Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

@whatsthecraic91 ohh thats good that things settled quickly for you it must be nice to be able to track things properly!
Yeah i went to the doctors when i got to the 3month mark without a period but then it came and i assumed id be back to normal after the first one so didnt pursue anything, not sure if i should return. Maybe if i get to August and ive not had another then I'll go back xx

@Beddie11, sorry to hear you’re still worrying for second AF. I am also frustrated by lack of AF since coming off the pill, I’m now on CD36 waiting for the first one but have a horrible feeling it’s going to take a long time as I was on the pill for a good 16 years. It would just be nice to be able to track cycles! I just wish I had come off the pill ages ago, I was never told about the possible delays when coming off ☹️

Hi ladies,
I was on microgynon for 2 years. I came off the pill in April this year and I got my withdrawal bleeding very soon afterwards which lasted a few days.
I then got my period 30th May which lasted 4 days. It’s been 36 days now and nothing. I just wanted some advise if this is normal? For the past week my boobs have been very sore, that’s the only symptom I’ve had so far.

Also I don’t know how I missed your post @PumpkinsMum18 but congrats! What great news and also quite nice to know as far as 8 weeks along! Not so long to wait 😊

Hi @FirstTime93, I think it is normal. I haven’t even had AF since coming off the pill on 1 June but having read through this thread some girls were waiting months for their cycles to start and even then they weren’t necessarily regular for a while. It’s annoying isn’t it as impossible to tell if ovulating or not!

Hope you are all well ladies. I’m just in need of some advice.

I think I may have ovulated on 1 July as there was an obvious change to CM to what I think could have been EWCM

In the last week I have headaches, extreme tiredness, back pain and twinges. Absolutely no soreness to breasts though and no nausea. As I have a weekend away with a hot tub and drinking I thought I better test today and it was BFN. I’ve realised however I used a normal test and not an early response one so I guess it wouldn’t even show at this stage even if I had fell pg. This afternoon though I started feeling really queasy and dizzy. This could be because my head is so muzzy but in the back of my mind is that little what if... I don’t know what to do. Presumably as the test today was BFN it would be too early to do any harm if i carry on the weekend as planned? And then see how I feel next week? I guess if my cycles were starting to regulate AF would be due next week.... Or do you think I should test again with an early response just to make sure? Just to recap I came off the pill at the beginning of June, had a withdrawal bleed two days later and nothing since!

I’m aware that I sound like a woman obsessed and I do apologise but I’m going a bit mad here and have no one to talk to about this as keeping ttc a secret.

@Sunshine8888 how long are your cycles usually? If you ovulated on 1st July would AF not be due tomorrow? I always thought AF came 14 days after ovulation

@whatsthecraic91 yes it would be due today if regular - nothing yet.

Hi all! Can i join in here too please :) I have recently came off the pill, couple of months ago. Started trying properly last month, used cb digital ovulation kit and got my peak on the 27th last month, AF was due 13th/14th i believe. No sign at the moment. I have done 3 tests but all negative. Not sure if I am testing too early and AF is just late. Any advice welcome x

@whatsthecraic91 no I haven’t and I don’t think I’m going to unless I’m getting really obvious signs. I feel like I was obsessing last week and a weekend away has made me feel a bit more relaxed. Just going to keep waiting for either AF or strong pg signs... and if nothing by September I’ll go to the doctors re lack of AF.

Random question but are itchy nipples a sign of AF coming? I’ve never had it before and it’s really unpleasant!

Hi @kmxoo94 I think I would wait a few days to see if AF comes and if not maybe retest then?

Feeling rough tbh constantly nauseous and dizzy. Was sick yesterday and today have a pounding headache dizzy nauseous 😭 and so tired 😭

Got my scan tonight though so excited!! 😁

@Sunshine8888 🤞🏻 for you you should be due af 14 days after ovulation. How long have you been off the pill? Have you been regular? When was your last period? You can get patches of fertile Cm throughout your cycle so for some it's not reliable as predicting ovulation

@Abi58 aww that doesn’t sound nice but very exciting news about your scan!!

Came off the pill on 1 June - had withdrawal bleed but haven’t had AF yet. It’s been about six weeks now but I know it can take some time to settle down. I haven’t had a proper period since I was 16 (some 15 years ago). Maybe the 1 July thing wasn’t ovulation then! Who knows. I don’t think I have any way of telling anything until AF arrives so I could be waiting a while

@Sunshine8888 I was on the pill for 12 years stopped kid mark he no withdrawal bleed (had spotting earlier in that pack as missed a few and stopped mid pack after that) 1st bleed was the first weekend in May then 28days after 🤞🏻 you won't have long to wait!

I've got a scan at 3.45 today cos I had one sided pains so been backwards and forwards to the hospital. I had blood tests on Friday and Sunday and the levels doubled so that's good and the pains have stopped so now I'm just looking forward to the scan!

@DaniX91 thank you ☺️ hoping it's just a phase for a few days 🙈 feel like I can't do anything was worried driving to work 😭

Aw sorry to hear you've been having pains but glad to hear your levels doubled and the pain has eased! I've been getting sharp twinges hoping it's just the stretching. How far are you today?

@Abi58 did you mean to say you stopped mid March? And were regular from May? It didn’t take too long for you to fall pg then. Were you tracking ovulation?

@Sunshine8888 yes I did sorry my typing was really bad 🙈
Got pregnant that first cycle, unfortunately was an early miscarriage but then caught the following month, so so lucky 💕

I tracked everything but only because when I stopped the pill I had no idea what my body was doing and it drove me mad, so I used cheap opks, temped and around the right time checked my Cm. We always dtd regularly so didn't change our habits it was more so I knew nothing was possible so I didn't get excited and then disappointed and spend loads on tests if I hadn't even ovulated.

@whatsthecraic91 @Abi58 just had the scan and everything is how it should be 😊 saw the gestinational sac and the yolk sac so all good, measuring 5wks 2days which is spot on based on ovulation date. Got another scan on 30th July to see baby!

So excited for the next scan now.
What time is yours? I'm sure everything will be good😊 how far along are u now? I was dreading the internal scan but it was actually fine, much better than the internal examination I had to have on Friday!
