Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

@kinsella82... be right back - wheres my husband??? 😅 seriously though is now like THE best time?
Its lovely being on here isnt it being able to just vent all the crazy thoughts in our heads and getting lots of great insight, its really helped me and im sure will continue to do so! Have u thought about doing a HPT? You symptoms sound very interesting xx

@beddie11 from what I know it’s a sign that you’re either very close to ovulating or ovulating right now. It could be a sign that it’s one or two days away so if I was you I’d go for it tonight and as much as possible over the next few days, even every second day! Good luck!!
I have a test there but I’m gonna try hold off for a couple more days. If I was right about ovulating around the 13/14th of jan then I should probably wait another few days. It’s nerve wrecking because it’s on my mind all the time but at the same time I’m trying to dismiss my thoughts because I don’t want to get my hopes up. But sure if it is AF on the way then at least I’ll be back on track properly with being able to track my cycle!

Hi all!

Sorry first off, for gate crashing your post!
Been reading through, as we are planning on TTC after the summer.
Currently on Gedarel.. But have been on a combo of various pills for the last 12 years...

Was going to stay on the pill until the summer, but now im not so sure! Perhaps I should come off it earlier, and get to know my cycles?

Any thoughts?

Funny how as a teenager, you go on the pill without much thought... However now, we all start actually realising what we've been putting our bodies through, and potentially masking various symptoms. X

@dullblue.. i suppose it depends if you would use another form of contraception in the meantime or if your happy to just see how it goes. I was on the pill for 10plus years and hadnt long since started with periods before i went on it sooo my body has no clue what to do now lol x

Morning 😊 hope you all had a nice weekend!

So.... I didn’t have any more bleeding after my tiny bit of blood on Friday morning so it looks like it might have been implantation....? I’m trying not to get my hopes up but I also had cramping/lower back pain like period may be coming, but no bleeding appeared at all! If no AF comes today I will test tomorrow morning... watch this space!

In other news, I had a bad upset stomach last night and didn’t get much sleep so feel pretty rubbish this morning ☹️ Don’t know if this was a early pregnancy thing or just the baked beans I hadfor dinner! 🤣

I also kept have anxiety dreams about how if I got pregnant now then the due date might clash with my cousins wedding this year (21 Oct) and I really wanted to be there.... I know this is all very irrational but that’s just how my brain works! Always the worse case scenario!

Any virtual hugs would be appreciated and thanks for listening to my ramblings! 😊

Quick question- has anyone else experienced a burning sensation when weeing after ovulation symptoms? I think i ovulated over the weekend and now today i feel a burning sensation when weeing, im not having the sudden urges to wee all the time like cystitis though. Anybody? X

Or even found that they started with UTIs after coming off the pill?ive not had one for years so the timing seems to suggest a connection to the pill/ovulating xx

@Beddie11 I had a UTI after ovulation last week, at the time I thought it was ovulation pain, turns out I needed an antibiotic!

@whatsthecraic91 exactly the same! Grrrr our bodies sure are full of surprises! So you say you ovulated last week, have u had any symptoms or signs of anything?x

@Beddie11 I reckon I ovulated around the 12th or 13th don’t for sure but had all the signs!! According to my Flo app my AF is due in 5 days time! I’m dreading it coming as I don’t remember what a period was like not being on the pill 😓. How long have you been off the pill? I took my last one on 24th Dec.

@whatsthecraic91 well u never know you may not have to find out what its like, u might be lucky 😍 i came off on the 17th of December. How have u tracked when AF is due? My app said not too put in my last period dates as it was only a 'withdrawal bleed' x

@Beddie11 I’m just using the Flo app and Ovia apps, they didn’t say to not put my withdrawal bleed in so according to it I’m due on Saturday!

I took two tests this morning and they were both negative!

So the bleeding must of been random spotting and maybe I imagined all the other symptoms?!? What a confusing time this is 😕

Oh well, back to waiting for my period to arrive and go from there!

Sorry to hear that pumpkins! I guess it's a watch and wait game now, you never know as you may have just tested a bit too soon. Perhaps wait until the end of the week and test again just in case if nothing happens by then!

Ahhh shucks, sorrt pumpkins.. like peaky says though it could be abit early maybe try again in a few days? @Whatsthecraic91 yeah your right my Flo app asked me to put mine in and I did, one of my other apps told me the withdrawal bleed doesnt count? So im not sure, does anyone know? According to my Flo app im late 4 days. But pretty sure I ovulated at the weekend sooo im confused! X
