Sorry @ratherbe that's rubbish. It was extra cruel that you had the line.

Have fun in Berlin @frazzle I love that city!

The tiredness @tigsy that has to be a good sign!

I have just eaten my frozen pizza and now my.glass of wine. Hoping work can be less hectic next week so I can try and eat better!

Rose68 · 17/01/2019 18:00

@Ratherbe my DH regularly falls asleep on the sofa watching sky sports, but I quite enjoy having the bed to myself ☺️

tigsyboo · 17/01/2019 18:44

@rather
I know that feeling!! DH forever watching shit on tv and now I’m ‘dragging him to bed’ it feels so forced!! I think my long phase pre-Ov burned him out a bit so when it came to Ov time he was like ‘haven’t we done it enough?’
Plan next month is starve him the first week so he’s gagging for it by Ov week x

Pegase · 17/01/2019 18:50

@tigsyboo I could have written your post. Feels forced that suddenly I am dragging him to bed, always trying to drag him away from TV, started too early before ov. Etc etc.

Men!

Rose68 · 17/01/2019 20:15

Definitely make DH wait a few days! I think it’s good to build up the sperm before ovulation x

Evening all, finally getting round to catching up after a busy week. Today was a good day as we got a nice dusting of snow here in the North East. Although if truth be told i am still feeling a bit sorry for myself as I've just found out my cousin is pregnant with her second baby.We are very close but very very different! she is very overweight and very jolly but underneath it all is quite sensitive about her weight and actually lacks confidence despite being this larger than life happy go lucky character. Don't get me wrong i am no size six but I am a healthy weight and if I put on few pounds I like to lose it but she gets annoyed at me if I complain about putting on a few pounds, she'l say i don't know how lucky I am etc, yet she does nothing to help herself. On top of that she drank during her last pregnancy and thinks me, my mam and sister are a bit "mother Teresa" with our views on a zero alcohol policy during pregnancy, so it just seems so unfair that shes been blessed with a second and i know I sound awful and judgey and jealous but arghh its just so hard! I also found out that my sister and Mam have actually known about her pregnancy for her a few weeks but chose not to tell me in fear of upsetting me after MC but i feel a bit miffed about that even though the rational part of me knows they did out of love!

@bettyswolllocks i am also still waiting for first Af. It is now day 40 and I am getting very stressed about the whole thing! so I know exactly how you're feeling!

@buggle totally jealous you have got your Af which is a prhrase I never thought I would say to anyone ha. When mine does arrive defo going to have a celebratory drink.

@tigsyboo I am loving your team cups! I defo like yours the best!I love foxes and I could definitely do with one at my workplace.

@ratherbe sorry about the negative

@frazzle enjoy Berlin!!!

@Edidxb your wine and pizza sounds like heaven and I think I may have to copy for a Friday night treat tommorow!

Pegase · 18/01/2019 06:21

New source of anxiety- what if I have a short luteal phase? I have had some 26 day cycles in past 6 months but definitely ovulated around day 21 both this cycle and the one ending in mc. Wasn't tracking ov at time of 26 day cycles but really hoping it didn't occur on day 21 then! Can ov day vary a lot between cycles?

Kinsters · 18/01/2019 06:40

Pegase luteal phase should stay the same length cycle to cycle, its the pre ovulation phase which can differ. So yeah, ovulation day would vary cycle to cycle. If you're worried about your luteal phase I think it's probably a sign not to be worried that you did get pregnant (even though it ended in MC). As far as I know, a short luteal phase would mean you never got to the pregnant stage.

TwittleBee · 18/01/2019 08:30

Good morning all! Its Friday!

Pegase just supporting what Kin stated. Your LP should be same every cycle (so when people say they're AF is late/early they actually mean they OVd later/earlier than usual)

Prosecco brrr snow! Do you enjoy it? I do understand what you mean about your cousin, seems unfair when she is being so unhealthy and you are trying everything.

tigsyboo · 18/01/2019 08:59

Morning
So this morning my cb monitor said I could test for pregnancy (cd26).... I thought what the hell I know I'm only 8dpo but I have 5 tests in the pack. I knew what it was going to see, and sure enough I'm not pregnant ... but seeing it like this was so definitive. I burst into tears. I should be 17 weeks now and instead I'm being told in flashing lights I'm not pregnant. Why oh why did I think that was a goof idea 😢

TwittleBee · 18/01/2019 09:00

oh tigsy that is so bloomin stark and in your face isnt it Sad I am sorry

edidxb · 18/01/2019 09:20

Oh @tigsy I know. It's awful. When I was TTC in between miscarriages last year I decided after the first 2 months I wouldn't test again until AF was late as I couldn't bear to see a negative test. It really upsets me, more than just AF arriving.
@pegase my luteal phase did vary between 10 and 14 days before. I was trying to get it longer by eating better etc and it did work slightly. But anything less than 10 days means you can't get pregnant.
@proseccobee I know what you mean. I was listening to another of my podcasts yesterday and it was about the opiod crisis in America and it was a lady who was a heroin addict for 15 years, been clean for a year and just had a baby! Whilst I am so impressed she has turned her life around it did upset me somewhat that she got pregnant whilst in recovery and carried to full term!
I had a slight lie in this morning, have been to the supermarket, just had a cup of tea on my sofa and am just generally so happy that I am not at work!!!!!
We DTD the last night but still a negative OPK today.....

