@PastaSauceHoarder forgot to say have you tried arrowroot biscuits for your sickness? My aunty recommended them when I was pregnant with ds only when I first found out about them I was over it and in my second trimester. Anyway they’re suppose to be really good for nausea.

Cocobana · 28/01/2019 13:58

Oh and with ds my sickness was quite bad, it would last all day, I would throw up but not excessively just while cleaning my teeth or sometimes on way to work or at work. The nausea was the killer for me. I hope you feel so much better soon, x

Cocobana · 28/01/2019 14:02

Exactly @Mfbroome I’ve never googled so much random stuff since ttc. I’ve literally found out things I never even knew! Ds has been a cheeky little monkey today, he woke up in middle of night because his dummy he’d lost dummy 🤦🏼‍♀️ Yes I’m one of those Mothers I always said I wouldn’t be! I’ve almost got him off it through the day but not having much luck with nighttime’s. Me and dh have agreed to let him have it until his teething is finished. His back bottom molars are so close to cutting.

Cocobana · 28/01/2019 14:02

because he’s lost his dummy* that should say
How are you little ones doing?

Cocobana · 28/01/2019 14:03

Mfbroome · 28/01/2019 15:38

Ahhh do t worry I was that mother aswell I swore I'd never give dummies but they were life savers for me!
My dd didn't really take to it past 3months but ds he was quite ill In hospital at 3 months old and that dummy was his comfort, It got us through! Ha sometimes u just have to let them have it. They are only little for a while anyway aren't they 🤗
Gotta love them waking in the night for tiny little things 🙈 bless him xxx
Yes mine are good ds still dry through the night! I'm so proud! And my dd is good she has been moved up in her reading at school this week so we are double proud of their achievements - even though ds still pretends he's a baby so he's demanding to wear a nappy again 😂

What day is AF die when r u testing again?

Mfbroome · 28/01/2019 15:38

Due

@Cocobana

Mfbroome · 28/01/2019 15:39

@PastaSauceHoarder thank you! Sorry for all the questions! ❤️

MummyBearBoo · 28/01/2019 16:04

She loves Skye from paw patrol she's got like 7 different Skye figures with different vehicles!! - I've done tidying now just ironing- I cleverly bought paper cups and plates so the damage wasn't that bad and I kept tidying up through the day!! We have a road mat thing which took the brunt of the tea and covered up much of the carpet thankfully - I used vanish for the bit that got on the carpet and it seems ok! My DD has 5 cousins and it's great when they're together although one of them kept claiming all her toys and doesn't really understand what share means he's 3 in A few months! She's got loads of money for her birthday too and she wants the lookout from Paw patrol!!
Oh @PastaSauceHoarder I hope you feel better soon - my second pregnancy was horrific I felt sick all the time and was sick loads in total contrast to my first - I had to just try and eat when I could which was 12-2pm! I basically survived on decaf black tea and a slice of toast the rest of the time!
@Cocobana - are you holding off testing til 2nd? I really hope we're both 3rd time lucky
@Mfbroome it all sounds good for you!! When is your AF due? By then the line should be much darker? Xxx

Cocobana · 28/01/2019 19:22

@Mfbroome it’s hard when they’re so little still like you say. As long as it’s well gone before nursery I’ll be fine with that! That’s amazing that your ds is still dry through the night and that your dd is going so well at school, you must be so proud of them both. Aww bless that’s so cute that you’re ds is wanting to be a baby still, I bet it makes you melt. My Ds has this thing when he wants something he looks at me and says baby and points at himself as of saying ‘I’m the baby’ will increase his chance of getting what he wants! I think I’ll start potty training ds when he’s about 2 and a half if he seems ready.

@MummyBearBoo good idea using the mat. It sounds like your ds has done very well for her birthday. Oh her little cousin not understanding sharing isn’t good; hopefully he’ll learn that in the coming year. We’re just missing Rocky for ds so will pick that one up next time. He also loves Elmo from Sesame Street so we’re thinking of getting him a tickle me Elmo for his birthday.
I’m trying to hold off testing until then but I’ll prob test earlier as I’m too impatient. How about you?

Cocobana · 28/01/2019 19:37

dd* my phone keeps changing it on auto

Scarletrose18 · 28/01/2019 21:30

Just catching up on your chats ladies (most of which im noticing are revolving around food 🤣) I had cake and custard earlier.... will start being good tomorrow 😇

Ds seems a bit better today thank you @coco . Yes thats exactly what I have been thinking about!! 🙂

Are you 9 dpo today? Any more gas flutters? 😁😁

@mfbroome So pleased your test is darker! I know its such a nerve wracking time, im sure even more for you as this is the earliest you have found out, the test getting darker is a good sign though.

@pasta morning sickness is horrible isnt it. Its wierd isnt its, the only relief you get is when your eating. I found crystalised ginger helped me as well, I nibbled on that throughout the day. Cant believe you are 7+2 already, I feel like its flew in!

