Hey @TinselBee, @Rose68, @BettySwoll0cks

Here is the thread I promised us.

Somewhere for us to help eachother, pick one another up, cry, scream, laugh..

Some of us may be looking to try again, some may be putting things on hold. Whatever our plans, lets get through this together.

(I don't know whether conception was the right choice of topic, I can always have this moved to a more suitable topic if anyone would like me to)

I will look through our threads again and see if I can @mention anyone else who might like to join us

Well test looks exact same this morning so taking it as faulty tests as surely it should be darker? Also FF chart really looks like I ovulated on 30th/31st tbh, be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

Betty we were potty training over holidays too! Yay for that wee!

Kin FX you are gonna ovulate soon! Hope your temp rises nice and clearly for you too.

Frazzle my ewcm isn't always totally clear. The times ive had pink streaks is when I've ovulated actually!

It sometimes takes a few days for them to get darker Twittle so don't give up all hope. It's hard not to think the worst after going through chemicals and miscarriages though. I really hope this one works out for you.

Frazzle to add, my ewcm is very rarely clear either.

Frazzlerock · 02/01/2019 07:35

Morning,

@Twittle could that dip be implantation? As @kinsters say, it can take a while for tests to get darker, especially this early on, and would you have two faulty tests?

Ovusense has predicted my fertile window again, so maybe the EWCM was the real deal. FF has not predicted it though.

Pic coming up...

When does FF put in those cross lines?

Also, we didn't have sex yesterday, but did the day before. If we go again tonight and keep it up for a couple of days, reckon that will be enough? I worry yesterday cold have been our moment! Although the blue line is today. Eeek!

Frazzle FF only puts the crosshairs in after it confirms you've ovulated with three higher than coverline temperatures (I think it isn't just that it looks for but thats the main sign) . If it thinks you might have ovulated but isn't sure then the crosshairs are dashed rather than solid.

That's interesting that ovusense seems to predict when ovulation will happen. How does it do that? Does it use temperatures or just rely on secondary signs like cm and cervix position?

I think that should be plenty of sex. Apparently two days before ovulation is the most fertile day. It's so impossible to time though so I wouldn't stress too much as long as you're doing it every other day.

Rachyrach83 · 02/01/2019 08:06

Wow this made me cry!!
James Van derBeek has said this after his wife’s miscarriages. It’s touching:

"First off—we need a new word for it. “Mis-carriage”, in an insidious way, suggests fault for the mother—as if she dropped something, or failed to “carry.” From what I’ve learned, in all but the most obvious, extreme cases, it has nothing to do with anything the mother did or didn’t do. So let’s wipe all blame off the table before we even start."

"Second," he continued, "it will tear you open like nothing else. It’s painful and it’s heartbreaking on levels deeper than you may have ever experienced. So don’t judge your grief, or try to rationalize your way around it. Let it flow in the waves in which it comes, and allow it its rightful space. And then, once you’re able, try to recognize the beauty in how you put yourself back together differently than you were before."

Rachyrach83 · 02/01/2019 08:07

And in other news I’m still getting HIGH on CMFM and f-all on internet cheapies 😢

Frazzlerock · 02/01/2019 08:19

Thanks for the FF info @kinsters. I'm not sure how Ovusense predicts tbh! But here is the jist of it:
www.ovusense.com/uk/about-ovusense/

The only thing you enter is if you had sex and if you have a period. I've had to enter my spotting as a period as can't enter spotting.
It syncs your temp which can be at any time of the day providing you've had 4 hours consecutive sleep before you remove the device. You don't even have to sync immediately once its out. You've got a 2 hour window to sync it.

So all it goes on is temp. But this is core temp rather than basal body temp so, they say, is more accurate.

@Rachy - that is wonderful and exactly how I feel about the term 'miscarriage'. I hate it! Thank you for sharing

So, DP has just come downstairs and has decided to WFH so we have the house to ourselves for the whole day Grin I'm actually WFH too but I'm sure we can fit in a little BD

I think that's great what James VDB said - I wish more people in the public eye would talk about it this way. I am at work today and someone I work with and didn't really see before the holidays started came in and we had a long chat about miscarriages and fertility. He is a man and in his early 40s and sometimes it's nice to chat to someone removed from the situation with a different take. He wanted to talk about, it wasn't me bringing it up. So that felt good.

@Twittlebee - If there is a line, there is still a line until there isn't a line.......so positive thoughts!

@Frazzlerock - I am SURE you will get a BD session in today!!

My DH and I managed to break our dry spell last night and DTD - first time for 9 days. Still have no idea where I am in the cycle, whether I have ovulated etc. If it was during the last 9 days then there is no chance!

ratherbeshowjumping · 02/01/2019 08:40

I think Stephanie Davis has had one too, off the top of my head, but think just HOW many celebrities must suffer who don't say a word? I think what James VDB said was fantastic. I found the original ig post & sent it to dh earlier. Great to see a man talking about it too.

