@Lilimum5 I'm hoping my clinic will agree to do bloods tomorrow.

Russkispy · 06/12/2018 12:32

@TinyPaws everything. Crossed for you!!

Laney79 · 06/12/2018 13:47

@TinyPaws hugs and keeping everything crossed for you.

@Lilimum5 I'm usually 26 days (well the two af's I had between bean and bow) with a 12 day luteal phase. So normally ov day 14...hoping I get a positive opk later.

@MeghanV07 that's interesting-I've only used pregnacare one month prior to catching with bow and it didn't have an effect...maybe that loss has made them more effective?

@Beaglemum93 Yeah, first proper cycle-took 53 days after losing bow for AF to turn up.

Thanks @Mistymeow - on the vitamin d just searching for answers and trying to rule out possible causes. I am always tired and am generally pale! I found a test at home thing for £30 so I thought I might get one. I've read a lot about vitamin D and how it's proven to be important in miscarriage prevention, so part of me says if it won't harm I may take an extra supplement but then worried it'll be too much!

As for tests-if I don't use FRER's I tend to use the cheapies you get from home bargains -they are called clear & simple. They've always been quite good and sensitive for me. Xxx

MeghanV07 · 06/12/2018 14:04

@TinyPaws I try not to look into the darkness of lines. I had the darkest line the night before my mc so now don't believe in that at all! I just think as long as there is a line, there is hope. Everything crossed for you xx

@Laney79 possibly!! My friend is on them after coming off the pill and her cycles are usually 24 days and she's on day 28 now with no sign of AF and no sign of pregnancy... hopefully AF turns up for you soon and you can start a fresh month xx

DayDreamer1707 · 07/12/2018 08:37

Morning Ladies and another happy Friday to you all. Currently on CD24 and 11DPO (I think). Hope everyone is doing ok and let's hope for some good news for some over the weekend x

Mistymeow · 07/12/2018 09:31

@tinypaws how are you doing today?

No joy on the frer sadly. Think this spotting must be hormonal. Sigh. Just want my regular cycles back, it’s been 8 months.

TinyPaws · 07/12/2018 09:33

@Mistymeow No joy. Faint positive on official clinic test. They refused to do a blood test. I'm to repeat the test on Monday. The nurse did not sound optimistic.

MeghanV07 · 07/12/2018 09:41

@TinyPaws I have it all crossed for you 🤞🏼.

We've got my sister in law surprise 40th tonight so hiding not drinking is going to be tough as my family are big drinkers!

I've still been temping since I got my BFP and had two temperatures drops yesterday and today so now I'm really worrying is this a miscarriage waiting to happen 😔

DayDreamer1707 · 07/12/2018 09:56

This morning one of my best friends who had a MC in May has just sent me her 12 week scan of her little one. I'm so happy for her but just makes me want to get my BFP even more!!! I do not dare to test!

@Mistymeow hopefully you will get back into a regular cycle soon, not knowing where you stand just makes things harder

@TinyPaws Thinking of you and hope you get better results on Monday

@MeghanV07 oh think positive, our bodies are so unpredictable and nothing ever follows the book when it comes to pregnancy x

@Lilimum5 good luck with your blood test today x

KnitKitty · 07/12/2018 09:57

@Russkispy I will be thinking of you on Saturday. Really hope it works xxx

@MeghanV07 You can always have a private scan at 6 weeks if you think it will reassure you; but just be aware that they may not see the baby at this stage and it might only be the yolk sac; but at least you'll know it's in the right place then. Some people will see a heart beat that early; others don't. So if you think you can handle not seeing a heart beat if it isn't showing, go for it... But just be careful because sometimes it's more worrying than it is reassuring.

@MistyMeow The mind games we go through on this journey! Sorry you're body is still a bit all over the place. I got my hopes up for you for a minute there. I have my fingers still firmly crossed for the coming months for you though. xxx

@Holly5633 It's all well and good having certain intentions, but it all goes out the window when that TWW arrives. I found not having any tests in the house the best way for self control; and having OH decide when we tested as he's a lot more level headed than I am!

