They do sweet fuck all @frazzle 😂😂
They write a report telling my boss what I can and can’t do.... which my boss will invariably say ‘ok.... but can you just.....’ and it’s out the window from there! 👍🏼

I had something similar showing the sprog in our office my wedding pics... ‘oh tigsy you look lovely, i hope I look that glamorous when I’m your age!’... fuck off sprog

Frazzlerock · 08/01/2019 09:53

i hope I look that glamorous when I’m your age! Shock Shock

Oh wow Twittle, congratulations! I am sure DH will be fine. I was thinking one of us dpo sisters would get a bfp & I knew it wouldn’t be me.

@Frazzle no bowel movements today so far 😁

@Tigsy I think your job sounds amazing.

Another boring job here I’m afraid, I’m an accountant, although currently I’m a sahm. I’m not sure the sahm bit is any good for me though.

I have never heard of Tomms or whatever it’s called, will have to google later. I’m ashamed to say I have a cleaner, but only every other week.

BettySwoll0cks · 08/01/2019 10:09

Ha I know! One of the more junior pilots here (I'm in aviation) said to me just before Christmas "you're pretty old, you must have qualified on Gazelle right?" Gazelle helicopters had their heyday in the Iraq War for goodness sake, and is now basically a museum piece. I'd have to be about 50. Little millennial blighter.

Pegase · 08/01/2019 10:30

How funny that there are lots of teachers! I am Asst Head in a secondary. Think I could manage Dep Head one day but don't think I'd like to go any further!

@tigsyboo a lot of my work over the past 8 years has been safeguarding so I normally go on DSL courses to be trained by people like you. I actually left my last teaching job as I couldn't cope with the sheer volume of urgent safeguarding cases (and lack of response from Children's Servjces) so credit to you for doing such a hard job!

I feel like this month is really dragging. Haven't even ov yet let alone entered TWW. Think DH and I will run out of steam if it is much longer!

Frazzlerock · 08/01/2019 10:33

@Rose68 we had a cleaner 4 hours fortnightly, but it was adding up and we could really have done with that cash ourselves, so we were thrilled when we discovered TOMM. We did the 'Bootcamp' then got into routine but then realised we just can't manage it when we both work FT and have to commute too so we stick to weekends and that suits us. It is worth a look at. Our house looks better now than it did when we had a cleaner!

Ha ha!! I know it’s like I’m Barbara Cartland or something!!

One of the lads in the office overheard and took a sharp intake of breath and said ‘Jesus sprog - you on a suicide mission?’ 😂😂

Frazzlerock · 08/01/2019 10:37

I am so bored today. Nothing to do so I am going from MN to FB constantly.

Just spotted this on our local buy/sell group. Cheered me up a bit 😂😂

TwittleBee · 08/01/2019 11:15

I am so shocked by some of the comments you ladies have received!

likewise frazzle its a real slow day today.

Rose you dont know! You might also get a BFP too! Doesnt just have to be 1 of us DPO sisters! Actually shocked it was me as it took me 12 months to get the last one (not counting the couple CPs)

Frazzlerock · 08/01/2019 11:22

Oh jeez @rather I'm imagining all sorts of things now! haha

Exactly @Twittle, hopefully it will be the three of us, closely followed by the rest of us!

Pegase yes to time dragging! We're on day 23 and give we normally dtd a couple of times a week it's getting pretty tiring!

Betty you fly a helicopter?! That's so cool! My DH is doing his private pilots licence atm in a little cesna. Only as a hobby so it'll take him a few more months to qualify still.

Kinsters · 08/01/2019 11:49

I want to go to the badger hideout!

tigsyboo · 08/01/2019 12:09

Well Occ health have been amazing!!
Really feel sorry for me with the MC and have said I can work reduced hours on full pay for 3 months!!! 👍🏼

Frazzlerock · 08/01/2019 12:14

Woohoo! That's fab news @tigsy

Kinsters · 08/01/2019 12:22

That's wonderful tigsy! Is it quite common in your line of work for people to do that to avoid burnout?

TwittleBee · 08/01/2019 12:24

what a relief tigsy !

tigsyboo · 08/01/2019 12:48

No girls
It's virtually unheard of!! They have the worst welfare I've ever known! It's 'if you don't like it leave... oh wait... you can't!! Shut up now!'
I was off sick for 3 months with anxiety and got bfp and mc during that period too.
I told the nurse all about it, the response of 'an I going to ttc again or concentrate on work and not going sick', that my first day back last week I walked into an empty office and left to fend for myself... and she said she wasn't having it and I needed to ease back in!
Usually up get half hours for 2 weeks and no public duties for a month.... I've got 4 hrs a day for a month, 5 hours for a month and 6 hours for s month!
She went on to say she hopes by then I'll have my bfp and she'll restrict me again (you have to be medically restricted early in my job as if it all kicks off like the riots a few years ago you are fair game to be in heels oneminute and then in riot gear the next minute for a 12 hr shift if you aren't properly restricted!)
I gave a feeling she might be able to relate with the MC, she seemed to really soften when I started to talk about that.

BettySwoll0cks · 08/01/2019 12:49

Well that's a turnup for the books tigsy!!

I don't suppose anyone has got an tips for not falling apart completely in tears when explaining their situation to doctors/healthcare people? I just had to make an appointment for a medical review and even doing that on the phone has really upset me - just the prospect of having to talk about it all 😪

tigsyboo · 08/01/2019 12:49

Sorry....
usually you get put on half usually hours at first ...

Kinsters · 08/01/2019 13:07

Betty I'm a crier - it's just who I am and there's very little I can do to stop it. It used to cause arguments with DH in earlier days because he'd think I was crying to shut him down (i.e. when we were arguing) but I wasn't at all - crying is just a response to anger or sadness for me.

Thinking about it my only tip would be don't give them time to start the conversation - you be the one to start it and try and start as you mean to go on i.e. unemotional and factually state everything as clearly as you can. That way they have no cause to ask how you are or what's the matter. I always find that sets me off. I guess it's a very personal thing though.

Even if you do end up crying I'm sure they'll have seen it before and wouldn't think badly of you.

tigsy those hours sound great and just what you need. Make sure you don't let your boss bully you into doing more!

Rose68 · 08/01/2019 13:29

Tigsy that’s great news, it will be so much better for you while ttc! I expect she could relate to having a mc, unfortunately I think most women can.

Frazzle my cleaner is also 4 hours every other week.

Betty, I am also a crier, I am pretty sure that not only will they be used to it, they will be expecting it.

tigsyboo · 08/01/2019 13:41

@betty cry!!!! Why not?? It's fucking shit!!!
I cry every time, I don't try to stop it now because why should we pretend to be ok when we aren't? I think sometimes showing how you feel gets the best results.... xx

ratherbeshowjumping · 08/01/2019 13:54

@tigsy great result... looks like you saw the right person. What a kind lady. X

@Betty I'm a crier too. No tips whatsoever. I think they're used to it and wouldn't worry about getting embarrassed (know this absolutely does not help).

Frazzlerock · 08/01/2019 14:31

That is really is great @tigsy, you needed someone like her, have you seen her before?

@Betty don't be worried about crying! My god, I am terrible but I don't give a fuck. I just let the tears roll! Though I understand some people aren't comfortable with crying in front of others.

I have spoken to a physio and he has sent me some exercises to do so will try those on my own and if it doesn't improve I will have face to face treatment. Thankfully he doesn't think it is a disc.

I also tried to ring about the genetic testing but I had to leave a message as the receptionist only works until 2pm on Mondays

How is it only 2:30!
