Hi ladies,

I suffered a silent miscarriage end of October and was just looking to start a thread for ladies in a similar position to me, who are trying to conceive at the moment. Would be lovely to have some support and guidance.

xx

@pandaobsessed thank you for your message. So sorry to hear you have had the same thing, I have also been told that 2 miscarriages in a row isn't that uncommon. It definitely doesn't make it any easier though! I am sending you really positive wishes for this time around.
@chocolatecake08 @BeingATwatItsABingThing thank you also for your support. I'm still spotting, it has been on and off since Sunday and had a couple of small clots (sorry tmi). Feels like the worst is happening but have a scan on Friday so should know more then I hope. Will report back on Friday. Xx

pandaobsessed · 05/03/2019 21:26

Thank you @chocolatecake08 💕😘

And thank you also @Gpmg84 ❤️ I hope the scan has good news for you on Friday. I never knew how worrying a pregnancy could be until I had a miscarriage. Don't think it will ever be stress-free now. I'm lucky to have a little boy already though, who is now 16 months.

@Gpmg84 I hope all goes ok on Friday. Such a scary thing for you. For some bleeding can be a normal thing in pregnancy but for those of us who have had an MC when we have any form of spotting or bleeding we expect the worst. It's a coping mechanic I suppose but it is still very tough I hope in your case that there is nothing to worry about. If they can't scan you they should be able to check your HCG levels over a 48 hour period. Fingers and toes crossed for you.

Em39ma · 06/03/2019 07:20

So sorry @pandaobessed.
I think we all expect the worse, my scans next Tuesday. But have just realised I’m in the same week I lost last time around from finding out I was pregnant.
Brain goes into overtime.

Em39ma · 06/03/2019 07:33

Well my overthinking has just been made worse.
Just gone to the bathroom and I’m spotting. As a few have said we don’t want to think the worse, but all I know.

Em39ma · 06/03/2019 11:55

Had a scan, had a small bleed. Baby all good seen heart beat.
They confirmed my original dates were right so I’m 7 weeks 3 days.

Luxembourgmama · 06/03/2019 13:20

@Em39ma glad the scan went well you must be relieved. Mine is tomorrow afternoon.

Em39ma · 06/03/2019 17:32

Good luck for tomorrow @Luxembourgmama.
If I had, had to wait for my actual scan next week, I think I would of be in a right state.

Gpmg84 · 06/03/2019 18:56

Thank you everyone. Bleeding has been spotting / bleeding pretty much non stop since Sunday with clots too. Sadly I don't think this can be a good outcome, so hope I'm wrong!
I'll let you know tomorrow, scan is at 10am xx

Luxembourgmama · 07/03/2019 10:48

@Gpmg84 I hope you get good news

Gpmg84 · 07/03/2019 13:35

Sadly it wasn't good news. Scan showed empty sac that seems to be breaking down. So a miscarriage is imminent. They took my HCG levels etc. Also I'm meant to be going on holiday with my husband and all family tomorrow but the docs don't want me to fly so looks like I'll be staying here waiting for the inevitable.
Am so sad and angry that this is happening for the second time. Wish i knew why or just had some answers.
Don't know if we tried again too soon after last miscarriage or if there's something else wrong - urgh my head is spinning! Xxx

Luxembourgmama · 07/03/2019 19:31

I'm so sorry to hear that particularly that you'll miss your holiday can they examine the foetus for clues? It's definitely not trying to soon it's just cruel luck.

Gpmg84 · 07/03/2019 21:40

@Luxembourgmama thanks for your message. No they will only do further testing after 3 miscarriages in a row here... this was my second. I've decided to go away with my family anyway as I think the break with do me good. I just hope that when the miscarriage does come it's not too painful. My last miscarriage was treated surgically with d&c so not sure what to expect really. I think being away with loving family is probably better than home alone though. So grateful for this thread - somewhere to speak to others that truly get this! Xx

Gpmg84 · 07/03/2019 21:43

@Luxembourgmama did you have a scan today too? Hope it all went well! X

chocolatecake08 · 08/03/2019 06:58

@Gpmg84

So so sorry, have a lovely time away with your family ❤️❤️

Luxembourgmama · 08/03/2019 08:03

I did. Mine went well thankfully I was really relieved. I have another set for March 28th at 10 weeks. I had a MMC before they're so horrible. I hope you've support.

pandaobsessed · 08/03/2019 22:28

@Em39ma thank you for your message. Try not to think about things too much. Try and relax. Easier said than done I know. I hope the scan on Tuesday goes well for you!

