TTC after Miscarriage

Hi ladies,

I suffered a silent miscarriage end of October and was just looking to start a thread for ladies in a similar position to me, who are trying to conceive at the moment. Would be lovely to have some support and guidance.

I was still showing HCG at the beginning of December, my miscarriage was around the 20th of October.
So it could be from your miscarriage.

I’m still getting BFN, through have just read and interesting article.
That the info on the HPT is very accurate.
Only around 5% get a positive before AF and about 50% will get one just after a missed AF.
Most accurate 2 weeks after AF should of appeared.

Ive had a period between miscarriage and now that means the positive can't be from the miscarriage right? I saw somewhere that to have a period again the hcg level need to be at 0 xx

Well I've got my first negative pregnancy test today post miscarriage so it feels like it's finally over for me now.
I am also ovulating already 6 days post MVA so very quickly

@chocolatecake08 @ale2992 i had negative tests straight after my MC in October, I also had AF in late Nov then again in the middle of dec

Hoping my next period will be the last for a while if all goes to plan but who knows?

@ale2992 sometimes it just takes time to regulate itself again, all the best of luck ..keep positive although its very hard xx

I got an infection after the MC and went back and they did a pregnancy test which was still showing as positive but that was only a few days after the surgery. Is there much point going to the doctors? X

@chocolatecake08 yeah I would go back, I'm thinking of doing the same ..I also had an infection! They put me on antibiotics for 3 days but I'm running to the toilet constantly so it's making me wonder if it didn't clear up properly x

How crazy I'm in the same boat toilet wise!

I used to be able to hold it for a while if i need the toilet but after the MC have to go as soon as i need a wee x

How many weeks were you when you had your MC in October if you dont mind me asking?

Same here, i do however feel really dizzy and sick so i hope im not coming down with anything. Just before AF was due i had the worst boob pain ever to the point i was crying to my DP so im still expecting AF to visit cause of that but hopefully not 🤞🏼

@chocolatecake08 I was only 5 weeks the last time! Iv had them at all different stages for 5 weeks to 14 weeks, some have been natural and others Iv needed a d&c.

I was really sick and dizzy the last time, I don't have it this time tho! This is my 10th time being pregnant and everyone was different! Iv also go 2DS ages 17 and 15 x

So sorry for your losses☹️

Had stopped bleeding 4 days after my miscarriage, was really good for about 10 days. Then I started spotting, had the worse AF pains ever, I get really bad ones and take medication for that, but this was worse than I have ever had before. I was admitted back to hospital at 12am , by then I was having a proper AF and my level was still 100. That lasted 2 weeks, I when I finally stopped bleeding my levels where still 30. At my last blood test on the 6th December my level of hcg was still 12.
I got my first negative on the 9th December and proper AF on the 12th, now 7 days late!!
Sorry so long, just gives you an idea that it is different for everyone.

@Em39ma i had my first proper period 5th of December and was ovulating in January I'm assuming that the Levels must have gone back down to 0 for that?

God 16 weeks 😟 that must have been hard! I'm still uncertain, I'm going to pick more tests up today. Might decide on how much i wee over the day lol! If not it will be 1st thing tomorrow morning x

Thats my plan I'm going to test tomorrow with the first response. Im starting to wonder if its from the previous pregnancy although i have had a period since so not sure what to think.

You should maybe ring the midwife for advice? They might be able to help you! I'd imagine the hormone would be away, Iv never experienced having the hcg still in my body 3 months later x

I’ve had some cramping, nearly all day for the days I’ve been late, keep thinking I’ve started AF, but nothing.
The doctors calling tomorrow so will see what he has to say.
I ovulated in December according to my clear blue test kit, and in November. So I’m just confused. To be honest the doctors at the hospital were too, I have never tested well.

Ok. Very confused now . Just did a test, it’s saying Not Pregnant 2-3weeks???
Anyone else ever got that!!!

@Em39ma never had that! Have you got another test to test with?

I’m assuming it’s just a bad test, but not sure which part to believe.
The fact I’m 7 days late would be right for 2-3weeks, but all the other tests I’ve take were negative

Just sent clear blue an email, see what they say 🤷🏼‍♀️