@DayDreamer1707 I'm sorry you're struggling. When was your MC? I had very strong waves of sadness for about 4 months after my first one before I felt more on an even keel again.

@Panapan Hugs. Doctors are unlikely to do anything since it's only been 5 months hun. I know it doesn't seem normal for you, but some people this happens... They catch straight away and then their next pregnancy takes months. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong. Your body may just need the time to recover from MC.

@Lilimum5 I'm sending you hugs and hand holds.

@fnej01 I find I get a mini bought of PMS around O sometimes too. Must be the change in hormones.

@Boboelephant Have you been having acupuncture before? I can't remember. Good luck with FW xxx

@Laney79 I remember umming and ahhing over which digital OPK to get and seeing the one that gives you 5 days of fertile window vs the 2 days and figured 5 days might be too long. OH doesn't get in the mood that often so I was worried we'd DTD too soon with too much advanced warning. I'm beginning to think the cheaper the better when it comes to OPKs! Although I do like seeing a static smiley rather than having to work out if a line is dark enough or not. I only used mine that one month though and have come to the conclusion that you're just as likely to fall pregnant without OPKs, but they are useful to help you work out when AF is due. I'd take it all with a big pinch of salt, but sorry it's confusing you!

@TinyPaws Oh hun. Sending huge hugs. It's really horrible playing this waiting game, isn't it. xxx

CD1 for me today. I've come full circle now; it's a year since starting TTC.
Had nine vials of blood taken yesterday so the waiting game for answers begins. I'm hoping I don't have to wait long for the MRI scan.
I am really pleased about one thing. It looks like acupuncture may have extended my luteal phase by 2 days. I had a classic 28 day cycle and seemed to ovulated on CD14 which is encouraging. Smile
It's been nice having a cycle just allowing my body to find it's own rhythm again without TTC. I'm sort of looking forward to a couple more stress free cycles now.
I'm not at work this weekend and it's my birthday on Monday, so looking forward to a nice weekend with OH. Christmas shopping, having a family meal and chilling.

Holly5633 · 07/12/2018 10:02

@Tinselbee thinking of you today. I hope all goes as well as can be x

granolacrayons · 07/12/2018 10:05

@Laney79 I tend to get low Vit D levels in winter so I've been taking an omega supplement which also has Vit D. My acupuncturist recommended this one:

www.amazon.co.uk/UnoCardio-1000-Vitamin-60-Softgels/dp/B00M49CPE4/ref=pd_ys_c_rfy_rp_65801031_0?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_wg=4axiZ&pd_rd_i=B00M49CPE4&pd_rd_w=IekzN&tag=mumsnetforum-21&refRID=Q457MWH0XDP6RE1GKW4C&pd_rd_r=Y5YJ874ZWJ0FBAR2M4YB

It is expensive, but hopefully, it is good quality.

KnitKitty · 07/12/2018 10:05

@MeghanV07 Oh lovely, please stop doing home tests; temping or POAS. It'll only add to your anxieties right now, and since pregnancy after MC is an anxious time it's best if you steer away from anything that might make it worse. I know it's hard because you have a feeling of not having any control over the situation you're in and you're seeking reassurance wherever you can; but testing at home is probably not a good way to find reassurance right now... There are too many factors which could affect the results so they're not reliable.
A few threads ago a lot of people were discussing meditation apps; have you tried any? Meditation is a good way to help you stay calm and helps with the patience needed to get through these first few weeks. I'd suggest focusing your attention on other things to pass the time as well. Find a project to do in your spare time. And if you want to; keep a journal so you can let any anxieties out of your head before bed or when you wake up.

DayDreamer1707 · 07/12/2018 10:07

@KnitKitty I have days where I'm ok, just want to be pregnant again like all of us I suppose.

I had my MMC on the 15th October and first AF was on the 14th November so currently on CD24 and I think 11DPO. Not sure when I will have a visit from AF but I thought it would of been any day now as I had the symptoms I would normally get on Mon/Tues, emotional, bad skin on my chest and slight cramps. But now nothing apart from the odd cramp. I think my body is still very confused.

