Hey @TinselBee, @Rose68, @BettySwoll0cks

Here is the thread I promised us.

Somewhere for us to help eachother, pick one another up, cry, scream, laugh..

Some of us may be looking to try again, some may be putting things on hold. Whatever our plans, lets get through this together.

(I don't know whether conception was the right choice of topic, I can always have this moved to a more suitable topic if anyone would like me to)

I will look through our threads again and see if I can @mention anyone else who might like to join us

Ooo congratulations Frazzle how exciting and your ring looks beautiful!

I've been drinking lots of prosecco and pretending I'm happy about it.

Rose68 · 25/12/2018 16:28

Frazzle that’s amazing news! I am so happy for you! Congratulations to you both! xxx

Rachyrach83 · 25/12/2018 16:37

Ah congratulations!!!!!
How lovely!!!!
What great news! Xxxx

TinselBee · 25/12/2018 16:44

Glad you're safely back and had a lovely holiday edidxb hope you catch up on sleep soon!

Frazzle that's amazing!!!! Congrats. So so lovely! Good luck wedding planning. (I know you aren't convinced that was a +OPK and unless temps match there is no way to know if you ovulated following that but my +OPKs only last a couple hours so I always test constantly with them plus you don't always ovulate for another 3 days after! So FX!)

BettySwoll0cks · 25/12/2018 18:37

Congrats Frazzle!! What lovely, happy news.

I hope everyone is having a good day today. Slightly strange one here, DH has man flu and has spent half the day in bed. I'm pretty sure I completed my mc this morning - was going to collect the sample and take it to the hospital for testing, but fuck it it's Christmas Day and I didn't want to be collecting gloop and driving to the hospital while also trying to cook a Christmas lunch etc.

So ... new beginnings. Hopefully I can move on from today. DS has had a brilliant day and has loved Christmas. I have a cheeseboard and a rather expensive bottle of wine to enjoy after tiddles is in bed. What's not to love?

ratherbeshowjumping · 25/12/2018 18:39

What a gorgeous piece of good news!!!! Frazzle I'm beyond thrilled for you & your lovely new fiancé.

How exciting! Just what we all needed 😘😘 the most beautiful ring too!

smerlin · 25/12/2018 19:24

Congratulations @Frazzlerock - great to have some good news on the thread!

I am technically still on TWW I suppose as AF didn't materialise after yesterday's bleed but am drinking all the champagne because I bloody well deserve it!

Buggles1 · 25/12/2018 19:35

Fabulous news @frazzlerock, congratulations.
Merry Christmas to you all. Been a hectic one here, with family over, and not how I’d intended things to be. I had so wanted to announce good news to everyone but it’s also good to feel warm, loved and ready to start again. Fingers crossed for 2019 ladies...

Rachyrach83 · 25/12/2018 22:01

Sorry TMI but my god this AF is heavy!
Back on tampons today as yesterday seemed ok.... usually change without issue every 4 hours-ish but today it’s soaking them every few hours max and it’s literally dripping out in the seconds inbeteeen me swapping them! Never known AF with such thin and runny blood. Staying overnight at the parents tonight and worried I’m going to soak through :(
Took aspirin for the pain earlier as all I could find in medicine cupboard , but that was 11am so could that affect?? Xx

Rose68 · 26/12/2018 00:12

Rachy do you think you could be haemorrhaging? I think if you soak through a pad in less than an hour for more than 4 hours you should get help. I hope you are okay xxx

edidxb · 26/12/2018 02:11

Oh congratulations @Frazzlerock - what a fantastic piece of news to come back to on the thread! We are due some good news so what a great way to kick it off!

@Rachyrach83 - I do think if it continues to soak through so quickly you might have to head to the hospital, which I appreciate no-one wants to do on Boxing Day. However, after I had my first mmc at 10 weeks in March, when I first had my period in April it was exactly how you describe it. Really runny, really gloopy. I had massive strands of gloop (a little like ewcm) of blood hanging down. It was horrible. It varied between large clumps of clots as well as the gloop. So it is normal, but it is how quickly you are soaking through which is concerning me.

So I got up at 430am this morning after being awake since 3am. I think this jetlag is going to take me a while to get over...........urrrghhhhh. At least I don't go back to work until tomorrow.

I had a great holiday in the Caribbean and I think it was exactly what I needed after the miscarriage. My DH and I got on really well and I think the holiday bought us closer together. We didn't even really talk about the miscarriage particularly but did do the deed quite a lot which was good and quite unusual for us. When I got pregnant both times before it was just the one event of BD that week that got me pregnant.