Thats great you can get your scan booked. Have you told your parents of anyone else that you are pregnant yet? @pasta

@mummyb sounds like you have had a crazy time! Glad your carpet came up clean and paper plates are the best, less washing up 🙂
Your in your tww! Yay! Hopefully this is your month and I hope your tww goes in fast for you! 🙂

Told your parents or anyone else I meant @pastasaucehoarder

PastaSauceHoarder · 28/01/2019 23:14

I've told a few people @Scarletrose18 - I told my two best friends (one of them sadly suffered a MMC two years ago so she'd be really understanding if anything went wrong, plus they knew we were trying), and the two ladies I work with (again in case something went wrong and I needed to go to the EPU or something, plus they suspected after all the dashing off to the loo and they knew how much I really wanted another baby!).
Other than that my mum, my DHs mum and my SIL, because shes pregnant too and had loads of advice about the midwife care I was looking into.

I really want to tell the rest of our families, but not until I know everythings okay if that makes sense. Its killing my mum though, she keeps nearly letting it slip to my dad!

Awh thank you all for the morning sickness sympathy! 💛 So far it doesn't seem as bad as when I was pregnant with my DD, I was being sick everyday with her.

Also don't stress too much about dummies, @Cocobana - DD is currently snoozing away next to me with a dummy stuck in her mouth! She won't sleep without one. 🙄

Cocobana · 29/01/2019 00:02

@Scarletrose18 aww pleased you’re ds is feeling better. How are you? I’m 9dpo tomorrow. Did AF arrive? I reckon I’ll be joining you from Saturday.

@pastasaucehoarder Thanks, i didn’t when he was younger and it never bothered me until recently tbh. I think it’s with ds turning 2 very soon, hopefully we’ll be able to wean him off them before he’s 3 🤣 bless
Hope you feel better and not as nauseous, it’s good it’s not as bad as you’re lay pregnancy. It just goes to show that what they say about no two being the same is quite right.

Scarletrose18 · 29/01/2019 07:45

Thats nice that you have a few ladies to talk to about things if you need to @pasta Its tough when you feel bad and cant tell anyone why, I think having a few in work knowing is a really good thing as then if you need a break or are feeling bad then things are easier.
Aww your poor mum... wont be long now until she can spill the beans 🙂 Im sure after your scan you will feel better about everything. As horrible as morning sickness is, I also think its a good sign, it means you have high hormone levels so your little baby is growing fast! 💕

@coco Yes AF arrived. Ooh 9dpo, getting so close, was Saturday your test day? Why do you feel out? I hope after the unusual early symptoms that it means your bfp is coming 🙂

OP posts:
Cocobana · 29/01/2019 08:06

@Scarletrose18 how are you feeling? I think as much as I don’t want my period to arrive the not knowing is worse. Saturday for AF if I can wait. I think it’s easy to fixate on symptoms when it can just be so many other things. I don’t think there’s any way of telling until there’s HCG in your system as anything before will just be because of the progesterone after ovulation. I feel at this point I have no way of telling and if anything can just imagine af arriving on Saturday. I think the latter because most people have to try for abit longer before a bfp don’t they, I think the average is around 6 months or something!? I’m well prepared to ttc cycle 4. I’ve been telling dh what is meant to be is meant to be and coming to terms with it all. I have ds and if I’m not lucky enough to have another dc it’s not ideal but I’ll be okay.

Scarletrose18 · 29/01/2019 08:41

Yes I was reading that too. Dh was a bit dissapointed when I told him my test was negative but just said well theres always next month... I said to him about the emotional build up from it all its tough, opking, trying not to symptom spot, tww, then negative tests then waiting for AF, its all alot so it is harder for us ladies I think.... but I think we will both get a bfp soon and I have hope for you this month chick! Baby coco 😁 💜💗💜

Do you have any nice plans today? How is ds sleeping now?

OP posts:
Cocobana · 29/01/2019 09:04

@Scarletrose18 it’s hard isn’t it, I think dh will be disappointed as well. I’m quite open with my feelings and dh can be quite deep but lately even he has been getting a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. Everytime I pop to the loo then come back and speak he looks hopeful like it’s going to be an announcement. Exactly it is def so much tougher on us girls, I think all of it is because it’s our bodies and it’s just more emotional. I feel grateful that I didn’t have any of this last time around but at the same time I think if I do get a bfp eventually I’ll appreciate it more because a lot has gone into it if that makes sense.
It’s quite frosty here and cold so we’re not up to too much, just going to soft play and shops alittle later. How about you? Ds is sleeping okay but is sitting bolt upright in middle of the night and then coming into our bed. He sleeps through occasionally. How is your ds? Is he fully over his cold now?

Cocobana · 29/01/2019 09:06

Oh and yes we will both get BFP soon you’re right, best to be positive. There’s no reason we won’t, we’re both fit and healthy, doing all the right things and only 25 😉

Cocobana · 29/01/2019 09:18

@mdbroome how are you today? Have you tested? I hope your line is darker and you’re feeling more confident about it all ✨✨✨✨
