Hope everyone is okay and enjoying the weekend so far! My ds has woken up the 5th morning dry! I'm so proud of him, the 4 nights before his nappy was dry and last night we decided to not put one on him and he didn't have an accident! Amazing, my dd is 5 and she has only just gone through the night dry about a month ago! Crazy how different they all are in development x
Oh i also took your advice and visitors my local home bargains store and purchased the cheap strips. I done a test this morning 👀 so I'm a bit baffled because it strictly says don't read results after 5mins and I didn't time it. But I'm almost certain a lighter line has appeared 🙂😂 but now I'm going to have to wait unTIL tomo to actually see if it's within 5mins. I mean would a second line appear slightly if it was just over 5mins?!
Anyway I feel strangely relaxed, I've had chemicals in the past so until that period is late I don't believe lol xxx

@mfbroome A positive test is positive so yaaay congratulations!! 🎉🎀🎊 The home bargins are really accurate, i got my bfp with ds with them and looked ages after the time as wasnt expecting it to be a positive. Thats great your son has been dry all night! Double whammy today 😊😊

Thats brilliant about your little boy!! 🎉 When did you first start potty training him? My DD seems to be noticing when shes pooed or wee'd now - she touches her front when shes wee'd/weeing and touches her bum when shes done a poo (sometimes she says 'oh no!' too). I'm hoping that her becoming more aware means she'll be easier to potty train come the summer!

Well he started acting interested just about 18months but he had the benefit of watching his big sis using the toilet! He copies everything she does! He got the potty out etc but mentally it all didn't click until he was about 2..so he's done a year of dry days and nappies for sleep. Obviously with accidents along the way!
Your right starting in the summer is the best way :) they can run around at home and be prepared for a lot of wee on the floor 🤗 but after a few times of them thinking oh that's not supposed to be there and try it in the potty it does click lol xxx

Im really sad today @pasta lol. Nice to be able to admit that because noone else except you ladies and dh knows all of the build up... Im thinking of stopping all opks and apps etc next cycle so I am less obsessed and can relax, still deciding if its worth it or if I will be able to do it lol.
Have created a thread to see if ppl have had any success doing it. I know this was only second cycle but this one has been so tough emotionally, I need to change something next month.

My line wasn't as dark as that at 11DPO @Mfbroome, mine was barely there! You don't even have to squint to see that one!! 🎉 Definitely looks like theres colour to it, doesn't there?

Yes I'm just going to let her run nappyless around the garden in the summer - I have the whole of the summer holidays off so I'll have plenty of time to try and potty train her! She'll be 2 in June so I think it would be a good time.

Ooo I defo see a line @mfbroome!! They are dif from the ones I used, my home bargins only had the sticks... but im sure its the same make. And 79p is so good! What age is your ds now? x

Plenty of people don't use OPKs and fall pregnant all the time! Definitely doable, and probably a lot less stressful. Plus I bet you have such a better understanding of your body now that you've been tracking for a while.

@Scarletrose18 I'm so sorry if I'm being insensitive posting this this morning 💕 I think stopping opk isn't a bad idea but it does help pin point. If I'm honest I felt like that last cycle, I got so worked up when I was dtd, what I was eating my caffeine intake etc I was obsessing over it and me a dh were bickering because i was going to full on... we had been casually trying since last July and since I became more intense since Oct/Nov the pressure really effected me. I promised myself this cycle I would take it easier, drink coffee if I wanted it, dtd once a week and maybe a few more fertile week and I feel like it has been much more relaxed this cycle xxx

@PastaSauceHoarder okay so that's a good sign, I haven't had many symptoms but I have had this on going sore throat 😩 that would be the only thing... I'm not sure I believe it until I see it's darker! What day did urs get darker?

I did see some plastic ones aswell but I thought I'll go with 79p as I wasn't bothered about testing tbh!
They are pretty similar to the opk little packets x

@Mfbroome I didn't get any symptoms for around a week maybe? Its only now that I feel really pregnant!

@pasta Thank you, its my fault, i honestly was convinced lol. yes defo I think i will know roughly when to increase dtd now in cycle.

@mfbroome dont be silly you are not being insensitive!! We are all in this together, (our brazil nut CRU lol) so i am genuinely happy for you!! If anything, it gives me hope that we are getting bfp's in our group! And this is exciting for you! Will you buy a fr test do you think or stick to the home bargins ones?
Thats good to know, I think sometimes you need to learn a bit each cycle about what to do/not to do.
Just thinking its lovely the age your dc are as they will understand and be able to get excited about it! x

I spoke to dh and we've Botha greed since we have had chemicals before to not get excited until the line gets darker... 🤣😩🙈
I have some slight twinges today, almost probably psychological lol.
I think I will use the other two in the pack during week, then maybe when
AF due I'll use a a better one xxx

So sorry you’re feeling sad @Scarletrose18 I know how you feel. This is only my third cycle but it’s been getting me down. I feel so silly when people can take so much longer tc but I really got my hopes up last cycle. This cycle I feel abit pessimistic so I haven’t got my hopes up but I don’t know if it’ll make things feel any better if AF arrives. I don’t blame you for stopping the opks, I’m going to do them for one more month then I’ll stop for a month. How’s is your ds feeling? Did he sleep okay last night?

Aww @Mfbroome i bet even by tomorrow morning it’ll be darker. I was the same when I was pregnant with ds I kept testing every day after I first found out and it was great seeing the tests get darker. No symptoms apart from a weird fluttering feeling in my stomach this evening but is probably gas 🤣 in 8 dpo tomorrow and due AF on Saturday 2nd.

Ooh your flutters is a good sign. Would be so lovely if you got a bfp this month! It would really prove that being more relaxed is the way to do it with both you and mfbroome being chilled this cycle. Will you test early do you think?

By the way, the free preg tests that came with the opks are 10 miu which is really good, I think the bundle you and I bought is only 20/25 miu, although the free ones gave me evap so could try one of each to be safe when you test lol. Just wanted to let you know incase you hadnt noticed x