I took my thermometer and OPK sticks with me with full intention of using them but I only took my temperature a few days as I struggled with the time difference to start with. I peed on a stick 2 days but it was inconclusive as to whether I was about to ovulate or not so I gave up. So it was quite nice not to think about it too much even though I was planning on getting back into my TTC routine pretty quickly. So I am on CD20 since the operation and I think I have ovulated as my CM is a little more creamy but that's the only evidence I have!!

I have drunk so much alcohol though, and eaten so unhealthily which is fine but I am desperate to go back to peppermint tea and vegetables rather than champagne and cheeseburgers!!

It is now 6am and I have been up for ages..........urgh. Today is going to be a long day x

TinselBee · 26/12/2018 06:30

Morning all!

Rachy if you soak through more than every hour go get checked for sure. Maybe if a Phone call to 111 would be a good idea for now even? When I had PID I was soaking through pads every hour and had periods how youre describing in texture had every time i had a period so possibly could be an infection.

Smerlin apologies if you have already, but have you taken a test to rule our implantation bleeding?

edidxb hope you recover from jetlag quickly and sounds like you did have a wonderful time. FX all that DTD will see you have another BFP soon.

So, my chart does not indicate I've ovulated at all. Although like edidxb my CM has now turned creamy which usually happens after I've Ovd. I have disregarded the whacky temps at start which I think we're caused by either pregnancy hormones and/or excessive drinking to make it look more rational but this morning's temp certainly doesn't suggest ovulation.

The July '19ers - knocked down, but never beaten
smerlin · 26/12/2018 07:13

@Rachyrach83 are you ok this morning?

@TinselBee took a FRER test on Boxing Day that was a strident negative. Will test in a few days if AF not here still.

@edidxb your holiday sounds fab. Was it a cruise or an island visit?

TinselBee · 26/12/2018 07:32

FX for you Smerlin

What's everyone's plan today for Boxing Day?

edidxb · 26/12/2018 08:19

@smerlin - it was a cruise. We started in Barbados, then St Vincent and Grenadines, Dominica, Guadeloupe (where we went on a Death in Paradise tour - love that show!), St Barts, BVI and St Martin. Pretty cool islands on quite a small ship. It was expensive but all inclusive. We had booked it as a "last holiday without children" holiday before I got my last BFP. Either I would drink if not pregnant or just enjoy the holiday if pregnant.

@tinselbee - I am not sure your temps are reliable to really tell. You could have ovulated on 22nd and the most recent are rogue. It's tough to tell. It is so frustrating though. I wish in some ways I had managed to temp this month but it's quite nice not to agonise over my chart. But equally I have no idea if I have ovulated or not and when to expect AF.

I saw @kincat here when I was reading through what I had missed, but I can't remember your new username. I remember you from the July group as you were also a non UK based person. I am really sorry to see you here as well. Although, this group is turning out to be an amazing group of ladies.

I have unpacked this morning, put two loads of laundry on, been food shopping and collected my dog from the kennels. My husband is at work and it doesn't feel much like Boxing Day at all. I really want to make sure I am home in the UK next Christmas period or my parents come here - it's just not the same otherwise.

I feel really shit with my lack of sleep but am trying to power on through.....

Rachyrach83 · 26/12/2018 08:53

Morning all
Thank you for your concern
Sorry this is a minging post!!

The good news is it seems to have got better overnight. But after I posted that message I sneezed (with tampon in) and literally gushed and soaked through my pants and jeans in a psych about size of apple!! Luckily I had dark jeans on and could rush to change into my PJs saying i wanted to be in my comfies! I was so bloated I looked 5 months pregnant!!
Managed to sneak a sanitary towel from sisters washbag and slept with tampon and that..... and this morning it hadn’t even soaked tampon. Odd! It’s got from thick goop hanging down to funny thin blood and hopefully now normal xx
Told DH what was going on yesterday, he usually hates knowing about women’s stuff, but when he saw what had happened to my jeans and I explained that was WITH a tampon I think it was a massive realisation what’s happened to my body and how much it’s affected me physically and he’s wrapping me up in cotton wool today - which is nice.
Thanks for all your advice, I’ll undoubtedly be back for more!!

Oh. And that cruise sounds divine!!!!

Yesterday (apart from AF) was lovely! Had an adult Xmas round mums and she had the best time! First time she seemed happy in a long time which was heart warming.

