MeghanV07 · 31/10/2018 08:43

Thought I'd start a thread for TTC Baby no.2 as I can't find any active ones 😔.

I'll start -

CD1 - Af showed her ugly face today.
Cycle 2 of TTC after a miscarriage in September 😔.
I have a DS who is one on Saturday, so the mix or emotions from that, the fact I'm not pregnant & AF is a little over whelming this week 😂

Hope to have some lovelies join ❤️

Hiya,

Jumping on too! I'm so sorry for your loss.

Age: 34
TTC No. 2, DS is 20 months
On cycle no. 3, not looking hopeful this month as I'm ovulating today but DH is a bit sore after a little injury 😔

Fingers crossed for you! X

mumofone25 · 31/10/2018 10:55

Hi Smile i’ll Jump in aswell. So sorry for your loss.

Age 30
DD is 6 TTC #2
Cycle 1. Using flo and OPK’s. Did the first one this morning and have a line so will retest later and hope for a positive!

MeghanV07 · 31/10/2018 13:42

Hey ladies ❤️

Meant to say I'm 28!

Thank you both! I'm finally feeling 'ok' about it.

@onename Oh no! Hope he's okay?

@mumofone25 I've been temping using OC (ovulation calendar app it's brilliant) and been using fertility friend. I wish I could use opk's but I get so worried about missing a surge. I'm sure I haven't ovulated since my mc anyway 😔 xx

Beckie1987 · 31/10/2018 21:08

Hi jumping on the band wagon too...

Age: 31
DD is 11 months
I had a MC too in August, fell pregnant by accident and lost it 2 weeks later. Was gonna start trying in September anyway.

First month trying again and I'm 9DPO driving myself insane waiting, already had a BFN yesterday so holding out now

MeghanV07 · 01/11/2018 06:21

Hey @Beckie1987 ❤️

Aw I'm sorry hun 😔. It's very crap isn't it. Same happened with us, was by accident & I miscarried 2 weeks after too. Some say it's a test to see if you want more babies and it's obviously worked with us hasn't it!

When is AF due?

AF arrived full force this morning for me, so into cycle 2 after MC. This will be my 4th pregnancy but I only have 1 DS & each time I've fallen pregnant in the 1st month so found last month very hard. We spend our whole teenage years avoiding pregnancy and then when we actually want a baby it's bloody hard work!

How does everyone chart ovulation? Xxx

OP posts:
Beckie1987 · 01/11/2018 07:08

Yes @MeghanV07 it's not very nice at all, it's one of those things you think happen to other people until it happens to you but I'm fine about it now. What I read online is that early MC are usually due to chromosome anomalies with the sperm or egg so your body rejects it. So in a way its a good thing...

AF due Monday, feeling a little bit sickly (but could be imagining things 😂) so I'm dying to do a test but gonna wait my husband works away and is Home Friday night so probably do one Saturday morning

Beckie1987 · 01/11/2018 07:09

Charting ovulation through the ovia app and ovulation sticks (cheap amazon ones)

MeghanV07 · 01/11/2018 07:19

@Beckie1987 I read the same! My husband made a good point of saying it was our bodies way of saying this baby wasn't right so we didn't have to make that decision at say our 20 week scan.

Aaaahhhh! Exciting 🙊 I'm an awful
Symptom spotter 😂😂. Only 2 more sleeps till you can test!

I've been using fertility friend and taking my temperature each morning. I used to do opk's when we were trying for my DS, but now I'm
absolutely convinced that I'm not ovulating I can't bring myself to do opk's xx

OP posts:
onename · 01/11/2018 16:07

@MeghanV07 I've been using 2 apps, fertility friend and Flo, although I've noticed recently that FF have restricted a lot more of the functionality to paying members and I don't know whether to upgrade or not!

I have a stupid question to all; DS was a happy surprise so I never really tracked ovulation before... when do you guys DTD when using OPKs? Should I concentrate my efforts during the days after I get the positive? Or the days before? I know it's probably a stupid question!! 🙈

Beckie1987 · 01/11/2018 20:09

@MeghanV07 a bit of both really. Your fertile days are about 2 days before and 2 days after you get your positive. When you get the positive on the sticks it means you'll ovulate in about 24 hours and the egg survives for about 24 hours after. That's my understanding anyway!

MeghanV07 · 01/11/2018 21:46

@onename with DS, when I got a positive OPK, we DTD for the next two days. I think you can ovulate anytime within 36 hours of a positive OPK? I'm sure that's what I've read somewhere. Then we skipped a day and DTD one final time for luck 😂 & I fell pregnant that month.

Xx

mumofone25 · 02/11/2018 12:07

On TTW now. Not got a good feeling about this month. Ovulated on the 31st. First time using OPKs. Time will tell I suppose.

Beckie1987 · 02/11/2018 13:42

AF has arrived this morning 😑 definitely must have imagined pregnancy symptoms. Had my husband convinced too 😂 he must think I'm losing the plot 🙈 o well a LARGE glass of wine for me tonight. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that. Roll on next month it is only our first month of ttc again I am too impatient 🙄. Sending positive thoughts to everyone else 🙏🙏

MeghanV07 · 03/11/2018 15:29

I almost find the TWW worse than AF arriving @mumofone25 it's such a long chug it's horrid. Keep us updated on how you are ❣️

@Beckie1987oh rubbish 😔 at least it's another fresh month of you.