So glad to hear you have had some positive news, least you can enjoy your birthday. I hope your results come back with further help for you and then you will have an even better chance for your BFP. FX you hear back about having your scan soon too x

Boboelephant · 07/12/2018 10:55

@Russkispy wonderful news. Go little embie go!!!!
@Laney79 my understanding is that if you take more vit d than you need, your body expels the excess. I take a TTC vitamin and vitamin D spray as well. Perhaps worth getting iron levels and thyroid checked? I was tired all the time and I had an underactive thyroid. Or perhaps you could be anaemic? The delayed ovulation is frustrating but I imagine it's probably due to it being first cycle. I take coq10 on advice of fertility doc but it hasn't affected mine.
@Mistymeow good to hear things are progressing. Mine is a bit different as I'm not eligible for NHS so went private. We've had our meetings and now are just waiting for December AF to start. Due to our holidays and clinic being closed over Christmas I'll start taking drugs in Jan and EC, transfer etc should be early Feb. I think the Superdrug ones are ok. I've also used the Morrisons ones which are good. £3.50 for 2 so not too bad. Just saw that it was bfn on frer. Sorry love. Hopefully Tuesday will get things cracking on!
@Wearytree I've had every pain and twinge under the sun. Try not to worry. We become a bit hyper sensitive after loss and notice everything. I've read that ovulation pain can happen up to two days before you actually release the egg.
@TinyPaws so sorry to hear you're so worried. Tentative congratulations for the bfp!! Perhaps you are testing too early? If you tested 4 days ago, perhaps the trigger shot was still producing higher levels of hcg? If you aren't bleeding it's probably not a chemical and likewise ectopics still produce hcg and keep growing until they can't anymore. I had super dark tests with my ectopic. Ahh just seen your update. A line is still a line and I have everything crossed for you for Monday.
@Meghan07 try and stop temping if you can. Apart from confirming ovulation there are too many variables and you don't want to stress about every rise and fall.
@KnitKitty happy birthday for Monday lovely! Glad to hear that your cycle was so regular. I was having acupuncture for about 4 months earlier in the year. Then I stopped as I got fed up that nothing was working but have been going to a different lady who does acupuncture and shiatsu at the same time for the past month. My fertility doc recommended I do it again alongside IVF.

Tiniestsky · 07/12/2018 11:01

Has anyone here had a methotrexate injection after a pregnancy in an unknown location? I'm on day 5 after it and the sickness and mostly passed but I've got a bloated and painful stomach, not particularly low down, it kinda feels like trapped wind. Anyone else have anything like that?

Mistymeow · 07/12/2018 11:49

@KnitKitty thanks, I got my hopes up a little I must admit! But more anxious that something was very wrong. Have calmed down now. Glad to hear the acupuncture is helping! Happy birthday for Monday :)
@Tinypaws sorry this is such an anxious time. I hope you get a positive answer, I really do. So many things can affect the line of a pregnancy test, dye levels etc.
@DayDreamer1707 thank you! I hope you get your BFP soon x
@Meghan07 to echo the others, put the thermometer away! Fluctuating hormones during pregnancy can cause your bbt to drop, which is why the advice is to stop temping once you get a bfp. It will not help your anxiety. Keep to the gp's advice. Sending you hugs x
@boboelephant wow that's happening all so quickly! We may decide to go private if the wait is long. My dh's parents want to pay for it. My father in law is in remission for cancer and it will return one day- he wants a grandchild and dh is an only child. Also I think a part of them feels responsible, because dh's condition is genetic. So kind of them but hoping we can have one cycle on the nhs.

Am thinking perhaps the bleed I had 6 days was af, and actually I am cd6. We'll see if af turns up at the weekend. I'm also wondering if this new conception vitamin has messed me up, as it contains vitamin b12 which I have never taken before. I'll go back to vit d and folic just in case. Stooopid hormones.

