I really don't want to do the pg test on the CBFM- that is far too stark for my liking!

Realised the only month I OPKed since starting to TTC was in fact a 26 cycle (prior to mc). Have worked out I had an 8 day luteal phase before my period, if OPK was correct. Which seems to suggest my luteal phase does vary. Wish I had been more clued up on this before. Worrying.

Morning all.
So I did my opk this morning about 10am. I find it really hard to use FMU as I am usually both really hard and also desperate for the loo when I wake up so faffing around with trying to tear things open is a nightmare.
Anyway I had held urine for about 3 hour which is what I usually do. Did my test with my pink Clearblue test. Its just the original one, not the advanced with the flashy smileys. I found I preferred either no smile or it's a positive smile rather than the weird in between phase. Anyway......I did it and it came up with an error that I either didn't get enough urine on it or too much or some other problem. I took the test out and it looked like it was positive. I know the test sticks aren't the same as the normal opk tests but I always check and it normally looks like a normal opk test if it's positive. I had collected the urine and done a cheap internet test at the same time which also looks positive.
I will try and save urine up for the next few hours and test again with the Clearblue but what do you think?

Ok, did the test again 2 hours later and got the smiley face
Yay! Now just need to work how to get DH up for it. Also, pre miscarriage I think I was on the far end of ovulating following an Opk sometimes as much as 3 days. Or at least that's when my temp rose.
What is the average in this group? Are you more like 12 hours later or 48 hours? Need to try and get the timing right.....

Yay get on it edidxb good luck. For me it is the next day my temp spikes so I'm probably in the 12-24 hours post positive OPK. I say DTD tonight and again tomorrow maybe?

Oh ladies I'm having a mare!!
I've been temping with both my lady comp and then my standard bbt - which is on my kindara chart.

I didn't start last comp until CD19 (which I think was day after Ov) and decided to plot the line out as the temps are always different to my bbt chart....

The ONLY similarity is that it's raised temp cd19-20, the rest is a completely different pattern!!! What do I believe?!

Sorry to see your bfn @tigsyboo - you've definitely got a chance though, you're still very early to be getting a BFP! Fx'd. Don't worry about crying - it's the most natural reaction to a bfn in our positions... xx

@Rose68 hope your tax return goes ok. Such a pain to do... dh & I were discussing being more fertile after a mc too... i personally think it's rubbish. Think how much your body goes through to create & subsequently lose a life, not to mention the medical management that most have had... it must take a while to get back to "prime." Sorry to hear DH is unlikely to be there, that's really shit xxx

@Kinsters I've read that too! Reading up more on the "turkey blaster baster" method, they encourage you to orgasm. I think the cervix contracting helps propel the sperm forward & they don't have to work as hard to reach the egg.

Looks positive to me too @edidxb - personally I think I ovulate 12hrs after my smiley. Have fun 😜

AF turned up just after my rant on Thursday night, which probably is a good thing as not waiting around for it.

I’m sorry I can’t offer any help on the charting, I’ve never done it. On the positive opk, I get ovulation pains the same day as the smiley face, ov pains last a good few hours, maybe as much as 12, so I think I ov within 24 hours of seeing that smiley face.

@tigsyboo how does the lady comp work? Does it take the temp vaginally and the BBT orally?
I would be more inclined towards the BBT but only as I know how to do it and the chart looks like one I recognise. The other chart still has highs in the right place so looking at it carefully it does look right but just more in general if that makes sense?

I am CD15 today and got my smiley face. DH is not feeling well today. He says he didn't sleep well last night and he has an upset stomach......I haven't told him it's smiley face day yet today but am sure it's not going to go down well. Argghh, I feel stressed already about it!

It’s an oral bbt.... and I put them both in my mouth at the same time but they never give the same temps.... I’ve tried doing them both again and they keep to their own temps, so god knows which one is wrong!!

I think AF is on the way as feel cranky and bloated and that is worrying me about my luteral phase being short.

I dunno what to believe about fertility after MC.... doesn’t seem to be the case for most here

tigsyboo It's the overall pattern, the overall rise and fall that you need to look at when temping. You shouldn't worry about different individual temps as such. If there's still a clear rise then that's what matters.

I feel really needy too @tigsyboo. At my godmothers house being spoilt rotten but can't help thinking how i talked to her back in early November & she was saying how excited she would be to see my little bump etc 😢

we just had a massive fight - in fact, I didn't but DH just went mental about something non TTC related. We are meant to be going away in Feb and I hadn't realised my parents are coming for 3 days and it eats into the time we were meant to be away. We haven't booked anything, but he has stormed off and hasn't said a word to me.
So even though he felt ill, we definitely won't be DTD tonight and knowing my husband probably not tomorrow night either as he will still be angry then. So there goes this month. I just feel a bit numb to it right now - I haven't got the energy to be upset.

Mine goes in a mood for days and it's annoying me at the moment that I have to try and prematurely end arguments to have sex that normally I'd not want after he is an arse!

He went to bed saying good night, but no kiss. Not sure when this will end. Fell so frustrated as it's another month gone. 2nd month past mc, first month of acupuncture so all the signs are good.

My temp hasn't gone up this morning, so still chance I haven't ovulated yet so there is still a chance tonight but I would be very surprised if anything were to happen.

Work today too, so not like we can chat anything through during the day either!

I was hoping my temp would have have gone up this morning as we DTD on Thursday night and that would still have given me a chance but obviously not meant to be.

That is really so shit edidxb . Hopefully temp doesn't rise until after a night of DTD. Does your DH respond well to texts? My DH actually seems to finally understand my side of what's happening if I write it down via text. I think it's because we are both so emotional face to face. Also I think it's easier for him to them admit he was wrong via text too

I've not had chance to catch up properly. We're in Berlin and having a fab time. Seen loads and eaten loads!

I've a question for the experts re my temp post AF.
With Ovusense they say absolutely not to use it during AF. I'm still yet to work out why that is but anyway...
So AF is finally pretty much gone so I shoved it in last night and got a relatively high reading for so early in my cycle. My cervix is high soft and open and I had a rummage and found EWCM albeit blood stained from remnants of AF. (Probs shouldn't have used Ovusense but I wasn't bleeding at all from yesterday lunchtime).

During my preg cycle my temps immediately post AF were 36.2 and below.
My last cycle I had higher temps to begin with obviously because of preg hormones still coming down.
But this cycle my post AF temp is 36.6 which is much more of a ovulation/post ov temp.
Do our temps go up during AF then fall?
Or is that a bit odd and could I be ovulating ridiculously early? (EWCM and HSO cervix?£
Or am I reading waaaaaay too much into this and I should probably see what the next few days do?

I know cervix has to be high and open during ovulation but I'm not sure of the cycle of movement throughout the cycle? Around ovulation time I can't really reach mine. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable is awake!

In other news, I am 35 today

Oh and I also had what I can only describe as ovulation twinges yesterday on the right hand side. Like shooting pains.
But I discounted the pains as just random seeing as I was finishing AF

Frazzlerock temps are often really rocky during AF so that might be why? Also, it isn't uheard of people Oving straight after AF (basing on other MNers experiences I've run into over the years) but i think it is unlikely. I would consider you haven't OVd (I get similar EW mixed with blood at end of AF).

Thank you @TwittleBee ! That would explain it all then. I also think ov is highly unlikely so early on too. I shall sit tight for, hopefully, a normally ovulation in a week or two

I'm not sure how much help this is but since the mc I've had "stringy" type cm mixed with blood when I wipe. Similar to EWCM but not quite. Haven't read into it as all of my AF symptoms are completely new since the mc.
