Thought I'd start a thread for TTC Baby no.2 as I can't find any active ones 😔.

I'll start -

CD1 - Af showed her ugly face today.
Cycle 2 of TTC after a miscarriage in September 😔.
I have a DS who is one on Saturday, so the mix or emotions from that, the fact I'm not pregnant & AF is a little over whelming this week 😂

Hope to have some lovelies join ❤️

Congratulations @meghanv07! Yes I would contact midwife or early pregnancy unit, you may well be eligible for reassurance scan due to your previous loss. Wishing you all the luck with this pregnancy.

Sorry you feel that way @kaye. It's a really difficult process and it's so hard not to get hopes up. I'm already feeling down about this cycle and I haven't even ovulated yet!

MummaGiles · 04/12/2018 19:38

@meghanv07 congratulations!

MummaGiles · 04/12/2018 21:12

You inspired me to pee on a stick after feeling strange, tired and crampy today, 9 dpo. Pretty shocked to see a faint but definite line. Going to test again in a day or two to be sure.

Morwenna1 · 04/12/2018 21:42

Congratulations @Meghan! Hope everything goes well for you :) :) nice to hear some (literally!) positive news!

Fingers crossed @MummaGiles sounds like you might be growing a little bean in there too!

It's so hard @Kaye. I have practically convinced myself that I'm pregnant a couple of times only to work out it was AF lurking in the background...trying to focus on other things and distract myself as I know the more stressed I get the less likely it is to happen. Easier said than done!

Keep seeing families with two children and colleagues keep asking if we're planning another...groan

Beckie1987 · 05/12/2018 12:09

Congratulations @MeghanV07 🙌🙌 try not to worry too much about it (easier said than done I know) it's fantastic news

@MummaGiles a line is a line no matter how faint that sounds like a positive to me!

Moncwf · 05/12/2018 20:21

Congratulations mumma! 9dpo is early for a line, it'll get stronger. With my son I got a negative at 10dpo and had a load to drink 🙈 didn't get a positive until 13DPO

MummaGiles · 06/12/2018 09:39

Thanks. I did another test this morning and it was positive. Wanted to be certain as have a work Christmas party at the end of the week 🙈 not sure how I’m going to navigate that but it’s a nice problem to have

MeghanV07 · 10/12/2018 12:09

Massive congratulations @MummaGiles ❤️how are you feeling?

OP posts:
MummaGiles · 10/12/2018 12:23

Thanks @MeghanV07 I’m feeling ok, pretty crampy (had forgotten that from last time round) but when that eases I’m not too bad. How are you feeling?

MeghanV07 · 10/12/2018 13:07

@MummaGiles same 😩 I've got slight nausea too which keeps coming and going. With my DS, I had nausea everyday from 5 weeks and because it's not like that this time round I'm just so worried im going to miscarry again. Just can't see this pregnancy really happening xx

OP posts:
MummaGiles · 10/12/2018 14:00

@MeghanV07 I can understand why you’re anxious but all pregnancies are different so try not to worry. My nausea came and went last time around. Maybe you just won’t have it as bad this time! How far along are you now?

MeghanV07 · 10/12/2018 14:04

@MummaGiles I hope so 🤞🏼 I can't deal with sickness and a toddler at the same time 😂 but I shouldn't complain if I do get it bad. I'm 5+4, how many weeks are you? Tempted to book an early scan for Saturday just for a slight bit of reassurance xxx

MummaGiles · 10/12/2018 14:06

I’m a way behind you. Just 4+1!

doomkittycleo · 13/12/2018 12:28

Hi all, af is due tomorrow and I’m fairly sure she’s on her way. I had some pain during BD on 8DPO, it felt like my cervix was really low. I put up with it at first, but it got so bad that I started to feel faint so we had to stop.

Afterwards I lay down for a minute then “sorry for TMI” I got the urge to go for a poo. It was a normal poo, but there was a bit of gas behind it.

From googling the symptoms it looks like I might have had an ovarian cyst (which is apparently fairly common after weaning from breastfeeding). Which means I likely geared up to ovulate, but didn’t.

I’ve read that some large ovarian cysts can put pressure on the bowel, so perhaps thats what happened.

I feel much better today now af is due and I’ve had some ewcm today (which I used to get before af before having my DD, so pretty sure it’s my usual sign of af impending).

Hopefully next month I might actually ovulate. Shame, as we BD’d so much this month.

MummaGiles · 13/12/2018 18:45

@doomkittycleo that sounds painful! Hopefully your cycle settles down and you ovulate next time round. You never know, maybe AF won’t actually show.

Moncwf · 20/12/2018 21:45

@doomkittycleo sorry to hear that. Is it worth a trip to the GP to get it investigated?

Just to let you know I got my bfp this week. Bit surprised as was expecting it to take longer this time!

doomkittycleo · 20/12/2018 22:46

@Mummagiles, af showed the day after that message and has been on and off for a week now. Keep thinking it’s stopping, then it starts again.

I’ve already spoken to GP over fertility issues with DD and he said give it till February to let my cycles settle down, then go back and they’ll do checks to see if I’m ovulating if I don’t conceive by then.

Haven’t tried to BD since then, so going to wait till af stops and try again, if it hurts again I’ll book an appointment with the GP.

From all my googling if it is an ovarian cyst they would normally do a watch and wait for 2-3 months anyway to see if it goes away on its own before doing anything further.

I don’t want to rush to get investigations prematurely as chances are it’s more than likely related to weaning.

doomkittycleo · 20/12/2018 22:49

@moncwf congratulations btw

MeghanV07 · 22/12/2018 19:55

Sorry for the radio silence ladies. Sickness took over my life 🤮. I've had some bleeding today I'm 7+2 and had my miscarriage in September at 7+3 so I am really really worried.

I have booked myself in for a private scan tomorrow at 9am to see what's going on. Even if it is bad news, at least I will have a picture of my baby ❤️

OP posts:
MummaGiles · 31/12/2018 18:14

MeghanV07 how did your scan go? Sorry, I’ve only just seen your last post from before Christmas

MeghanV07 · 31/12/2018 20:42

@MummaGiles scan went well thank you. They couldn't find any reason for the bleed & baby had a good heartbeat. I was 7+4 but measured 7weeks so trying not to stress about that and stick to my dates as if their dates are correct, my husband has super sperm that can last for 10 days 😂. How are you? Xx

OP posts:
MummaGiles · 31/12/2018 20:45

Oh that’s good news. I’m 7+1 today on LMP dates but I might be a day or two ahead of that based on when I think I ovulated. Symptoms aren’t as bad as they were a couple of weeks ago, which I should be grateful for but it just makes me anxious that something is amiss. It feels a long way to the 12 week scan. I had an early scan last time round because I had pain on one side so they checked for a potential ectopic.

Kaye03 · 02/01/2019 15:44

I took preg test, got bfp. Cant believe it!