@Gpmg84 I'm so sorry to hear this 😥 you are going through exactly the same thing as me, within a few weeks of me as well. Suffering a second miscarriage straight after each other is soul destroying. But you're definitely doing the best thing by being with family. When I had the MMC and surgical management in Nov, I was on holiday in Wales and had to travel back and for my hospital. If you need to talk, we are all here for you. I saw doc a few weeks ago and he said that it can't ever be too soon to try for another baby after a miscarriage. He said that unfortunately two miscarriages in a row are really quite common. I've got a gynaecologist apt. in June to follow up why they're happening. But like you said, it's usually three miscarriage that they then start thinking there's something wrong. Thinking of you xxx

@pandaobessed.
I had my scan this week early.
I woke up on Wednesday bleeding, baby is ok, saw the heartbeat and is now 7 weeks 6 days today.
They could see a small bleed, but nothing hopefully to worry about.
Which as we all know is easier said than done.
But have allowed myself to get a bit more excited, last time we never got to see anything, as they believe it was probably in the tube.

NightDreaming · 09/03/2019 07:54

Morning all. I was a bit of a lurker on this thread at the beginning. Reading your comments helped get me through my first miscarriage. Have come on to ask advice really. I posted this in the miscarriage section yesterday but had no response as yet, can any of you help...

“Hello. Right. This is my first miscarriage. Just looking to know if this is within the range of normal. Whatever normal may be....

Started miscarrying at 11wks. It was missed miscarriage, baby stopped growing at 6 wks. Had a few weeks of bleeding. Then a break for 2 weeks.

Then I started bleeding again. Which I think was first period. Started 3 weeks ago. Was pretty normal period like period. Until day 8, when it just didn’t properly stop. I’m still very mildly bleeding, which switches to just the brown stuff, then back to blood. Plus I have now started ovulating. Is a 3 week period pretty standard? Particularly when you are ovulating at the same time?”

Any I guess I’d like to also know if we could try to conceive on this ovulation. Or should I wait due to still bleeding? Thanks x

Ladybug84 · 09/03/2019 14:14

@NightDreaming
Sorry you had to go through this.
I'm not sure if having a 3 week period is normal or not. Was it a natural miscarriage? If yes, did they scan you to see if you had pass everything? In my case, i didn't stop spotting since naturally passing the sac, but I had retained products and 5weeks later the bleeding increased due to infection so I was put in antibiotics and ended up having a D&C. This might not be your case, if you feel good, no fever etc... but I'd say check with your doctor before trying to make sure everything is OK. Take care 🌷xx

NightDreaming · 09/03/2019 21:31

I didn’t have a scan after miscarriage stopped, so maybe not everything cleared. But there was a couple of weeks with no bleeding. Also no fever and generally feel fine. Will hold off from going to GP, and won’t try to conceive this cycle. Fingers cross next month is more normal. Thanks for your reply Ladybug

Em39ma · 11/03/2019 07:20

Nightdreaming
I did what you have done.
Bleed for a week when I miscarried, but 3 weeks later thinking it was my first period started again.
I bleed for over 3 weeks, abandoned even ended up in A&E because the pain was really bad.
It turned out mine as an eptopic, and was hiding and I managed to pass it myself.
If you are concerned I would talk to your Epau, I had to get my levels checked every few days and they kept a close eye on my.
I ended up at the Epau for over 8 weeks.

Em39ma · 11/03/2019 07:21

Sorry not sure why it put abandoned

Catconfusion · 11/03/2019 09:19

Hi all, I'd like to join in if I can. I'm 39 and fell pregnant without really trying in December on my honeymoon. Was shocked as diagnosed with polycystic ovaries in my early 30s so thought we'd need to try for longer. Unfortunately it ended in MMC at 10 weeks, baby 6/7 weeks. Scan showed I no longer have polycystic ovaries so that's a plus. I had ERPC on 4th Feb. Obviously devastated. Ive had no period yet though through temping managed to predict ovulation and timed dtd really well. I use Ovusense which helped. I'm now 8 dpo and symptom spotting like crazy. Tbh I feel pregnant which is torturous as I know I might not be. Great to see such good news on here. I'm so sorry to those of you who are still waiting for that sticky bean. Have a good day! X

pandaobsessed · 11/03/2019 09:27

@Em39ma aww bless you. I'm glad everything seems to be ok from the scan. I bet it's lovely to see baby as you said you didn't previously. Relax (better said than done) and enjoy. Hope it all goes well for you 😊 xx

@NightDreaming sorry to hear you've also suffered a miscarriage. I've heard a lot of different stories regarding periods following a miscarriage. Mine went back to normal after both miscarriages, however I've heard of other ladies having weeks of bleeding etc. I'd go to the docs or your local EPAU just to double check xx

@Catconfusion welcome to the thread and sorry to hear you've recently had a miscarriage. Fingers crossed it's your lucky month 💕 this is my first month of trying since having a second miscarriage xx
