Oh Frazzle I suppose in some way it is useful to know that it was a random thing and in no way your fault (not that it ever is anyway). Am I right in thinking though that the chance of having Trisomy 16 in another pregnancy is uncommon as that is what I just read or is there something you have read which suggests otherwise?

ratherbeshowjumping · 09/01/2019 10:16

@Prosecco AF threatened for a good week before she made any appearance, I kept rushing to the loo too feeling "wet"... I was cd31 before anything actually came. Hang in there, it's really shit.

Welcome back @Buggles!

Good luck today @Betty, hope it goes well. Hope you don't break down... always hate the pressure of knowing you can't break down, it makes it so much harder. Rubbish that it's not someone you feel comfortable with - are you able to switch?

Oh @Frazzle that's awful. I did some work on this at uni (a long time ago now), it's a complete lottery and the chances of another with this are unlikely to be high.
As harsh as this probably sounds (although I certainly don't mean it to), at least you can take comfort from the fact that there's absolutely nothing you personally did wrong. Babies with Trisomy 16 can't possibly survive.
I hope the blood tests come back as reassuring to DP as there is likely to be nothing but bad luck on your side there. Sending lots of love to you xx

Woke up with a horrible cold again this morning. Luckily working from home today so spending it wrapped in a duvet Sad

Frazzlerock · 09/01/2019 10:37

I have read that it is unlikely to happen again but I am convinced Emily had the same thing as she got to 9 weeks as well. Although she actually grew to nine weeks. Popsy didn't get bigger than 6.

It has hit me and I just feel so so sad about it, or maybe it is just talking about our baby again that has brought it all back.

I am trying to remain positive about it. DP was very sweet but he said he needs to google it before he knows how he feels about it.
If he puts TTC on hold I will end up in that horrid hole I was in before.

Right, enough about me, I need to catch up on you x

@Frazzle have a read of this. An interesting article all-round but if you have a look at the What Causes Miscarriage section, it does say that chromosomal abnormalities, namely Trisomies 16, 21 and 22, are the cause of 50-85% of miscarriages.
So chances are, yes, Emily was likely to have had this too, but chances are, most of our poor little ones also did.
It's really shit Frazzle, but certainly doesn't mean it will happen again. Keep your hopes up xxx

@edidxb I hear you on the long days. Exhausting!

@Prosecco How's the bleeding today?

@Twittle Glad to hear DH is coming around now. If it is of any consolation, DP's reaction to two of our pregnancies has been shit. and one of them was planned. I'm hoping our next one has a better reaction.

Welcome back @Buggles! Have a high five sister for the 'Oldies Club' - we should rename that!

@Betty sorry you were feeling down.. but good news for BFN at long last! How did it go with the GP?
Nice one with the resolutions, you're doing well! I don't have NY resolutions, my only one this year is to have a successful pregnancy!

@Kinsters is all this stuff you're doing with FF just for the paid version?

@tigsy Sorry your temps aren't giving you any info re ovulation. Just think of those eggs and your ovaries waiting to pop out the most perfect one x

@Rose68 yeah DP does know how important this is to me, but he knew how important it was to me when he told me we weren't going to try again after our second loss and that he never wanted children anyway. I was suicidal at times and he still wouldn't budge.
Still, I have spoken to him now and, like I say, he seems to be okay.
I've also got the dry mouth - drinking lots of water, also got this horrid metal mouth that I seem to get in in every single TWW, which should be a preg symptom but it is n't for me Angry
Well done for getting the house on the market, I wanna see photos!! I love house porn.
Interesting what your acupuncturist advised. Shows he's not just in it for the money though and maybe if it isn't working, then you could try something else?

@Rather thank you for that link. I will look at it in a bit. Sorry you're coldy Sad So many people I know are coming down with colds. I hate winter!

My temp has risen again. I will post my chart from my phone as I'm on laptop right now...

Frazzle not a bad view ey! haha

Also, that 8dpo temp drop followed by a rise today....!! Trying to not get excited for you!

Rose68 · 09/01/2019 11:36

Frazzle, I know nothing about charts, but that chart looks pretty good to me! x

ratherbeshowjumping · 09/01/2019 11:37

Ah Frazzle how exciting.....!

