Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

@leleophants its just a massive waiting game isnt it. Ive been off the pill for 5 weeks now and nooooothing. Thing is we can still ovulate without having a period or so i believe? And thats the baby maker lol xx

whatsthecraic91 · 24/01/2019 15:08

AF has arrived! So 1st cycle pill free was 26 days! Not too disappointed as I wasn’t expecting to conceive the 1st month but happy to know everything still works!

Beddie11 · 24/01/2019 15:51

@whatsthecraic91 ahh well thats good to know everything in good working order lol. Im a week infront of you and no af as yet! Not letting myself think about the possibility of being pregnant xx

Leleophants · 24/01/2019 16:09

Such a waiting game @Beddie1! I really want to start now to get the best chance possible, but DH is keen to wait a few months. I know it's not long and would be good to know my cycle, but I'm worried there will be problems so don't want to put it off! I'm 29 next month and have always wanted a big family.

Please can someone help me! Two weeks off my pill (cerazette) I have the worst stomach cramps it feels like I’m carrying a house brick in my womb that’s trying to come out!!! No bleeding whatsoever but I’m in agony! Pain killers arnt helping and I’m starting to feel very sick from the pain! Has anyone else experienced anything like this?? Any advice appreciated I’m getting worried something is wrong the heavy sensation I’m getting in my womb is something I have never experienced before xx

MichelleM30 · 24/01/2019 16:44

Oh I'd like to join in!

Been off the pill since November but not trying until around Xmas time. Decided to come off it earlier as last time cycles were a riot. Anything from 26 days to 44 days which was very frustrating! I was always symptom spotting convinced I was pregnant 😂🙄

This time my first cycle was 33 days and second cycle 30 days. I'm supposed to be ovulating over the next few days according to my app so🤞🏻Good luck to you all!

Hikari92 · 24/01/2019 18:29

Joining in as well.

I've been off the mini pill for 3 weeks now, have been on it for 12 years and had horrific periods before so wasn't looking forward to coming off it. Since being off though I've had very little in the way of symptoms. AF never turned up, I had one day where I was very nauseous but no problems since. Very surprised at that. Starting to drive me crazy as I'm looking out for every symptom possible that AF is on its way and because I'm not sure if I'm going to ovulate on time it's all a bit confusing.

Gem1188 · 25/01/2019 06:27

@riley1989 and @hikari92

I came off cerezette on Nov 30th I have had no AF or withdrawal bleed- that was 56 days ago.
I have had all sorts of symptoms, nausea, bloating, pains all over the place. I had back ache for 3 weeks non stop. Pains where it felt like AF, mood swings, really bad headaches , acne. You name it, I've had it accept for an actual withdrawal bleed or AF.
Been to see my nurse and all of this is normal.......
It is just a waiting game- which doesn't rely help.
Fingers crossed 😊🤞

@whatsthecraic91 thanks for replying, good to know you’ve had the same experience!

So I have some news in that I took a test this morning and it was a definite positive. The cliche that you can get pregnant you first month off the pill is true! I’m now in a whole new world of panic worrying that it won’t stick but it’s good news for all us straight off the pill girls :) x

Lucylondon32 · 25/01/2019 10:08

Congratulations @Birthday51 lovely news! Xx

Beddie11 · 25/01/2019 10:24

@birthday51 wow congratulations! You must be thrilled. Theres definitely hope for us all yet then! Did u say you only dtd once aswell? Xx

Birthday51 · 25/01/2019 10:28

Yes! DH was away with work for lots of Jan and we just did it once during the ewcm/crazy horny time! I am now freaking out it’s a false positive or something but hopefully all good! God knows what I’m going to say when he comes home from work later!!

Anyone else fresh off the pill!?
Beddie11 · 25/01/2019 11:02

@birthday51 wow thats a lovely looking positive! You must have beginners luck lol.. hopefully your going to set a trend for us! Have u had any symptoms that made you suspect?xx

Birthday51 · 25/01/2019 11:10

Yes, I hope so :) I started to feel really nauseous in the last couple of days and still do today. But not sure if it’s a coincidence or pregnancy related?

PumpkinsMum18 · 25/01/2019 12:23

@Birthday51 yay! 😄 Congratulations to you and your hubby!

thumper59 · 25/01/2019 12:42

@Birthday51 congratulations! How many DPO are you? Xx

Birthday51 · 25/01/2019 12:50

Hey @thumper59 Not tracking it yet, stopped microgynon 30 on 22nd December, dtd on 11th January after getting ewcm on 9/10/11
Jan. Got positive test this morning. So maybe 14 days or so post? I hope this doesn’t mean it’s a false positive but gonna test again in a couple of days to check xx

thumper59 · 25/01/2019 12:55

@Birthday51 that's no way a false positive! Rest assured! 😊

I got a BFN this morning on an IC at 10DPO so trying to find hope still 😂

Congratulations it's amazing news for you bet your so excited to tell your OH!xx

Birthday51 · 25/01/2019 13:02

@thumper59 I would definitely say you could hold out hope - took one last night and it was positive but very faint, did another this morning with first wee of the day and much clearer. But even if not bfp this month you will get your cycle back on track and be able to work out when best to have lots of fun dtd :)

Birthday51 · 25/01/2019 14:08

DH just got home and told him - he thinks pregnancy tests often give false positives so we should wait a few weeks and then test again! I don’t think this is the case, but will let you all know what happens! Xx

whatsthecraic91 · 25/01/2019 17:10

@Birthday51 lovely news!!! Delighted for you x

Birthday51 · 25/01/2019 17:21

Thank you all! I’ll let you know how it goes xx

LanieM87 · 25/01/2019 17:28

Hi everyone.
I was wondering if anyone has had any trouble pinpointing ovulation after coming off the pill?! This is the 2nd month now and I’ve yet to get my surge. I’m temping and using OPKs!

Gem1188 · 25/01/2019 18:41

@birthday51

Whoop whoop! This is fantastic- congratulations 😃

whatsthecraic91 · 25/01/2019 20:03

To anyone who has got the AF since stopping the pill - what was it like? I started on yesterday and it’s just brown blood? It’s not even enough for a pad, it’s just when I wipe. I have all the cramps etc I would normally get but hardly any flow! I’m quite worried about this as I read it can mean you’re low on estrogen.
