Sorry that sounded insensitive - had DD over my shoulders so cut off early. I mean maybe for you and DH spend some time doing something fun together that eases the TTC pressure on your relationship.

ratherbeshowjumping · 13/01/2019 09:33

Thank you @Rose68 & @Kinsters 😂 should have mentioned that LH was the horse!

Haven't really mentioned the mc 18 months... Jesus actually closer to 2 years ago... much as the Dr has encouraged me not to think of it as a "pregnancy." I fell pregnant on the coil, thought I had a sickness bug, did a test to rule it out & found out I was 6 weeks. They told me that the baby wouldn't survive if I opted to keep the coil in & if I chose to take the coil out, it was a 75% chance I would miscarry. So I chose to take it out & started bleeding the next day. It was gutting but much easier to process than this one, if you see what I mean?

Kinsters · 13/01/2019 09:39

Oh wow ratherbe that's crazy. And coils are supposed to be really reliable. Was it the copper one or the mirena?

ratherbeshowjumping · 13/01/2019 09:40

@Kinsters it was awful. It was the mirena coil.

Kinsters · 13/01/2019 09:50

Yes, I can't even imagine. If you can't trust your contraception what can you trust.

Pegase · 13/01/2019 10:00

That sounds awful @ratherbeshowjumping

Someone I know got pregnant while on depo injection and then had a very traumatic mc requiring emergency hospitalisation. Horrific.

So I have maxed out the fertility monitor. Over 10 days of high and no peak (LH surge). Am pretty sure am having a normal cycle however so have ordered some one step opks to use for future. Do people do these morning or evening?

tigsyboo · 13/01/2019 10:14

Pegase I maxed out mine too but it told me to carry on testing.... I'm Day 21 with no peak on that but IC's suggested LH surge 3 data ago and had temp rise now (although slight dip this morning)..
I thought you had to keep testing on the cbfm for a while cycle so it's learning you? Otherwise next cycle might be a 'learner' one too. Seems a waste of stick but I figure I'd rather waste the sticks than waste a month??

I'm concerned as the temp rise has come st weekend when I get extra 2 hrs in bed?? Is that coincidence?? Also gone back into my app and seems to have generated its own cover line... dies it look right?? @Frazzlerock @TwittleBee I know you both feel shite today (and rightly so!!) but could you have a squint? Xxx

@Rose68 we had a two natural conceptions last year but both ended in mc, one mc at just 5 wks then one mmc at around 9 but discovered at 12wk scan. We’ll keep trying but it would be nice to know if there is anything wrong with either me or DH which means we’ll continue to miscarry. 3 mcs seems a long time to have to wait for investigations at this age. I think I’ll look into private tests if we have no joy this month.

TwittleBee · 13/01/2019 11:13

Sorry I'm being so negative today, just don't feel like I can turn to DH at all. Don't feel like I can talk to anyone IRL. Just so sucks as took as a year TTC to end in MMC and should have bloomin known it was too good to be true that I got lucky straight away. I know I am being so selfish, I have one lovely DS already. Just never thought we should have more than 2.5 year gap between our kids and always saw myself having at least 3.

All you can do is keep temping tigsyboo it's the annoying thing about charting. It isn't until a few days later (even a couple weeks) that things become clear in terms of temp patterns. It is suspect that the rise happened after a lay in. But also the shift does look good and typical of Ov.

Rose68 · 13/01/2019 11:16

@Buggles1 you can get some blood tests done on the NHS, I can’t remember if you are living abroad? If you are in the UK you can get CD2 FSH test and also cycle CD21 progesterone test on the NHS. Also DH can get SA done. xxx

Rose68 · 13/01/2019 11:23

@Twittle, you are not being selfish, it is just totally shit. You will have more children, but it might be slightly different to how you planned. Maybe when DS is sleeping properly DH might feel a bit different. Maybe even when it comes to DTD DH might not realise / not care. xxx

tigsyboo · 13/01/2019 11:38

@TwittleBee it's not selfish
I go back to my buying a house analogy (I may trade mark it!) once the ball is rolling your mind changes and shifts into a new way of thinking, you can't reverse it!
It's like booking holiday, then it getting cancelled.... no one say 'ah well, who needed a week on a beach anyway??' You are gutted because that's where you head is at.
I hope no one thinks I'm trivialising being PG by the way, i know it's nothing like a beach holiday... it's just the only way I can explain why it's so 'there' in my mind now when it was just floating around loitering before. Xx

Buggles1 · 13/01/2019 12:22

That’s really helpful to know Rose68. I’ll def look into it. Frustrating they don’t readily offer any of these tests up though. Thank you x

ratherbeshowjumping · 13/01/2019 15:38

How are you feeling @TwittleBee? X

edidxb · 13/01/2019 17:21

Hey. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I got to work at 7am and left at 8.30pm and had some toast for dinner so was pretty rubbish!! Och well, I'll try and get some nice days planned soon.

@Twittlebee - hope you are OK - best thing is the 48 hour HCG test to know for sure. I do think a break of a month or so will help your DH loads.