Chart looks pretty good too Wink

When are you planning on testing?!

Kinsters · 09/01/2019 11:45

Frazzle your chart looks so lovely! I'm not sure whether these features are paid for version only. If you look in settings you might be able to see general charting setup and change it. Sorry about the genetic results, I think whatever the result it was always going to be difficult information to receive. Be kind to yourself.

Ratherbe that's a really interesting article, thanks for sharing.

Frazzlerock · 09/01/2019 11:47

When are you planning on testing?! - er never!? haha. Erm, I don't know really. I tested at 14dpo last time so may do that again. I don't know how long my LP is so it is hard to know when is best to test.

I really want to test after AF is due as would rather see AF than a BFN

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 09/01/2019 11:50

Can totally understand that Frazzle so hoping you see another lovely rise tomorrow

Whats everyone doing with their day today? Feel like I am melting in the office today but rest of my colleagues reckon the temp is same as always!

Frazzlerock · 09/01/2019 12:25

@Twittle usual work!
Weds evening are Family Night so no one has any clubs and no one is allowed to go to the pub after work. DP had already got dinner going in the slow cooker this morning before he left. Chicken and sausage curry (we like to be a bit maverick with what we have in the fridge Wink)
Talking of food, I just had the most delicious Mexican 'Hot box' for lunch. We get free lunch on a Weds at work and it is usually pretty good. Today's was from Chilango which I think is a chain so if you're near one I advise you to go in.

WFH on Friday which I am looking forward to, especially as DP is too Smile

I was also hot in pregnancy. In fact it is another TWW symptom I get where my cheeks are flushed. I don't know if this is AF symptom or preg symptom or I am just a bit flushed. My cheeks are hot now but have cold hands.

Oh shit I’m feeling really stressy about all this ttc.

BettySwoll0cks · 09/01/2019 12:37

Deep breath @Rose68 what has triggered you do you think? Thanks

Frazzlerock · 09/01/2019 12:42

@Rose68 what are you thinking? X

Btw, I just found out the sex of our baby. The receptionist called me back to ask me something, so I asked her.
We had a little boy 💜

OP posts:
Rose68 · 09/01/2019 12:53

Oh Frazzle, you were right 😢

The trigger will be because I’m probably going to test in the morning, even though I know it will be bfn. I’m not sure I should share what I’m thinking, it’s not great really x

Frazzlerock · 09/01/2019 12:57

@Rose of course you should share! I am pretty sure all of us will understand whatever it is that is on your mind. Is your AF due tomorrow?

And yes, I was right! I had such a strong feeling he was a boy. Makes me even more sure that Emily was a girl.

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 09/01/2019 12:58

We are all ears and hearts for you Rose and it is always better to share and get out what is causing you pain / anxiety

Frazzle oh that is bittersweet isnt it Flowers We had a slow cooker curry last night actually, delicious!

I havent heard anything back about my results but also not sure who I am meant to call?

Rose68 · 09/01/2019 13:05

Oh bugger, now I’m crying. Right must pull myself together and tidy my house. I might try to leave MN alone for a few hours, I’m not even sure if that’s possible.

Frazzlerock · 09/01/2019 13:06

@Twittle I initially called the EGAU (where I had my op) and they gave me the number of the consultant's receptionist

OP posts:
tigsyboo · 09/01/2019 13:06

@betty
We all have down days where we share things that we worry about. I think we all understand.

I was thinking about leaving the group last night because I was so upset about not ovulating and my cycles being messed up and felt like I wasn't 'keeping up'... but today I realise the support here is what's getting me throughout
Share away hun, it's no doubt not something we haven't thought ourselves xxx

tigsyboo · 09/01/2019 13:07

Sorry I meant @rose should share!!

Frazzlerock · 09/01/2019 13:10

@tigsy I think we will all have days like that xx

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 09/01/2019 13:21

oh we certainly all feel like that tigsy

I cant stop thinking how this BFP is soon gonna turn into a BFN and it will be another CP again or worse, I'll get further along and it will be another MC.
