TTC FIRST BABY - THREAD 10!

Hey guys, running out of room on the old thread so starting a new one! Let’s hope it’s lucky number 10!! Will try and tag everyone now :)

So frustrated. After having a pinky colour wipe at 8am this morning, the rest of the day there has been NOTHING.

AF is broke me thinks grr!

I’ve text DP and said he had to get up early and finish housework because I ache, my head hurts and I’m tired and I just want to crochet in bed with a film on.

@babytrain89 ah mine are so sore too but really normal for me and my cat who is enormous (6.5kg) stands on my chest every morn and Eve and seems to love to put all his body weight on my breasticles. AHH the wait gah tomorrow AF due so going to hold off testing til Monday !!!

Still no sign or feeling of AF but remaining on the positive side means Xmas day drinking is all good and mum has got a cocktail making set!

No I haven't been on the pill for 2 years

It was very bizarre but my GP put it down to stress due to moving house and I had a really bad cold on the day I would usually ovulate

Only thing it could be, very bizarre but can only move forward!

I can't wait for Christmas, is anybody near there AF due date? Any maybe positives yet?

@MrsEG It really does get worse!! I can imagine your dog jumping on you hurt like heck! Mine hurt when I even nudge them...but again could just be AF. I think problem is everything could be a symptom if you want it to be! A few things seem different but like you I am trying to ignore!!

@shellybellytots ... wow that's a big cat! Mine was 5kg and that was heavy enough!!

@Shellybellytots 6.5kg your cat must be huge!! Our dog is 29kg... you really know about it when he jumps on to say good morning!!!!

@MrsH497 Cocktail making sounds awesome! I only had 3 glasses of wine at my works do last night and I have had a hint of a hangover all day - I’m such a bloody lightweight!

@qwertt12 Oh bless you - moving house is SO stressful, hope you are in and much more relaxed now! My AF is due Xmas day!

@Babytrain89 Yep, they’re so, so sore today but I am 11DPO now so sounds about right! The only plus side is they look AMAZING haha!!

@Keyboard91 I feel ya!! I'm exactly the same!! I'm just like "FFS! Just do it or don't do it!" Haha! 😂 so I'm now proper in limbo... grr! I'll see if AF arrives tomorrow

Still no AF. No cramps but BBs are a bit painful so maybe AF is thinking about arriving tomorrow? Really bloated, didn’t want any dinner. Generally just don’t feel myself, feel a bit weird. Maybe I’ve got a bug about me or something.

Would rather a day to ourselves tomorrow and not in laws! But tbf they are really nice... just means I can’t relax properly until they leave in the afternoon!

FRER negative this morning need to book a gp appt and get myself sorted. Can’t deal with these long cycles

Thanks so much everyone! It’s so nice to vent to people who understand. Usually I would lean on DH more, but it’s his first Christmas without his sister who died in pretty tragic circumstances earlier this year, so I’m trying not to put more pressure on him ☹️ To be honest that’s why I haven’t suggested SMEP or every day during the fertile window or anything. He wants a baby really badly but he doesn’t need more stress.

I think I’m going to give up on Clearblue completely. They’re too expensive and they don’t work for me. I have been temping (my temp rise was what first alerted me to the fact I’ve missed ovulation) and I’m going to get the internet cheapies off Amazon. But also I tend to ovulate within a tight enough window, so maybe I just need to dtd from cd14 to cd17 and see where that gets us.

@DuchessofPemberley sorry to hear you've had such a tough time. I hope 2019 is a year of positive change for you!

@Keyboard91 I know what you mean about liking the ILs but just wanting the time to yourself. I'm going down south to the ILs next week and as sweet as they are, they're so different to me and my family!

I hope all you ladies are going to keep me sane through the 2WW. I've not had to endure it yet, but I get it now!!

@Babytrain89 @Shellybellytots have you both beat on the cat - 8.2 kg. He was a big boy, no fat, pure muscle. And a lot of very long fur which made him look even bigger.

@DuchessofPemberley that's what I did - stopped using CB and only do cheapies and temping. CB does work for me but you gotta start way early in the cycle for it to properly work and with how much it costs, it's not worth the money.

@MrsR16 Really hope AF doesnt show today!

@Keyboard91 How are you feeling today? I’m lucky - our ILs don’t live in the same country! They’re lovely but I like the fact I usually have at least a few months notice of a visit!

@DuchessofPemberley So sorry to hear you guys have had a tough year, Christmas can bring out all the emotions too. If CB isnt working for you definitely give something else a go. If i have no luck this cycle or next I’ll be trying temping too!

@thosethreewords The 2WW is really something! You quickly learn ways to keep sane during it though!! I used to symptom spot like made and POAS ridiculously early - it was a very expensive and dumb habit!! I try to just keep myself busy now!

@MrsEG - AF has most definitely arrived. Relieved that it’s finally here and isn’t going to mess me around any longer. Just means it’ll be back to baby making when I’m back working 60hr weeks again as I start back January 4th. But I/we will make it work. Got OPKs for this months so that will help hopefully

@MrsEG ahhh waiting 'til Christmas day! This is turning me into a lune!

@starkid no way! I read too that your body can prepare to O and then it fails so it tries again. Funny how we wouldn't know these things without our baby making gadgets!! I was telling a friend last night about some of the phases and when o happens bla bla and she was like wtf I didn't know it was that complicated - yeah hun it's a bloody pain in the arse! Also your joining the New Years gang!!! Woo!! Go go go! Fx you catch it!

@Keyboard91 I agree with @MrsEG OPKs are really insightful (I prefer cb ones to IC) I ovulated so much later this month than I ever predicted, even though I temp it was never spot on and was some times hard to pin point and I didn't always trust my apps.

@DuchessofPemberley That is so frustrating. Especially as you rely on OPKs thinking they are fail proof. Don't be disheartened about not getting your peak - I know again I don't follow my own advice - cos one of my friends never got a peak and she fell pregnant and now has a beautiful baby boy. We all need to vent sometimes that's what we are here for.

@EltzBee @cupcakesandglitter my DH is the same. He is so slow. No joke I will clean all the bathrooms and hoover and mop and he will STILL be doing the kitchen. Our kitchen isn't that messy ever he just takes forever and a day to do one simple task. I swear they do it on purpose!

Sorry to hear af came @Keyboard91 at least you won't be in the early days of it over Xmas day. I couldn't think of anything worse.

DH has got man flu so he so moody atm. I said to him Friday night do you even want a baby anymore cos he never asks anything about it which I know they don't really get it and also I know he's probably just not putting pressure on it but I feel lonely going through it and that I can't talk to him about it. He can't win really. If he was too much it would be frustrating but now he's literally not taking an ounce of interest so it's making me feel even worse. Gah this whole thing is such a mind-f....
My best friend also asked last night if we were trying and I haven't told her as she's getting married in May and I'm moh and I didn't want to stress her out unnecessarily but I said sort of playing with fire. I dunno why I don't just tell her. I feel so bad lying but at the same time I know she will just say oh it'll happen don't stress and that as bad as someone saying smile or it might never happen (pet peeve!!!)

Morning everyone! Managed to stop myself POAS this morning. I feel like I know AF will come, but until she does there is still hope! Have a horrible feeling I've got a cold coming as well, been sneezing constantly and am shattered!