Thanks for all the comments on my age/children etc - it's nice to feel so supported.

Right, off for a large glass of wine now!

Rose68 · 13/01/2019 18:26

AF has arrived here Sad

edidxb · 13/01/2019 18:34

Argghhh sorry @rose68 that's rubbish. But like I tried to think. In some ways a good thing. And now you are back on the acupuncture. Hope it's not too painful x

ProseccoBee · 13/01/2019 18:53

Happy Birthday @edidxb, sorry you've not had the best one! definitely do plan something lovely for yourself for a later date! In regards to feeling like time is running out and that you havn't got a single child of your own, I hear you! I just want one! I feel like everyone I know in real life has a baby or is pregnant.

sorry @rose that Af has arrived!

and hope your doing ok @twittle, everything about this all sucks!

@ratherbe fingers crossed your symptoms are leaning towards a BFP!

hope everyone else is doing good! I've had a nice weekend of chilling. Dh went to the football and then went out with his friends for a few drinks last night, so I had the house to myself. It was actually really lovely just got tidied at a very leisurely pace and then read a book and binged watch "You" on Netflix. I then finally go round to watching "Call The Midwife" Christmas special an cried my eyes out but in a good way. This morning Dh was feeling slightly fragile so managed a lovely long lie in, we did a big shop and then went for lunch at the farm shop tea rooms and then a lovely long walk around the Country park. Sometimes its the simple things isn't it!

Kinsters · 14/01/2019 00:43

The roller-coaster that is my luteal phase continues... I swear this cycle has been the most confusing. With the temp drop and spotting yesterday I assumed I must be 10dpo and AF would start but it didn't and now my temp is up again so who knows.

I've had a 14 day luteal phase before so I'm not getting my hopes up too much as for me luteal phase spotting has always preceded AF. The one time I didn't get it was when I was pregnant.

Twittle it's not selfish to be upset about what happened. I agree with the others, try taking a month not mentioning it to your DH and see what he does when you're next ovulating. My DH would always say "hmm maybe it's not the right time" after I'd ovulated but I never mentioned it and he'd happily resume bd'ing when I was next ovulating. Unless your DH would see this as a deception/betrayal?

Rose sorry about AF Wine

Prosecco that sounds like a lovely day!

Kinsters · 14/01/2019 05:00

More spotting/bleeding now so I guess that's me back at CD1 again.

edidxb · 14/01/2019 05:33

arrgghh, sorry @kinsters that's rubbish.
I know the feeling as I really wanted to get pregnant straight away and you read so much stuff that says it's the best time. And you time things right, and still.

I tried to console myself with the fact that I needed AF over and done with so I could move on. I am on CD9 now and I am hoping my cycle will be a bit more normal this month. Nothing happening yet but that's OK as my DH is going away for work for the next few days! I don't want to miss the opening.....

@Proseccobee - that sounds like the nicest day ever!

Kinsters · 14/01/2019 05:40

It's so annoying edidxb I just feel like why's it so hard, we should just have sex and make a baby.

Does your DH go away quite a lot? Mine travels for a few days most weeks although so far we've only had trouble catching one o. Next one should be in a couple of weekends which would be good timing.

ratherbeshowjumping · 14/01/2019 07:22

Ah I'm sorry @Kinsters that's rubbish 😕 I think the first cycle pre AF is renowned to be all over the shop. Xx

Sounds like a lovely weekend @ProseccoBee glad you had a good one.

Wanted to do a test this morning with FMU but woke up so bursting for a wee that I completely forgot to do it 😫

Frazzlerock · 14/01/2019 07:25

Morning all.

As fucking expected, AF has arrived this morning.
My first AF since we lost the baby so I probably shouldn’t moan, despite having had more sperm inside me this cycle than Mrs “I’m more fertile than the lot of you and I’m on the telly showing off” Radford has had in her lifetime 🙄
I can’t pretend I’m not disappointed. Once again my body gives me the usual preg symptoms which turn out to be bollocks.

At least now I know what my LP is and, with any luck, my body is just taking its time to find the most perfect egg after MC

So I am back in the ‘Safe Zone’ which means I started my workout DVD this morning at 5am, then will get back to running again until my next ovulation.
(I know exercise is good for fertility but after three MCs I refuse to risk anything after ov).
Because exercised, I ran out of time and rushed out the door to get to a semi decent spot near the station and had to do my make-up in the car once parked up. But it was dark and I only had the car overhead light, so I probably look like a clown.
Also I’m playing period jeopardy as I totally forgot to put a pad on as well as a tampon. So it will be carnage by the time I get to the office. GREAT!

Another "Fuck today" I think.

I’m on the train into London now but I promise I will catch up properly when I get to the office. I just needed another Me Me Me Moan

.

Oh one good thing. I learnt how to use my sewing machine at a workshop yesterday (a local friend runs these classes) and I made a gorgeous cushion!

And the bit around the outside of a cushion is called a flange. I could help but snigger every time my friend said FLANGE
😂😂
