Hi ladies,

I suffered a silent miscarriage end of October and was just looking to start a thread for ladies in a similar position to me, who are trying to conceive at the moment. Would be lovely to have some support and guidance.

xx

@Em39ma that is most odd. I'd be confused too. They say you can't get a false positive, but that result is a bit of both 😐 let us know what happens!

@Dianebz1

Im going to give them a ring at lunch today and see what they say. 111 said a positive is a positive x

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 10:55

@Em39ma

Let me know what clear blue say.

I have had a positive from clear blue and negative everyone else.

Ive read la ot about clear blue being unreliable and also been told a false positive isn't possible fingers crossed for you x

Em39ma · 16/01/2019 11:12

I got an email back asking me to call them.
Just called they area bit confused to, but have said it will be a faulty test and as I’m a week late, That my hcg is probably to high for it to register and to see my doctor.

pandaobsessed · 16/01/2019 11:12

@chocolatecake08 @Em39ma I know Clear Blue were in the news recently for giving women false positives (even though this isn't meant to be possible). Although think they got rid of the dodgy batches. Best to double check ladies.

@pandaobesses
I didn’t see that, might do a bit of googling.

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 13:13

@pandaobsessed that's interesting I'm wondering if my test was faulty

Tryingforkittens · 16/01/2019 13:16

@Em39ma how can it be too high to register?! Sounds like a cop out response to me. If it was too high then you would surely have a clear positive result

Dianebz1 · 16/01/2019 13:24

@chocolatecake08 couldn't resist and took another 🤦🏻‍♀️ faint again but even fainter this time (I had to hold it up to the light) so not holding on to much hope 😟 Iv rang my GP and they are getting my doctor to call me back! I feel like everything is just slipping away with every test I take! I'm going to tell him I still think Iv got an infection x

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 13:26

@Dianebz1

Ah never, maybe because it wasnt FMU? Praying for you❤️

Dianebz1 · 16/01/2019 13:28

@Em39ma I'm sure Iv read that somewhere but I'm sure it said that some tests don't read a positive result after 8 weeks pregnant! Not sure if any truth is in it but I'm sure Iv read it in a form somewhere! It's very strange!!

Dianebz1 · 16/01/2019 13:31

@chocolatecake08 thank you ❤️ i last done a pee at 11 in collage then I took the test about 12:30 when I got home! I stopped of at boots on the way home! I wish my GP would hurry and phone me back.

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 13:34

Can you not go for an early scan?
@Dianebz1

Dianebz1 · 16/01/2019 14:09

I'd probably be to early to detect anything but maybe he could take bloods?!

@chocolatecake08

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 14:12

@Dianebz1 yes try get bloods x

Em39ma · 16/01/2019 14:27

If the hcg is really high, it’s to strong for the tests.
Either means can be further along than thought or expecting multiples?!!
Or they are just negative and there’s something else going on.
On another site, they say most test don’t register of 5 weeks.

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 15:01

@Em39ma

I have got a first response test. Do you think i should do it now or wait till tomorrow for my FMU

Dianebz1 · 16/01/2019 15:01

@Em39ma @chocolatecake08 just spoke to my doctor, they think it's probably another early MC ..she said if i any worries just to go straight to the hospital but Iv to wait another few days to see if nature takes its course. I was starting to think the same, maybe I'm further on?! I said that to my partner last night (he's a twin) and my dad has twin brothers so it runs on both sides! I'm sure November was a proper period tho, AF came early and lasted 3 days

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 15:14

@Dianebz1 oh no, hoping all is ok for you.

Keep positive❤️

Dianebz1 · 16/01/2019 15:48

@chocolatecake08 ❤️

I'm used to it now 😔 she wants to refer me to the hospital to look for any underlying problems so I guess that's a plus. I know I need anti D injections but that usually comes later on in pregnancy as Iv got rhesus negative blood. She mentioned sending me to a gynaecologist, I was supposed to go last year cause I had been trying for 2/3 year with no luck but the week before my appointment I found out as was pregnant. I was getting a dye put through my tubes. I'm 38 this year so hoping it all happens sooner rather than later, my body is getting so tired.

Em39ma · 16/01/2019 16:26

@dianebz1
So sorry it’s not looking good. But your doctor seems to be good and trying to get everything you need in place.
I’m 40 in 15 days,so like you want everything sorted sooner rather than later
@chocolatecake
I would wait for FMU, but with my last pregnancy I got my BFP at 2pm in the afternoon

ale2992 · 16/01/2019 16:45

Ok now I'm confused according to my test today I'm ovulating again? But according to the one on Sunday that I took I was ovulating then also? Today's line was darker than Sundays but Sundays was still much darker than the test line.

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 16:55

@Em39ma

My last positive was at 4pm but I'm going to try wait until the morning.

I might get in contact with clear blue because I've read alot about false negatives from them..

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 16:56

@Em39ma *false positives sorry x

chocolatecake08 · 16/01/2019 17:03

@Dianebz1

Hoping for the best outcome for you, hopefully going to the hospital for tests will shed some lite for you.
