@Laney79 I did point out my past and that they were doing one for another lady (nurse told me Sunday) but was told no. I was told I could still have a erpc if I wanted one otherwise I could wait again see if it shifts its self

Laney79 · 21/01/2019 17:50

@Lilimum6 Ooh that's not on. I'd definitely ask to speak to someone higher up. Really feel for you. Maybe worth ringing round other hospitals to see if any of them offer it and ask to be transferred? X

Chilliandlime · 21/01/2019 17:50

@lilimum6 I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Does your hospital do MVA or is there another that is reachable that does? I can't say it wasn't painful but it seems to include scanning before, during and after?

Yukka · 21/01/2019 19:10

@lilimum6 I would go on the hospital website and get the name of the clinical director for gynae and send them a strongly worded email. You should also phone your gp tomorrow and tell them what is being said- they should also then contact the hospital to help you get the right outcome here.

Rather than telling you what they won’t do, they need tell you what they ARE going to do to ensure this is successful given the hospitals previous history with you and followed up by how soon you can move on to rmc testing.

You can’t wait this out you know your body doesn’t respond like that. It needs to be dealt with xx

I presume you don’t have private healthcare through work? As this op would usually be covered if you do x

Sorry that they're being so difficult @Lilimum6 :(

I'm definitely out as AF has started. At least my cycle seems to have gone back to what it was before the miscarriage... I'm so worried that I'm never going to be able to get pregnant again. I've emailed a private clinic to see if they'll do some basic fertility checks but I'm not sure if they'll test after 2 failed cycles or not even if I'm paying.

Laney79 · 22/01/2019 06:39

@Beaglemum93 the fear of not being able to get pregnant again is huge isn't it. I feel it too. Sorry about AF xxx

Mistymeow · 22/01/2019 09:26

Thank you @dimblebimble and @laney79

I can’t believe it. Got a faint line today on ic at 11dpo so tried a frer. I’m shaking. I’m in the bathroom waiting for DH to get off the phone so I can tell him. The IVF appointment is meant to be on Friday. I’m scared it will all go wrong again.

@mistymeow congrats!!! Amazing! Slightly ironic it’s just before your IVF! Are you going to speak to gp first or just go to the appointment? X

Congratulations @Mistymeow!

Russkispy · 22/01/2019 14:58

@Mistymeow massive congratulations! Hope the little bean sticks!

Mistymeow · 22/01/2019 18:30

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments. I spoke to my GP and he said to cancel the ivf appointment. He said my news had made his day, very sweet. I spoke to the hospital and they were lovely, said they will cancel the appointment and if it didn’t work out they will put me back on the list (which is only 3 months in our area). I’m just scared it will end soon, I had some light brown cm (spotting) today. I know they say brown blood is old blood but it still brought back the memory of the miscarriage.

Boboelephant · 22/01/2019 19:27

@Mistymeow oh my goodness!!! How amazing! Do you know I read somewhere that 30% of women struggling with infertility get pregnant naturally when they start the IVF process. I'm so so happy for you! Fingers crossed for a sticky bean 🤞🤞

Waves to everyone else. Sorry up for those I miss, I ended up several pages behind again.
@Dimblebimble tentative congrats to you as well.
@Lilimum6 so sorry this crap is neverending for you. I agree about not accepting their change of mind. That's just rubbish on their part.
@Yukka and @SerenaOverjoyed so happy to hear you have both reached 12 weeks. 😀
@Laney79 how are you getting on? Have you managed to hold off testing?

Hope everyone else is ok.

MeghanV07 · 22/01/2019 19:36

@Boboelephant I was one of those 30%! Well, my mum was. She didn't convince after 18 months, went to her fertility app & they did a test to make sure and she was pregnant with me 🥰

TinyPaws · 22/01/2019 20:00

@Mistymeow Congratulations! I am rooting for you and your little bean so hard!

MummyG82 · 22/01/2019 20:01

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining. Little background on me. I had a MC 10 years ago with ex which was horrendous as I MC in April but didn't pass everything till September! Hospital didn't call me back in for check ups or anything. Jan 2013 I had my ds who's now a healthy nearly 6 year old. My DH n I decided last year to try for no 2 but unfortunately on 27th Dec at 12 week scan we found no baby just an empty sack, this was tough as I'd had no bleeding or signs of MC. We were told it may be a partial molar pregnancy, I was told I could wait for it to start naturally, which would mean rushing to hospital when it did start so they could collect it for analysis or I could opt for surgical removal, the option I took because of previous experience, and it also ment they could send it off for analysis. I had the surgery on 28th Dec, had a blood test for HCG a week later which was 48 then did a home pregnancy test a week later which came back as not pregnant and today have received a letter saying it was not partial molar, which we are relieved about but are now wondering if it's classed as a MMC!? Anyway I still haven't had a period but DH n I want to start TTC asap, should we wait till I've had a period? What's your opinions please?

Laney79 · 22/01/2019 20:08

Hi @Boboelephant I caved in Sunday at 9dpo and it was a bfn. I know it's early but I don't feel pregnant and I'm 11dpo today. Normally AF would come tomorrow/thurs on day 26/27 of cycle so I'm just awaiting the witch. The hopeful dreamer in me says do another test tomorrow because I may just have been a bit later implanting but reality is it's highly unlikely. Also didn't do myself any favours by looking up the miscarriage stats based on day of implantation. Own worst enemy me!

How are you doing? Xxx

Laney79 · 22/01/2019 20:12

@MummyG82 welcome, sorry to hear of your losses. If it was me and I felt ready I'd just crack on. Doesn't sound like other than dating the pregnancy you have any reason to wait to TTC. Xxx

MummyG82 · 22/01/2019 20:23

@Laney79 thank you and that's what I was thinking! We might struggle to work out dates until dating scan if we were successful but I can see why we shouldn't try.

I ment to add on my first post, Sorry everyone's losses. Life can be so cruel at times. Xxx
