Ah I see @Carastarchild. I suppose tomorrow will confirm either way? When is your period due?

Oh right thanks maybe I will ovulate early this cycle. Due to ovulate a week from now.

LondonKez · 16/02/2019 21:25

@carastarchild Apparently only 20% of bfp bbt charts ever show an implantation dip, and triphasic charts are also rare and don't become triphasic until the end of your regular LP, some don't at all. That's why a lot of people suggest that you stop temping after a bfp. It can cause unnecessary anxiety, so don't be too disheartened x

Fingers crossed for imminent ovulation @chikitiki xx

ChikiTIKI · 16/02/2019 21:38

Thanks @LondonKez :)

I have been feeling tempted to take a pregnancy test today. I suppose I am so uncertain with my cycles being all over the place and my last two periods being only 3 days I kind of want to be sure...

I won't though. Even if I took one and never told anyone, I would still feel embarrassed because I KNOW it will be negative before even doing it! :)

LondonKez · 17/02/2019 10:55

Awww @chikitiki don't feel embarrassed! I did one a few cycles go when I had a few days of spotting rather than a full flow period. It put my mind at rest if anything x

I'm CD9 and normally have really painful boobs and on/off cramping from about CD6. I've had a tiny bit of cramping, but boobs feel completely fine. Not even a hint of sensitivity! Need to stop symptom spotting asap! It only ever leads to disappointment 😂

PineappleC · 17/02/2019 11:07

Thanks so much all for your support, so nice to be able to chat about these things 😊

@Cara yeah that would really irritate me, and it's so hard to bite your tongue!

@Laura the "relax" thing is probably the worst comment! Feels really judgy and patronising, and it's like "Oh yeah I hadn't thought of that already, thanks"!

AF still not here and it's cd27. Pretty sure I'm not pregnant as just feeling dull AF symptoms atm, nothing unusual, and last time I stopped the pill it was a few days late too. Just feeling a "build up" of hormones so looking forward to AF!!

Sorry that everyone's feeling a little bit down at the moment. I really hope those waiting for AF/BFP imminently have some good news in the next couple of days 😊x

ChikiTIKI · 17/02/2019 13:06

Thanks @LondonKez :)

Yeah symptom spotting is like dancing around the edge of a black hole. When will I learn its best to stay away lol. My boobs have been feeling big and sore. I just feel different... I dunno... Still getting cramps too.

I won't test though. But if I do, I will report back the result :)

Carastarchild · 17/02/2019 13:41

Hi ladies... I used a cbfm test and it said not pregnant yesterday morning... I cried my eyes out... I don't know where it came from but I couldn't stop... I felt so much better afterwards. I think I was bottling everything up inside trying to be strong, but although I am strong, I am also tired.

My temp went up a bit this morning, so I used the cbfm again. I honestly can say I really love it when I am testing for ovulation but not for pregnancy...it sucks. I thought the line went stronger, so I vowed never to uses the machine again for testing for hcg. I got my DH to buy some frer's and that's what I will be sticking to going forward.

I doubt I am pregnant, but I will know for sure in the morning 🤞

@chikitiki that must be so frustrating... I can honestly say I detest being in limbo land and I have been there many times. Sending you a virtual hug ✨💜✨

@BlS I hope at this stage you have gotten a fabulously strong line!! Please do share. I am absolutely delighted for you 🤗

Thank you so much @Londonkez. There are pros and cons to charting. I just think the cons are definitely that I personally get too emotionally involved with the rise and fall of the chart. Lesson learnt...what will be will be I guess. How are you feeling?

Carastarchild · 17/02/2019 13:58

I saw this online and thought it was interesting.

I'm sorry you were so upset @Carastarchild it really is an emotional roller coaster isn't it? Good to see your temp going back up. I think I might see something on the bottom test too...!

