Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

After waiting for 33 days of coming off pill my cycle has come back. So cross fingers in couple of weeks ovulation and DTD time!

Firstly I’d like to congratulate those of you with BFP and wish everyone else luck on their continued journeys. I’ve just read through this whole thread and I have to say it has helped me feel a little calmer about the painful waiting game that is TTC.
I came off the pill (cerelle) on the 26th May after being on for two years. My cycle has always been a consistent 28 Days and sure enough exactly 28 days later I had a bleed. This lasted five days and I’m sure it must be the withdrawal bleed as I had no other bleeding in this time. It was about as heavy and normal as my typical periods. I’ve been lucky enough to be gifted with an Ava bracelet and so from the first day of that withdrawlbleed/period I began to track my cycle. However, my predicted day of my next period has come and gone and I am now on day 37 of this cycle.
The Ava did predict an ovulation time frame but my period has not started to confirm this. I have taken two PT and both negative. This not knowing and waiting is undeniably the hardest thing at the moment and I didn’t even consider it would be like this. I’m only in the early stages of it all too, I appreciate others have been waiting much longer.
Apologies for the ramble, this thread really has been a godsend and it’s been great to read that some of the symptoms I’ve been feeling are normal and this delay for the next period is normal too. I’ve been pretty low this weekend after a BFN on Friday so I feel brighter and more positive going forward.

@DaniX91 AF due 3rd/4th Aug, I could test as early as now I suppose but I think I will wait as long as I can, no point in saying I will wait til AF is due but who am I kidding 🤣

I've had a read of the thread and lovely to hear some positive stories
I stopped taking my mini pill on 14th July, for the last maybe 5 days or so I've had horrible cramps on one side, it was so painful it kept waking me up one night.
I figured it was the build up to me getting my withdrawal bleed.
I was telling my friend that I was having that egg white discharge 2 days ago and she said it might be ovulation, so I took a chance and DH and I DTD last night and the day before. No egg white today but feeling a general "pressure" sort of pain across my lower tummy.
When I had my daughter 3.5 years ago, I'd come off the pill and got pregnant straight away after only DTD twice. All feels very different with the mini pill and I must admit I'm quite anxious already.

I'm 33, and I've been on the mini pill for 3 years now.

We've just got back from the scan, so happy and relieved to say we saw a little baby and a strong, rapid heartbeat ❤️.
The sonographer struggled to get a pic cos baby was apparently being awkward and getting into some strange positions but she managed to get this one. She wasn't sure which way up it is but can definitely see some little arms 😍 x

@DaniX91 wow!!! Thank you for the update I am so happy for you 😍 look at him/her!! That’s a great pic! I’m sure it was amazing seeing them and hearing the heartbeat!! Gives reassurance I’m sure!

I tested this morning and got a BFN 😐 not surprised I feel like it’s never going to happen! I know I tested early but I just know AF will come 😓

@whatsthecraic91 Thankyou ! We're just so relieved, we both ended up in tears❤️.
We didn't hear the heartbeat yet but we saw it flickering away like a torch being quickly turned on and off, it was amazing.
I came home and booked a private scan for 3 weeks today 🙈 I couldn't help myself!

Aww please don't feel like that, you've tested really early so it was probably always going to be bfn at this stage. Try to wait it out til AF is due. I thought AF was coming because of the cramps remember? Try to stay positive x

@whatsthecraic91 sorry to hear about your bfn! Its so disappointing every time isnt it. Ive just had one this evening. So im now 7months off the pill and still waiting for my 2nd period. Im so deflated tonight i really could just cry x

@Beddie11 it really is, I’m at the stage now where there is no tears shed I’m just like emotionless about it now!

It must be so disheartening not having regular periods I’ve been lucky that way, I took my last pill Christmas Eve and I never ever thought by this stage it would have happened by now! We spend so much of our lives trying not to get pregnant and when you want it it’s this hard! Then you hear of people getting pregnant on their first month or off a one night stand and your just like.......?

@Beddie11 I just read that back it’s quite depressing what I wrote there! It’s the truth tho!!

We just have to keep positive and support each other, especially if no one IRL knows our struggles! Baby dust to all xx

@whatsthecraic91 yeah i think it is harder that nobody in real life knows so i dont ever really talk about it! 3 of my good friends are currently trying for a baby aswell and i still havent told them i just dont want too. Theyve all come off the pill and had perfect periods its so frustrating, like why me? Why cant i just get a regular cycle back like everyone else! And i just know that chances are either 1 of them or 2 of them or even all of them will get pregnant before me and i really will be happy for them i will just be gutted for myself. Xx

@Beddie11 u just feel like u don't wanna tell anyone in real life cos then you'll start getting the questions every month, well that's why I didn't want to anyway! It's a good job we have these threads to voice what's on our mind and talk to people in the same position.
Do u not feel like u could tell even just one of your friends? It might help considering you're both in the same boat?
Aw thankyou 😊 I took my last pill on May 10th after being on it for about 12 years. I started using OPKs straight away so I knew that I was back to ovulating. I had my period and again used the OPK's then took a test 2 weeks after my positive one. So I was lucky for it to happen on cycle 2 of trying and I thank my lucky stars for that. I have all the hope in the world for everyone trying! X

@danix91 yeah i think thats what it is, because although i like to chat about it on here i dont want to have to talk about it regularly if you get me? So on here although it sounds awful i can avoid it if i dont feel like talking but irl its harder to do that. Wow you were so lucky! I was on the pill 12 years aswell so i wondered if that had anything to do with my lack of cycle since stopping it but obviously thats not how it works lol. Have i figured out your approximate due date yet? I love hearing other peoples sucess stories, they give me hope! Xxx

Yeah I'm due around the 15th of March, so exciting but so scary! X

@danix91 ooo march is a good month, because by the time christmas comes and goes it will come around to march sooo quickly! Hopefully your pregnancy will fly be, try and enjoy it though! Im gonna go back to the doctors soon to see If theres anything they can do to kick start my periods, because im pretty sure im not ovulating either. Xx

@Beddie11 yea we're quite happy with March! I think I'll start to enjoy it more once the 12 week scan is out the way, will maybe relax a bit more then.

Hi @Beddie11. It took me 45 days to get AF after coming off the pill! I’m now on cycle 2 and have no idea when to expect it so I’ve just been DTD regularly and not tracking anything. It’s impossible to know what’s going on so I share your frustration! Not knowing when AF is due means no idea of and when to test so think I’m just going to try and not do anything...wait and see but easier said than done! I’ve read not to start using OPKs until having two natural cycles ...