Russkispy · 07/12/2018 13:16

Thank you lovely ladies! Got another picture of it and it's divided in 8.3. Tomorrow will have another update in the morning and ET is lunch time! Acupuncture is booked on Monday and reflexology on Wednesday bloody needed it!

Justincase87 · 07/12/2018 15:21

Hi all

I had my follow up scan today and there was a little 7+4 baby with a heartbeat, the dates are perfect based on my cycle length/luteal phase - I'm still petrified but trying to stay positive, my last pregnancy ended at 8+4, but my dates were completely out from the start - I'm trying to focus on my booking appointment now on 27th of December.

I'm struggling to keep up with everyone's stories but sending Flowers to everyone.

Wearytree · 07/12/2018 20:05

Ah really @Boboelephant ? I didn't know that, so that's reassuring.

I've got a really weird heavy feeling in my lady bits now Confused still obsessing.

Need DH to hurry up and get back from work so we can get another DTD in quick!

Wearytree · 07/12/2018 20:06

@Justincase87 have you tried pregnancy yoga? I've never been into yoga before but I just did a conception one on YouTube and found it very calming.

Laney79 · 07/12/2018 20:10

Thanks for the replies ladies.

@KnitKitty yeah-I'm in a similar position with my OH. I only really got the new CB connected as it was cheaper than the others but thought the extra warning of high fertility would be useful. Instead I'm just getting progressively more upset and worried. I'm cd15 now and it's still showing low fertility. So if I have several high fertility days before peak I'm looking at at least at 32 day cycle as things stand, when my normal has been 26 days. I really thought our weekend away would be good timing as we dtd Monday and Tuesday and I should on the basis of my normal cycle have ov'd yesterday...but instead here I am. My OH isn't doing well since we came home so the chances of more BD-ing is low, especially as I'm away tomorrow night and Monday night. I'm so worried I won't ovulate or I'll end up in early menopause. Really feels like fate is against us having a baby. it's just not fair.
Hope you have a lovely birthday on Monday hon x

Thanks @granolacrayons I'll have a nose. Have no idea if my level is low or not but I just think if there are things I can do that won't hurt then why not

Thanks @MeghanV07 - most stuff seems to suggest coq10 doesn't mess with cycles so it's prob just my body being cruel again.

@Boboelephant been checked for anaemia which came back ok, thyroid too-my tsh was 1.39, and 1.8 back in May which they say is fine. I'm tempted to have a private test to check thyroid antibodies, as well as vitamin D, B12 and folate levels. I just need to rule more things out to at least feel like I have some control.

@TinyPaws hugs xxx

@Russkispy fingers crossed for you.

@Justincase87 pleased for you-hope all continues to progress well xxx

hayleyfx · 08/12/2018 01:03

@Justincase87 lovely news! Delighted for you x

@TinyPaws such a scary time, I totally understand. I’m hoping for the best outcome for you. Fingers crossed 🤞

@KnitKitty great to hear you’re feeling more positive now and some good news. Hopefully your results don’t take too long!

Sorry I’ve not been on, just taken a few days away to relax and clear my mind of everything. Feeling so much better now. Definitely not TTC for at least a few months now and I’m feeling surprisingly positive about it 🤔 I’m around CD7 I think and just feeling so relaxed knowing I’m not worrying about timing dtd, using opks, stressing about getting pregnant. For the first time in a year I’m just concentrating on other things and genuinely not thinking about TTC. So next step is recurrent miscarriage testing and I’m feeling okay about that, nervous, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Sorry I’ve missed loads of posts - I’m half asleep posting this 😂 I’ll have a read through them tomorrow but hope everyone is doing okay. Sending hugs to anyone who needs it ❤️

Russkispy · 08/12/2018 11:49

Got my last update earlier this morning and my little trooper was still developing and progressing nicely. And now my little trooper is on board the mama train! Got very emotional watching it happening and even got a little snap of my tiny bean. Been given loads of things to take and test day in 10 days.

OctoberGirl91 · 08/12/2018 13:02

Fx for you @Russkispy

I'm in my TWW and trying keep myself busy! Hope you get your BFP xx
