Can I have a hand hold please?...AF 2 days ‘late’

I’ve been ttc 2.5 years. We have confirmed MFI. In the process of applying for IVF. Have sacked off opks and temping and trying just to enjoy sex before IVF starts but with a focus around the essential week as it were. According to FF AF is 2 days ‘late’ now I could have ovulated late causing a lengthy cycle. If I ovulated around the same time as I do normally I would be around 14dpo ish. Normally I would be spotting by now with first day of AF on CD29. Its CD31 with no spotting and white CM. I keep getting a crampy type feeling like AF will come but it hasn’t yet. And my boobs hurt.

I need a hand hold not to get my hopes up or excited. I don’t want to test and get my hopes up in case it is just a case of late ovulation until I am officially late like CD36 or something. My DH is working away for a while so I’m in this on my own as I don’t want to get his hopes up either.

Please hold my hand??!

It’s tough isn’t it. You don’t want to get excited as to see a stark white negative test is awful.

Wow, I definitely would have tested by now, well done on holding out. We have been ttc for 3 years, and although we already have 2dd's its still rough. AF due Tuesday for me and I will probably test tomorrow hahaha x

Thanks guys! @nicnacnew I gave up early testing about 6 months ago. I couldn’t cope with all the negatives and then thinking oh it’s braise I tested early etc. There is one way for me guaranteed to start AF and that’s is to pee on a stick! I felt like I might as well pee on ten pound notes early testing.

I’m so hoping it is our time but so trying to keep a level head so as I am not heart broken if it’s just a shit trick by my body

You would think that I would learn to control myself but I can't. My DH would go mad if he knew how many tests I do a month. In my defense just cheapie ones. Fingers crossed for you x

So update: now 3 days ‘late’ and still no spotting.

I don’t know when to test as I can’t face another negative. How long would you hold out for? A week late? 5 days late?

OP how much longer is your DP away for? Well done for holding out this long truly :) If you're normally pretty regular I'd be tempted to today can understand though if you wanted to wait until 5 days late. Wishing you all the best

I totally understand not wanting to see a negative test. It is crushing. I think in your position if you really want to wait I would work out what your longest cycle has been previously and test a day or two after then.

DH is away until end of feb 😱🙈 I will be testing before then if AF doesn’t show 😂

Longest cycle is 31 days. Now on cycle day 33

Probably best to test before end of February

I can understand not wanting to see a negative but if you’re on day 33 I’d be seriously considering doing it today or tomorrow.
