Am overthinking everything. We're having an engagement party on Friday - do I drink, not drink, does it matter? Arghhhhhhhh!

@ChocolateCoins567 welcome, it does sound like Ovulation pain as thats what I have had yesterday and today just like a dull ache. Are you going to use OPKs?

Ovulation prediction kit? Probably, we both just decided to go for it this month and see, are there any you guys recommend? Hopefully not too pricey either!

I have never felt like this in the middle of my cycle, it's freaking me out! Yesterday I had very strong one sided pain, and today I've been besieged by a mild cramping pain, and an ache quite low down - what the heck! I'm all for body awareness but have I been ignoring this all this time, I'm sure this doesn't happen every month.

Any advice for not getting my hopes up?!

@ChocolateCoins567 i use one step OPKs from Amazon. They're not expensive at all and just take a bit of time to learn how to interpret them. You can also get more expensive clear blue ones but I didn't find them as helpful. Were you on contraception before you decided to start trying? I think TTC makes us all hyper aware of what's going on in our bodies. Have you got any apps on your phone to help you track your cycles?

@ChocolateCoins567 I use the same ones as @MrsAW2018 uses and have found them to be good, if you download the Glow app you can take a picture of the result and it tells you if its negative or positive and will update your OV date accordingly....ill attach a pic for you.

@chocolatecoins567 I had never felt ovulation pain until I stopped the pill, as the pill stops ovulation (as do most hormonal contraceptives I think) so that might explain it. The first time I got it it was really quite painful, even walking hurt! But I don't always get it and it's much milder now, hope that's helpful!

@MrsAW Thank you for the tip, I'll go have a look! I don't have an app, I used some online ovulation calculator thing - I've really not done this properly have I!

I had the coil removed in April and the implant put in at the same time, which came out in October. Never really noticed ovulation pain until last month, it was so sharp!

@19Bee2 - I'd ask about an appointment and explain everything you just said. The worse they can do is say no to doing any tests, but worth trying xx

AF has turned up for me which means it's the end of my TTC journey 🤷🏻‍♀️ I might pop back on here every now and then but I'm unsure, may just delete the app altogether. @starkid same here I'm on cycle 2 now lovely AF has just pissed off!

CD9. 3 days to fertile window according to ovia but I might just start doing opks from tomorrow? Or even tonight. Just to be sure! However cycle is seeming to be very on point hope it stays that way or that we conceive this month!

@MrsR16 @Lozzlepop something interesting I have read which makes complete sense and now that we are all in the OPK crew thought I would share this., you may even know this already but I get confused with all the different things going around. Basically you get extremely 'wet' on your most fertile days, looking at myself and you MrsR16, just before you Ovulate. Then when you actually ovulate there is practically nothing down there. I used to think you got EWCM on the day you was Ovulating but nope it's the days before...mind blown.

@thumper59 wondered where you'd been, your normally the one who talks with me throughout the day on here 😂. If this is your first time using the OPKs I would start using them now to make sure you catch it, we all know how our bodies like to kick in a curve ball.

Got my Soya Isoflavones. CD5 today so guess I'm doing days 5-9 with them. Going to take 2 a day, so 100mg. Will see how it goes and report back with any side effects, good or bad!

@thumper59 feeling good after circuits however we shall see how the legs feel over the next few days! I would deffo start doing OPKs from tonight to get a handle one them!

I am an absolute moron.

I've been in worsening pain all day, kind of crampy and lower abdo, back too. Of course because I've got conception on the brain, I kept thinking it was related to that and then google led me down the rabbit hole of ovarian cysts/endometriosis/pregnancy - which is just RIDIC because my last period was entirely normal and definitely a period and not an implantation bleed or anything like that. But I didn't think all that through did I, I went to superdrug and bought analgesia (which I need!) and an expensive first response test. Which is OF COURSE negative, you were/are ovulating!

Money down the drain. What a moron!
