Haha @PastaSauceHoarder I know I know lol 😊 I think I want it so much that when I got the cramps this morning I panicked. It’s silly really because all of the symptoms and the opk point to cd16 so I’m going with that day. I would never have questioned it if I hadn’t ran out of opks and they’ll have prob continued to fade. Guess after we get the surge we never really do know when the egg is released. What time is your midwife appt tomorrow? I hope the ice is melted.

I was hoping someone may be able to help, give advice or just I don’t know 😞
I am on CD 38 - I am 4 days late and all I keep getting is negatives on pregnancy tests. I get my hopes up, do a test and then nothing. I know 4 days doesn’t sound a lot but when tests can pick up positives days before, it’s hard isn’t it.

Would be lovely if it was. Im 9dpo tomorrow, I know thats too early to test so will try to hold off until Sat but I can see me testing Friday lol @pasta Did your sickness cone back again or just that once?

Defo, your right, it wouldnt of started to fade if it was still a surge, would of stayed dark. So im sure u dud ov when you think. I was planning on waiting until Sat but I cant see me waiting. Lol. What we do without google!

Hi @charl28 welcome to our group!! That must be tough, im sure your emotions are all over the place. I have heard of some people's bodies taking longer to produce hcg than others.
Do you know when you ovulated? How long are your cycles normally?

I really hope that’s the case. Between 30-33 days are my normal cycles. Ovulation was 5th of Jan but that’s based on my tracking, haven’t used the testing sticks yet.

Welcome @Charl28 - maybe try using OPKs? @PastaSauceHoarder hope your morning sickness isn't too bad - I'm only testing once a day that usually works for me! I'm so sick of waiting @Cocobana and thanks!

Here is a chart that we can maybe all use for when taking our preg tests. It tells you dpo and the average hcg levels but also the lowest and highest. I think its handy as puts into perspective when you can test.

Maybe you have ovulated later this month and your cycle is a little later. Its hard not to get your hopes up isnt it. @charl28 how many cycles have you been ttc? This is cycle2 for me. I came off my pill in October.

@scarletrose18 that picture is helpful thank you! This is cycle 2 for me as well - came off my pill end of Oct/beginning of November. It sounds silly but I just feel different - probably nothing but I am so bloated, windy (I’m sorry) and very very light cramps but nothing like PMS. Who knows - I suppose only time will tell 😓 xxx

@charl28 I understand, I feel the same and im only 8dpo.
Its horrible not knowing and pms and preg symptoms are so similar arent they. I hope you get your bfp this cycle! Will this be dc1?

Hi @Charl28, welcome to the thread! Gosh that sounds so fustrating, I hope you get answers soon. My advice would be to just keep testing, a BFP or AF is bound to show up sooner than later.

Appointment is at 9:30am tomorrow @Cocobana, shes coming to my house which is really lovely. I have to say I didn't really rate my midwife with DD, she just seemed a little unpersonal if that makes sense? Plus she was always on holiday so I very rarely actually saw her!

I get what you mean, I'm more than certain that you ovulated and your tests would be much fainter now if you were taking them - but it is natural to worry anyway. This TTC malarkey is not relaxing is it!! 🙄

@Charl28 welcome to the thread. Wow the fact your period is 4 days late is already such a good sign. I’ve heard of people waiting up to a week after their missed period before getting a positive. Maybe as @scarlet said you ovulated late on your cycle which is why it isn’t showing yet. As @pasta said keep testing every day. I can’t imagine it will be so frustrating having to wait this long.

Thanks @Scarletrose18 for the chart, that’s really useful and as @pasta said you’re always so knowledgeable. I would be tempted to test from 10dpo but I’m too impatient! I also think testing too early could give a bfn when it’s just because the hcg levels haven’t built enough. If you do test early don’t be disheartened if the latter is the case as it could just be that the hormone isn’t high enough yet. ✨✨✨✨hoping you hey your bfp this cycle, one of us needs to join @pasta at least!

@pasta thank you, I hope so! That was exactly like the midwife I had for ds. She was never bloody there lol always on holiday or assisting a home birth (she seems to go to them all). 🤣I saw a mish mash of different MW’s. I agree about it being impersonal (I think they’re more engaged if you’re high risk or an unsavoury character...acouple of those in my gp surgery.) They are understaffed and overworked and are generally fantastic. I hope you get a good MW and not the same one as last time.

@Charl28 aww I’m not surprised, I would be exactly the same! You haven’t had your period so that’s the biggest sign especially if you’re usually regular. Keep on testing and sending you lots of baby dust ✨✨✨✨

When you said about ovulating later on - could that still mean I’m pregnant though or if that was the case (ovulating later) it wouldn’t have happened this month? It all confuses me so much

@Charl28 Aww your are welcome. All of the ladies in here are lovely and so supportive. This thread keeps me sane when I’m turning into a crazy obsessed ttc lunatic 🤣! I think if you did ovulate later it would mean you would get a positive pregnancy test later than normal too if that makes sense.

Ladies sorry to blow up the thread but just when I thought I knew what was going on I have had lots of creamy ewcm (sorry tmi!) to accompany the lower cramps I’ve been getting today. It’s making me think am I ovulating later and the opk maybe picked up thesurge and the egg has been delayed somehow. This is so confusing as I never get ewcm after ovulation and I’ve had two dry days in between. Me and dh have DTD tonight incase.