Rose68 · 18/01/2019 09:23

@Tigsy 8dpo is really really early, plenty of time yet. Sending you a big hug Flowers

@Pegase if your LP was only 5 days you wouldn’t have got pregnant cause your AF would have started before it had a chance to implant. I’m sure you have nothing to worry about, but maybe start tracking how long between ov and af. x

@Prosecco sorry about your cousin, that’s crap. Enjoy the snow! I think it’s forecast here next week. x

Rose68 · 18/01/2019 12:12

It’s gone quiet on here 😞

I am trying to do my tax return, but keep getting distracted by Mumsnet and feeling fed up, plus I know this month is a write off before we even get there. There have been a few bfp’s on the over 40’s thread recently, so how come I can’t do it? As Frazzle said, I thought we were more fertile following an mc....

Kinsters · 18/01/2019 12:29

I'm just in the boring waiting to ovulate period. CD4 so definitely not fertile and definitely not pregnant. Boring!

I wish we were more fertile following an MC! I was speaking to a colleague today whose pregnant, at about the same stage I should have been so its going to be quite upsetting (idk if that's the right word) to see her pregnancy progress the same way mine should have. She said she had a miscarriage last year as well so hopefully I can do the same as her and get pregnant soon after.

edidxb · 18/01/2019 12:32

Hi @Rose68 - we are meant to be more fertile following a miscarriage. I have read lots about it and if you get pregnant during the 3 months following a miscarriage the chances of not having a miscarriage again drop a lot. The odds are still good within 6 months but then the stats drop again. I was just at the 6/7 month border line after my first miscarriage.
Apparently the levels of folic acid etc in our systems following a miscarriage are meant to help conceive again and keep it.......

BUT, as we know, it's never as simple as that unfortunately.

Urggghhh - tax return. I hate doing any form of paper work.

I am a bit annoyed here as I feel I am wasting a day off as I have mainly sat at home. But I am so tired it feels good to have a lazy day at home.

Kinsters · 18/01/2019 12:35

I love tax so if anyone has any tax questions fire away!

Rose68 · 18/01/2019 12:41

Oh dear this is month 3 for me and DH likely to not be here at the right time. I think I may as well give up.
I’m cd 5 so very similar, it is boring. I am trying to do femoral massage on myself again, but it’s bloody hard and I just keep thinking what is the frigging point.

Kinsters · 18/01/2019 13:10

I read about the increasing blood flow to the uterus to help with lining growth so on my pregnancy cycle I had an orgasm every day from CD1 to ovulation...

BettySwoll0cks · 18/01/2019 13:29

@Kinsters that's as good an excuse as any!!

Rose68 · 18/01/2019 13:30

Interesting! I haven’t heard that one before!

tigsyboo · 18/01/2019 13:43

@Kinsters ..... self induced?? Sounds like fun!! 😂

TwittleBee · 18/01/2019 14:37

Kin Yeah I read about how orgasms could help get the sperms up there towards the egg and help make a good environment for fertilisation too! I'm pretty lucky DH pretty much always get me to that point but on times he doesn't, I'll finish myself off once he leaves the clean himself up hahaha! No clue if he noticed what I was doing!

Kinsters · 18/01/2019 14:45

Betty haha yes! I didn't tell DH last time and just did it either normally with him or by myself if he wasn't around. Maybe this cycle I'll tell him it's a must do and request some help 😂

Rose it's not a thing at all! Just my own idea after someone on another thread mentioned things they were doing to increase blood flow down there and I thought orgasm must be a good way to get the blood flowing!

tigsy more fun than a heat pack or yoga! Combination of self induced and not, DH location and willingness depending.

Twittle I've heard that too. Sometimes we finish together but normally I'm a good while before DH so don't get that benefit. Once he's finished I find it really hard to finish myself, I get too preoccupied with messing up the bed sheets

Sorry all for the tmi!!

tigsyboo · 18/01/2019 17:28

Hi all
I know 8dpo is too early... and the cbfm I've found out is 50ml sensitivity which is way too high for early reading.... but I'm cd26 today and I had a 26day cycle last month.... I know it was stupid to test but. Thought 'just maybe?'
Anyway it's set the tone for this month and I anticipate AF soon I just hope my lutural phase is Over 10 days so at least something is right! X
