@Crosfitgirl When I last saw my Nan in September she very matter-of-factly told me I'll be having a girl!

Delilah7 · 01/11/2018 21:08

@Crossfitgirl sorry you're feeling low my darling. This journey is tough. No idea. I'd love either. My OH would secretly love a baby girl more I think but as long as they're healthy I do not care! Here's my chart. We hardly have done anything this month guys it's been awful. But luckily for me my body shows with pains and EWCM so I timed it perfect I guess xxx
Sorry colours look different it's in pregnancy mode now! 😂

@Crossfitgirl I totally feel you with the emotions. Monday I was a MESS. I cried in Costa on my own because I ordered the wrong thing...literally ran to the car and cried some more. I just couldn't shift this huge cloud over my day. Came home cried to hubby about costa-gate, had an early night and felt like a new woman the next morning...then AF turned up in full swing!!

What is life?!! Being a woman is HARD!

Crossfitgirl · 01/11/2018 21:19

@sullywifey that is exactly how I feel! Bloody AF, I tried so hard with DTD this month too! Meh... I bet she comes tomorrow now. I really thought it would be my month, now I'm certain it's not. Ah well.

Thank you @delilah7, at least I can enjoy your news instead! and your chart looks bare! You must have super eggs and super sperm! What cd do you think you ovulated? Are the white spots on the chart CM? Maybe relaxing really is the way forward!

Xxx

rj995 · 01/11/2018 21:28

@SullyWifey sorry to hear about your emotions being all over the place, you really did give me a laugh with 'Costa-gate' tho! Hope you are feeling a little more positive today.

@Crossfitgirl sorry AF is on her way hun, onwards and upwards to the next cycle!! bought myself some conceive plus for this cycle, looking forward to giving it a go! will remember to use it sparingly to avoid slipping off the bed😂

rj995 · 01/11/2018 21:30

Also a very TMI question for all you lovely ladies, do you stay lying down after sex or pee right away? I always get up but feel all the valuable swimmers won't be swimming in the right direction😂 am I being ridiculous?

Emmalouise5688 · 01/11/2018 21:31

Is it ok if I join ladies feeling massively deflated today. Got a faint bfp on Sat at 9po so I thought wait until AF is due which would be 2mz to do a digital bloody AF decided to rock up today. Felt bloody awful telling hubby that im not pregnant on this cycle. Have you guys any tips?

SullyWifey · 01/11/2018 21:48

@rj995 I try and stay laying down as much as possible, if we DTD before bed I try not to get up till the morning!

Think it is meant to help, even if you lay there for 10 mins xx

@Emmalouise5688 sorry to hear that. It is super hard and doesn't get easier, but you just gotta keep going. Have your low moments but just remember to pick yourself back up and know you get a whole new chance every month. Just start again and keep going till you get your bubba :) xx

Crossfitgirl · 01/11/2018 22:12

@emmalouise5688 sorry to hear that, what test did you use? Have you tested again? Some people can bleed whilst pg, although not to get your hopes up as it is unlikely I guess, I will probably be joining you with AF tomorrow, just think about the new cycle ahead as your next chance :-)

@rj995 I usually get up straight away to pee, and it all gooes out lol. I have started trying to lay down for a bit after, but only if we're already in bed and I happen to finish at the bottom lol. I read up on it - the semen is viscous when it first comes out, which helps it stay up there near your cervix, then it liquefies after 10 mins or so to help the spermies swim to the egg.
In theory laying down uses gravity to help the sperm along, but there's actually no evidence showing laying down after helps.

I'm sure someone who got their BFP on this thread said she had got straight up after sex both times that cycle for a shower! So don't think it matters but there's also no harm in lying down if you got time.

I am usually too busy to laze around after doing nothing haha x

Crossfitgirl · 01/11/2018 22:13

@charm23 girl it is! Got any name ideas? Xxx

MrsR16 · 01/11/2018 22:29

Ooh I love talking baby names! 😊 I don't think I'd be able to settle on a name until I see them though... plus I'd made it extra hard and not want to know if I'd be having a boy or girl!

Charm23 · 01/11/2018 22:30

@rj995 If it was fertile week I always laid down for a while after (10-20min? sometimes more if I found a particularly good MN thread to read!) If not, I tended to get up and pee because I hate getting gooey and wet!