Today is our day with the kids- their mother had them yesterday as we had them last year.
DH on the way to get them now then off to the MILs for a crazy kid filled Xmas #2 (6boys all under 9!) so I’m going to plonk myself in the kitchen with a bottle of fizz and try tonnkt get stressed!!
Oh- and forgot to bring BBT! Damn it x

TinselBee · 26/12/2018 09:32

Actually edidxb tbf I'm not even sure I had 3 hours sleep when I took that temp. I know I woke up in the hour of 3 as I looked at my phone and just saw 3 and then tried for a while to get back to sleep before I did then I woke up just past 6... Just remembered that as DH said he saw I was restless last night... But I always thought restlessness raised temps?

Oh thats a relief it has calmed down after that weird sneeze episode Rachy !! Glad you had a lovely day despite everything too

smerlin · 26/12/2018 09:34

Wow Rachyrach83 that sounds awful. Glad you managed to enjoy Christmas all the same though!

Kinsters · 26/12/2018 11:52

edidxb I'm KinCat. And you're right, I'm based in Malaysia (although back in the UK for Christmas). You're in the middle East right? I found quite a lot of comfort in the expat groups I'm a member of on Facebook. The cruise sounds amazing!

Tinsel the temps don't look like you ovulated yet but, yeah, they could definitely be affected by if you're restless etc.

Rachy that sounds like an awful period, pleased to hear that it seems to have tapered off a bit and that your DH is being good to you. I've read that periods can be different after a MC.

We're just having a lazy boxing day. I got Michelle Obama's book so I'm reading that and DH is doing a bit of work. I also feel like I'm coming down with a cold which sucks as the next few days are going to be very full on seeing friends and family.

Rose68 · 26/12/2018 14:16

Rachy I wonder if you had some retained product that your body was trying to flush out? If it’s slowed down now that’s good and I don’t expect you will have any more trouble. I’m so sorry you had to deal with that on Christmas Day, it can’t have been easy.

Emotionally I am not great today and I can’t seem to snap myself out of it. 😥

Rachyrach83 · 26/12/2018 16:47

You may be right @rose as I feel physically better today than I’ve felt in 3 months!! Hopefully I’ve fully reset!
Something definitely wasn’t right, but FX as it’s tapered right off to light flow now.

Sorry you are feeling low, it’s hard because in a perfect world we had the perfect timing.... Xmas announcement and being fussed around by family and sale shopping for our babies... but life wasn’t perfect for us :(
However, take your 5 days of this year to feel sorry, and fresh start in 2019. Live to you all xxx

BettySwoll0cks · 26/12/2018 22:41

Evening all. Partly inspired by previous conversations about supplements, but also in light of the fact I've just demolished half a bottle of wine and much of a cheeseboard Blush ... does anyone else have any ttc-related lifestyle tweaks planned for the new year? Mine are:

  1. Fully wean DS off the boob. For many this doesn't affect fertility, for some apparently it does. He's going to be really upset but he's 2.5yo so he's had a pretty good run
  2. More vegetables, less meat, eliminate processed foods.
  3. No drinking alcohol during the week. I can easily do a half bottle of wine per night and more at wknds - not a good habit. More water.
  4. Exercise. 4x per week even if it's just light (eg long-ish dog walk)

I'm getting Invisalign braces in 2 weeks so I reckon that should help w the eating ... no opportunity to mindlessly pick at bad foods. I can't really control sleep quality, my DS is a total sleep thief.

Any more?

Rachyrach83 · 26/12/2018 23:02

Hey Betty
I had invisilign 9 years ago when I was 26, man they hurt at first when you get a new moulds so chewing if off the agenda!! Persevere!! They are worth it!!
Get a fixed bond retainer when you finish! So glad I got mine! 9 years still going strong!!

My resolution is to keep up the suppliments and get enough sleep x

edidxb · 27/12/2018 00:18

Morning all. 4.15am here and the jet lag is still going strong. I woke up at 2am after 3 hours sleep and finally got up at 4. This is 4 nights in a row now of 3 hours sleep. It will get better at some point, but it's pretty grim in the mean time.

I am going to massively cut back on the alcohol. I had a few drinks last night and I don't think that is helping with me not being able to sleep. I don't drink loads as a whole, but too much too frequently.

I am also planning on cutting back on the carbs.

TinselBee · 27/12/2018 07:58

How are you functioning edidxb right now?

Cutting back the drink and any caffeine will surely help Betty Be careful how much meat you remove btw and if you do remove it ensure you are getting good sources of iron and protein still. My Dr freaked out at me when I said we only have 1 serving of meat a week now, she also freaked when I said I have porridge oats for breakfast, apparently I should ensure I'm having cereals that are fortified with vitamins and minerals and not plain porridge as it's empty calories? But it might be different for me as I've only just entered the healthy BMI weight and have other health issues.

FX you don't get a full blown cold Kin

Rose oh bless you, hope you're feeling better emotionally today