@Frazzlerock I'm sure you'll get time to fit in a sneaky session today!! Looks like you've got plenty though, well done to you & DP 👏🏼

I got a flashing smiley today which I'm pleased about as its showing my cycle is back to where it was before I fell pregnant. Absolutely no chance tonight but hopefully the next few days should be good. We did have a little make up session on Monday but dh committed the cardinal sin of reaching for the ky instead of the preseed 🤦🏽‍♀️🙈😂

ratherbeshowjumping · 02/01/2019 08:42

Forgot to add, @TwittleBee, a line is a line.... two tests are not going to be faulty... keep testing but I'd be smiling too... very excited for you Grin

TwittleBee · 02/01/2019 08:53

Frazzle I would really discard those temps pre CD12 s they are gonna be high due to hcg and FF might then recognise the cover line as being lower. Reckon if you have another high temp tomorrow and remove those temps pre CD12 then FF will predict Ov on CD32 for you. (You can always input tomorrow's temp now to see if it would predict Ov and then remove it later). Keep DTD just in case though!

Rachy those words couldnt be truer!

edidxb its nice he was able to talk to you about it. Has been interesting hearing DH telling me how him and a colleague have really started opening up together as his wife also had a MC last year.

Rather ah hope you do get in plenty of DTD then! Great news that your cycle is back to usual for you.

I'll stay on my hands until the weekend I think. FRERs are bloomin pricey so want to wait till I see a proper line not another one of these squinters. Does feel good DH can see it though.

But do you think it could be residual hcg? Although I got a negative test on CD17 it wast with a FRER...

Frazzlerock · 02/01/2019 09:13

Ah I totally forgot you'd suggested that @Twittle!
I've now discarded those temps and will see what it gives me tomorrow.

I do trust Ovusense though, despite it giving me a false prediction a couple of weeks ago. It predicted ovulation on my very first cycle of using it (and obvs got preg too) so I think the false ov was due to my preg hormones messing with my temps.

Maybe I should go get a job with them in tech support instead of the company I'm with now seeing as I am so passionate about them Grin

I had to google James VDB! I'm crap with celebs these days
Now I realise saying "These days" makes me sound like my mum

TwittleBee · 02/01/2019 09:21

dont worry Frazzle I have always been crap with celebs, no clue who he is!

Excited to see what FF does tomorrow for you!

Frazzlerock · 02/01/2019 09:21

@Twittle re residual HCG, it really does look like you've ovulated and you wouldn't have ovulated if you still had HCG would you?

I don't know, I don't want to get your hopes up but at the same time do!

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 02/01/2019 09:24

btw looking at all your inputted symptoms it really does look likely you Oved on CD32 Frazzle and with the BDing marked that day and day before too I have so many FX for you!

TwittleBee · 02/01/2019 09:24

ah that is such a good point actually Frazzle !

Rose68 · 02/01/2019 09:37

@Twittlebee I doubt it’s residual hcg, I think it’s just very very early. Test again tomorrow x

ratherbeshowjumping · 02/01/2019 11:00

@Frazzlerock definitely apply for a job at Ovusense... you'd be absolutely fantastic! We'd all vouch for you Grin

ratherbeshowjumping · 02/01/2019 12:25

Oh ffs....
Work in the same industry as DHs ex's new DP - (he's actually really lovely and we get on well) - anyway, bumped into each other this morning and guess what.... she's expecting a baby early July.
Obviously happy for them but ffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BettySwoll0cks · 02/01/2019 12:32

Ouch 😬

Frazzlerock · 02/01/2019 12:33

Oh bugger that @Ratherbe Sad
I'm sure I will also go back on Monday with pregnancy news from other people. Seems to be rife at my work but of course everyone else's pregnancy is normal and healthy Hmm

Sorry you've had to go back to that news x

OP posts:
edidxb · 02/01/2019 12:52

Ohhhhhhh - @ratherbeshowjumping, I would really struggle with that too. that's a real kick.

@Frazzlerock, I had never heard of Ovusense before I knew you and I think I am going to google it this afternoon!

Although, I did have a moment this afternoon when I started thinking of how much I have spent on TTC and pregnancy. I went and purchased some vitamins this afternoon. I wanted to get Alpha-Lipoic acid and couldn't find it, but I did get Ubiquinol and Vitamin E. And then I couldn't help it and got 2 more pregnancy tests......I can't order those cheap ones here in Dubai and I haven't been back to the UK recently. The cheapest I could find was about 1 GBP per test, but today I found some for about 50p so got 2. And then of course I used one as I am on CD27 and still nothing. But still negative so after 4 tests over the last week I am confident all the action on holiday didn't lead to anything......

When I was TTC before I got to the stage where I would only test if AF was late as I couldn't cope with the crushing disappointment of no line. So I need to get back to that.

Have any of you read "It starts with an egg"? I read it on holiday and whilst it was a little in depth and sciencey for me, it had lots of advice on improving egg equality hence my purchase of some different supplements today.

I also have "Taking charge of your fertility" which I bought about a year ago and it taught me so much!

And in other news.........I MAYBE, just MAYBE had some ewcm this afternoon so maybe I am going to ovulate. Test was truly negative but it could be the start of a few days leading up to it. FX.