@Crossfitgirl I've been thinking of baby names since I was a teenager so yeah I have a few ideas!! Shame that some of my favourites have gotten really popular so I dunno if I'll use them - Olivia and Amelia. For a boy I like Sebastian and Theo (but hate Theodore!) Anyone have issues with their DH sucking at coming up with names? Mine is useless. He came up with bloody Josephine (sorry if this is any ones name) which quickly got shot down and now he says he can't think of any so I told him to go through the email list at work lol!

MrsR16 · 01/11/2018 22:33

@Charm23 lol! I used to work at a hospital and would go through my list of patients for the day (sometimes over 120!) and go "ooh, that's a good name" or "oh no that's awful!" Lol 😊

MrsM2017 · 01/11/2018 22:36

So sorry for not keeping up on the other thread ladies - it all gets a bit overwhelming lol 💕
And sorry to have missed some lovely good news - massive congratulations!!! @delilah7 👶

Cd 20 for me - we bd (hopefully!) at the right times this month (according to flo app) so keeping everything crossed. Period due in 6-8 days so we'll see ...
On another not hubby has his date for sperm analysis come through and confirmed by letter, so hopefully after 18months of trying with nothing we may start to get some answers 🙂

How's everyone else feeling and getting on? 💕

Charm23 · 01/11/2018 22:36

@MrsR16 That's a good idea! Did you find any you really liked?

Emmalouise5688 · 01/11/2018 22:37

Thank you for all the positive vibes ladies just what I needed. I tested with a FRER. Hopefully once AF has buggered off its all systems go again x

BuffaloCauliflower · 01/11/2018 22:37

We’ve already got our girl and boy names, we’ve been talking about them for a while!

I’ll definitely be lying down after sex! Even if it’s only theory not science, it FEELS like it’ll help Grin

BuffaloCauliflower · 01/11/2018 22:39

Oh and what’s the deal with FRERs? I thought it was First Response but then I saw something about dents?

rj995 · 01/11/2018 22:41

@Emmalouise5688 sorry to hear about AF! Telling your DH must have been so upsetting but just talking as much as you can about things will hopefully help you both get through it and to prepare for the next cycle🤞🏼

@Crossfitgirl you're like google for conception questions lol I love it.

@Charm23 I'm with you on that I hate feeling all yuck before going to sleep!

BFP's, baby names & Christmas talk... this threat is filled with all my favourite things!

MrsR16 · 01/11/2018 22:41

@Charm23 a few, but none that made me go OMG I have to have that name for my child! Haha! I know my DH loves the name Ethan for a boy and it's slowly growing on me... I love Niamh for a girl, but my eldest sister would kill me haha! 😂

mrsof20118 · 01/11/2018 22:44

@rj995 I'm sure I read somewhere about they recommend ivf persons to lay down so maybe some truth in it.

Charm23 · 01/11/2018 22:49

@MrsR16 I like Ethan! Why can't my DH come up with nice names like that? not bloody Jospehine Niamh is nice but not one I'd personally go for. Is that the name your sister has bagged for her DD?

Talking of siblings, my DB and SIL have been unsuccessful in TTC for 3 years and I'm worried they will hate me and I'll ruin their Christmas if I tell them... What would you ladies do?

Honeyspice · 01/11/2018 22:50

@rj995 I usually get up to pee, but as of recent I’ve stayed laying flat with hips raised lol...

cupcakesandglitter · 01/11/2018 22:53

I have all my names picked 😬 and I've been told by several people that I'm having three, and that my first will be a girl - I have a gut feeling that it will be too!

I get UTIs sooo fast so it's difficult for me to not run and pee and just lie there. Thankyou to whoever put that thing about the liquefying, I'm now going to make sure I lie down!! When I was TTC last year there was a lady at work who got pg first time, and said all she did was keep her legs in the air 😂😂 do I start doing that again.... 🤔

MrsR16 · 01/11/2018 22:57

@Charm23 yeah, I wasn't sold on Ethan when he first said about it, but as time's gone on, I like it more and more! Haha!

My sister won't be having any more - she's got 2 boys and they're quite enough of a handful! One's 10 in January and the other's nearly 8 haha 😊 when I have a baby, it'll be my parents' 10th grandchild! My DH's parents have no grandchildren though and they're desperate for one!