It's my DS's 1st Birthday today and I'm questioning everything 😖 do I want another baby? Is now the right time etc? I don't know if it's because Af arrived Thursday & I just feel crap I'm not pregnant & I'm trying to hide how I actually feel, or if it's actually how I feel?

Can I join?

I’m 33. DS is 3 (4 in the new year).
First month TTC. I’m on CD 21. Keep feeling slight pulling/twinges around my pelvic area but I suspect I am just hyper aware of every little thing now.

doomkittycleo · 03/11/2018 20:40

Hi all can I join too? I’m 31 DD was 1 at the end of September.

DD was conceived with the help of clomid after 2 years of TTC naturally. When TTC DD I had all the usual signs of ovulation (regular cycles, bbt shift, ewcm, +ve opks), but the Dr said I wasn’t ovulating on my own (after a hycosy and x2 lots of day 21 progesterone tests).

Af returned at 5 months PP despite exclusively BF, but we’ve been DTD regularly without BC and not gotten pregnant yet.

I stopped breastfeeding mid September, just before DD’s birthday and had a normal cycle that month ending on 9/10/18.

I’m now on CD26, which by my estimates is 12DPO. I had a very brief amount of pink/brown spotting at 10DPO, literally a tiny patch on a panty liner and when I wiped.

This only lasted about an hour or 2 and I’ve had no more bleeding since. Got some slight af type cramps today.

Does anyone think this could be IB or is it more likely just my hormones settling down after stopping BF?

I really hope we don’t need to use clomid again this time, I am quite anxious by nature, but 2 years for me was so stressful.

MummaGiles · 04/11/2018 09:39

@doomkittycleo that all sounds promising for you. Fingers crossed you’ve got a little bean in there.

Yesterday evening I could feel a lot of pulling/stretching around my c section scar. Trying not to get ahead of myself though because this is our first month of trying and we actually made the decision to try half way through my fertile window so it would be incredible if we managed to conceive this month!

MeghanV07 · 04/11/2018 09:55

Yes of course ladies ❤️

Welcome @MummaGiles & @doomkittycleo ❤️

MummaGiles - I was like that. Kept thinking my left ovary was pulsing and now I'm even thinking it does it during AF. Symptom spotting is so hard not to do isn't it!

Doomkittycleo - I had implantation bleeding with my DS at 10DPO & got my BFP on 11DPO! Fingers crossed its positive signs or at least your body getting back to 'normal'

Xxx

doomkittycleo · 04/11/2018 09:58

Thanks @Mummagiles I hope so, but scared to get my hopes up.

That would be amazing if you caught the first month of trying. I can’t help being a bit jealous of those who got pregnant quickly.

TTC for years is soul destroying, especially when you are young, healthy, have your ideal BMI and eat well. With DD I was really shocked when they said I wasn’t ovulating after tracking cycles for nearly 2 years.

MummaGiles · 04/11/2018 10:14

@doomkittycleo it took us 5 months with DS so I’m not expecting it to be instant especially as I’m older now but I know I am very lucky not to have had any real problems so far.

MummaGiles · 04/11/2018 20:57

How’s everyone doing today? Aside from being pretty irritable today I’ve had no symptoms at all. The pulling/cramping of the last few days seems to have stopped. I expect to see AF next weekend.

doomkittycleo · 04/11/2018 21:28

@Mummagiles I tested today and BFN, I estimate I’m 13dpo, no af yet, but have had twinges on and off and am very moody.

Expecting to see af any day now 😢.

MummaGiles · 04/11/2018 21:32

@doomkittycleo rubbish 😔 I’m sorry. I’m not due AF for another week but I’m sure it’s on its way.

closedcircuit · 04/11/2018 23:53

Hello ladies. I'm 24 have DD who's 3 and TTC for 6 cycles.
Currently on CD2 feeling impatient. Just want the time to move on.

@doomkittycleo so sorry this cycle doesnt seem to be working out for you. Its really disappointing. Maybe its just a bit too early yet?

@MummaGiles sometimes no news is good news! I remember getting AF symptoms a week before my period and then absolutely nothing close to and when it was due.

@MeghanV07 i know exactly how you feel. I often wonder if its the right time to have another one making excuses like im a crap mum as it is, my DD will have less attention when she's becoming more emotionally needy and how i wont be able to handle it 2 at the same time etc etc. But i know truly DD would make an amazing big sister she wants to be around babies all the time im not as rubbish as i like to think i am. And people get on with it and im fortunate to be in the position i am in. DH & I really want more kids so its a lot of positive thinking that has to go into this process but its not easy at all.
I hope you're okay and youre feeling better. Take a night off, put your feet up and kniw whatever you decide for now is right for you.

Hazandduck · 05/11/2018 00:13

Hi ladies, please may I join?

I’m 29, TTC number 2. We have a DD who will be one in just two weeks time and I feel so emotional about my baby growing up so fast!

We’ve decided to start trying for no 2 now, however I’m not holding out much hope. DD is still breastfeeding and my periods haven’t returned so I have no idea if I’m ovulating but I don’t feel like I am at all! Does anyone have any experience of this? Can you even track your cycle if you’ve not had a period?

Sorry to read about the losses :( I had two MCs before DD and the fear is already coming back and I’m not even pregnant yet!
