Hi ladies,

I suffered a silent miscarriage end of October and was just looking to start a thread for ladies in a similar position to me, who are trying to conceive at the moment. Would be lovely to have some support and guidance.

xx

@chocolatecake08

Take it u can't see my line lol. I see it very clearly but it is faint mayb harder to see in picture but to me it look quite similar to ur top one.. I'm going to wait til Monday as il b around 14dpo then and it should b a lot darker if all was good.. just the cramps and headaches making me panic from last months mc just got a felling it's gonna go the same way x

lnfb · 19/01/2019 13:33

Hey everyone, sorry just catching up as I've had a really busy week. @chocolatecake08 I'm glad that the lady who did your ultrasound seems to think all is well, sending you lots of positive vibes and hoping that now the bleeding is easing off you can breathe a sigh of relief.

@xpudsx I can maybe see a tiny tiny squinter but 12dpo is really early, maybe test again in a few days and it should be clearer.

These were my tests about 16dpo for this pregnancy if they help at all. Both show clear positives I think xx

Thank you girls I am going to hold off for a few days il come bk and let use no xx

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 13:38

@Xpudzx

I can see it ever so slightly, but unsure if its an evap cause it is abit early, defo wait a few days though and use a pink dye test. I had positives and negatives with this pregnancy they did say any positives a positive. My tests still aren't the darkest.

@lnfb thankyou, i have reassurance that all is fine now🤞🏼whats your opinion on private hospitals instead of nhs?

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 13:50

I am no way slatting the nhs what they do is amazing, but after my miscarriages i am too worried to wait a week to be seen etc when i was bleeding and in pain, i feel 20x better after the private scan and felt it was more 1:1 and tailored to me.

I have the money to have my pregnancy in a private hospital, does that seem to snobby?? Im worried about peoples opinions on it, i work really hard to earn my money and was in no way brought up with money.

ale2992 · 19/01/2019 14:07

@chocolatecake08 if you can't afford it go for it as you say it may be more tailored to you x

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 14:08

@ale2992

I think thats the road i want to go down but too worried about peoples opinions x

lnfb · 19/01/2019 14:19

@xpudsx Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different in terms of the threshold for hcg in early pregnancy to be high enough for a test to pick it up. I know the waiting is torture but as I say waiting a good few more days will give you more definitive answers.

@chocolatecake08 I am so happy for you

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 14:47

@lnfb

The same thing happened to me and i ended up with an infection! I was refused a scan even when i was showing more than obvious symptoms of infection.

The scan went well and all seems fine so fingers crossed🤞🏼🤞🏼i think I definitely want to go private.

I hope your career goes well! Sorry for your loss it's awful ❤️

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 14:49

@lnfb sorry didnt realise you were pregnant, how many weeks are you? I hope all is well xx

lnfb · 19/01/2019 14:59

@chocolatecake08 I can imagine how much of a scary time that was for you, I felt awful when I had the signs of infection but was just stuck on a whack of antibiotics after being examined, then told I could have no follow up!

I'm about 5-6 weeks so very early days. Been feeling more relaxed about things over the last couple of days but holding out to contact midwife and to tell people (only partner and three other very close friend/family know this time). I think it's trying to protect myself in a way but just trying to be positive and look after myself. I love exercising but not been doing much as I'm paranoid but think I will try and go for a run or something over the next few days. I just can't have my life stop! There's a lot of conflicting opinion on it though but logically I know it won't hurt my pregnancy. Unfortunately a few people said unhelpful things after the mc and how my exercise may have affected it so I think that's just sticking in my head xx

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 15:03

@lnfb

My sister did, zumba, crossfit, swimming, and circuit training all away up until she was 32 weeks and she has a very healthy baby and had a healthy pregnancy, dont worry about what others think off it if the midwife said your fine then your fine,
Im 7 weeks so not too far off, i miscarried at 16 weeks though last time so dont think ill settle until im past that. Xx

lnfb · 19/01/2019 15:07

@chocolatecake08 I think that's totally natural to feel you need to get past that point and I was the same. I was just 5 weeks or so last time so maybe that's why I feel a little less uneasy. Have you seen your midwife yet? That's reassuring thank you, I may just wait until I see the midwife before I do too much but might try and do a couple of short runs to keep my sanity intact. I feel huge right now! xx

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 15:09

@lnfb

I had a midwife appointment last week due to the previous miscarriage, have you not saw one yet or made an appointment?? I know here in Newcastle at my doctors i had to call to let them know i was pregnant and they got me in contact with a midwife at my hospital where they arranged an appointment i dont know if thats different for where you are xxx

lnfb · 19/01/2019 15:14

@chocolatecake08 I need to phone the booking line and will get an appointment, I just haven't phoned yet but will this week or next I think. I know it's weird but just waiting a bit to ensure all continues well xx

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 15:17

@lnfb

Ah i preferred to be seen quick for reassurance.

Was it a natural miscarriage you had or was it a missed miscarriage ? Xx

20nikki10 · 19/01/2019 15:42

Hi just wondering if anyone got a positive test 9 days before missed period getting all these early symptoms that I had with my other child apart from sore boobs and going out my mind wanting to know but don't know if it's to early to test

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 15:48

@20nikki10

Theres no harm in taking one, but i would say it is abit early xx

Em39ma · 19/01/2019 16:01

@chocolatecake08
That’s a good sign, I would keep the appointment for Friday.
Are you feeling a bit better about it.

chocolatecake08 · 19/01/2019 16:04

@Em39ma yeah feeling much better, im going to go private x
