTD a lot haha. Plus your silly early days and this cycle could go well yet x

thumper59 · 18/02/2019 20:14

@DayDreamer1707 oh I know I just like to be organised. We DTD every other to every 2 days max anyway so I'll just let him know that around my FW he'll have to make sure he isn't tired 😂😂😂

orangeloo · 18/02/2019 20:24

Hi ladies, I tried SMEP last month - 1st cycle it's tiring but at the same time good to know you are doing all you can. We did every other day this cycle I think I will go with what I feel per cycle.

Does anyone else really struggle and swing with the - thinking positive ➡️ getting hopes up/ excited➡️ then calming yourself down/going back to negative as you don't want to be disappointed.

I also wish sometimes I wasn't quite as well informed as I am as I know how hard it can be. I even read the other day that 50% of fertilised eggs never implant 🙈 stats like that make it seem impossible. But I keep telling myself the world is full of people so it can't be that hard.

Sorry for the essay. Love being on this thread I definitely feel less alone.

LokiCat · 18/02/2019 21:57

@BostonFern thanks! I ended up watching Dirty John on Netflix - it's quite addictive but stopped myself from watching more than two so I don't binge watch 🙈

@Lemonysherbet yay, hope your ovulation day is here soon! 🤞🏽 it was my first time using OPK sticks and they've been really handy. I didn't realise I had to wait to let them fully dry out so kept thinking I was doing it wrong since they were so light. Figured out at the right time luckily!

@TrashKitten10 and @KatBeCool ooh yay! We'll keep each strong through TWW 😊

@DayDreamer1707 you are right, I'm just too impatient for my own good unfortunately!

MrsR16 · 18/02/2019 22:13

@orangeloo I am definitely there with the emotional rollercoaster! 7 cycles is enough to do that to anyone...

So, update, I bought a new car today and bought a new phone as mine decided to go swimming at the weekend! 🤦‍♀️ I'm figuring this TWW is going super quickly though, and I'm very distracted so this can only be a good thing!

wildrabbit · 18/02/2019 22:56

Definitely feeling that rollercoaster. Have been trying but not officially (or monitoring things much at all) for a while so trying to increase my knowledge and give this a proper go now. Which is terrifying in itself! Sending happy vibes.

wildrabbit · 18/02/2019 22:58

@orangeloo @MrsR16 meant to tag you, can you spot I'm a newbie?! Blush

Lemonysherbet · 18/02/2019 23:07

@lokicat that happened to me too! Got the old ones out the bin once I realised! Also didn’t know you could store them in the glow app until 4 days ago, it’s so clever!!

@MrsR16 yay for all the new things, sounds like a nice distraction :)

MrsR16 · 18/02/2019 23:14

@wildrabbit hey lovely, welcome to the crazy house! 😊 this is most definitely the best place to be to share this special journey!

@Lemonysherbet it sure made me feel better! 😂 xx

orangeloo · 18/02/2019 23:52

@wildrabbit @MrsR16 I'm new too and glad I'm not the only one feeling the rollercoaster 🎢 vibes.

Distractions are definitely a good thing 😀

FlapJackered · 19/02/2019 06:45

Hi girls, I hope you're all doing ok. I am going to be back to this board soon sadly. Had a bit of a shocker of a weekend. Doctor suspected ectopic so I had an emergency laparoscopy, it luckily wasn't but due to hormone levels not increasing it looks like the baby stopped growing on Friday. I am swollen, bruised and very sad about it, as you know the bfp had been a long time coming for me. Trying hard not to let the negative thoughts take over.
I have a scan on Friday to confirm it, but all symptoms have gone. I suppose it will then be waiting for the bleeding and back to opks and smep!
I probably will wait until it's all over to come back but just wanted to let you know.
Good luck to anyone testing this week. Xxx

BabySquid · 19/02/2019 06:56

Oh no @FlapJackered I'm so sorry to hear that. You'd waited so long for your BFP. We're all here for you. ThanksThanks

TrashKitten10 · 19/02/2019 07:00

@FlapJackered I'm so sorry, what devastating news 😢 I hope you're surrounded with love and support at this awful time x

thumper59 · 19/02/2019 07:15

@FlapJackered so so sorry 💕 thoughts are with you and your OH. Take all the time you need xx

MrsH497 · 19/02/2019 07:33

Still not come on still getting BFN. Stupidly last night looked at the test I had taken day before and there was the tiniest hint of a line with some pink but probably an evap as BFN today

MrsH497 · 19/02/2019 07:35

Aww @FlapJackered so so sorry to read this x

orangeloo · 19/02/2019 07:47

@FlapJackered so sorry to read this. 😔 💐look after yourself xx

wildrabbit · 19/02/2019 07:53

@flapjackered so sorry to hear that, sending lots of love.

BostonFern · 19/02/2019 07:55

I'm so sorry to hear this @FlapJackered x

MrsR16 · 19/02/2019 08:21

Oh @FlapJackered I'm so sorry to hear that! You're a strong lady and you know we're here for you when you're ready to come back xxx

DayDreamer1707 · 19/02/2019 08:22

@FlapJackered My heart breaks for you, so awful to go through this kind of pain. Thinking of you and your OH x