Interesting about the blood colour. In the first of my weird short cycles the bleeding was very orange whereas usually I have very dark red blood xxxx

Carastarchild · 17/02/2019 16:05

I couldn't resist 🙈 I don't know why I simply could not wait until morning, but yep I poas. DH said he can see a faint line...we totally are not getting our hopes up as it's so faint. Saying that I had quiet watery pee...I hope it's not an evap or chemical pregnancy.

@cara (which by the way is my real name...I always laugh when I write to you!) totally understand why you’d test. Sometimes it’s just hard to always be waiting, then hopeful, then hopeless, and then a bit more waiting... I’m honestly not sure if I see a line or not, but I’m rooting for you!

Likewise @Chiki after everything you’ve been through...🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Also know what you mean about SS... I’ve managed to stop myself from symptom spotting until 9/10 dpo now, knowing more about how fertilisation actually works has helped. I’m sure I felt pre menstrual yesterday, then last night had debilitating trapped wind so I obviously sat up until midnight googling that as an early pregnancy symptom!

Where abouts are you in your cycle?

LauraPalmersBodybag · 17/02/2019 16:25

Oh also - to those who are temping...is it worth it? I’m currently using CB advanced ovulation sticks, but wondering if I should switch.

Carastarchild · 17/02/2019 16:49

Well ain't that funny 😂 My real name is Laura 😊 Cara is what I want to call a little girl if I have one 🤞🏻

I just took another pic using my husband's phone. Don't know if you can see it better

Laurapalm I just think that cheap lh sticks are brill, but the cbfm actually tells you when you get an estrogen surge, which then results in the LH surge. Also, I knew by my chart the exact day I ovulated. In addition, if my temp had of gone down this morning I would have known that I was totally going to get AF, so no wasting money on tests.

Chiki I don't think orange blood is actually af, but a sign that af is finishing. Is it bright orange, or more a rusty orange more on the side of a brown colour?

LondonKez · 17/02/2019 17:43

I see a shadow of a line @carastarchild! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I'm the same @LauraPalmersBodybag, I normally have restraint until about 9dpo (today!).

I chart and it does stop me testing unnecessarily, but I think it's up to you. I only just started back on OPKs, but I always struggled getting a positive. Charting let's me know I did ovulate, but it is retrospective x

PineappleC · 17/02/2019 18:02

@cara I definitely see a faint line!! Hope tomorrow's is nice and strong😁🤞🤞

Carastarchild · 17/02/2019 18:16

Thanks ladies 😘

Faint lines scare me as the last time I had one it ended up being a chemical pregnancy. It's a little bit darker to the naked eye, but most definitely faint.

@london I use the cheap opks from poundland and I find they work perfectly. See pic of my ones from this month x

@Carastarchild I can see a shadowy line there!! It is faint so probably easier to see in real life if it has some colour to it. Are you going to test again in the morning? Or temp then test?

@LauraPalmersBodybag I am on CD 12 but since my period only lasted 3 days and came after a 13 day cycle I wanted to test. It was the cramps that made me wonder really.... I am probably going to ovulate end of next week. This month may be a write off though as my husband is a bit sore... I will say no more on that issue! Hoping it goes away ASAP so we can DTD this week.

@Carastarchild not last time I was bleeding but the time before was quite orange, light and very ewcm-ish. That was after a 16 day cycle and I think maybe was extreme ovulation bleeding?!

ChikiTIKI · 17/02/2019 18:45

No idea why that was all in bold font

LauraPalmersBodybag · 17/02/2019 18:52

@cara how funny!! It’s a great name 😂

I see a faint line in that last photo. I’m crossing everything for you 🤞🏻

Thanks for the info @Londonkezi started out using ic opks but I found them hard to interpret so moved onto the CB ones. It still only gives you LH info though, you’re right, so maybe temping would be useful. I usually feel myself ovulate so I’m hopeful that it’s actually though I’m unsure of what the pain means re:exact timings. Have got another round of CB opks so I’ll see after that.

Went for a run this morning then came home, cried in front of my mil then sobbed in the shower, all because of a few cramps!

@CHIKItiki it’s sometimes bloody impossible. I have a new relationship to my body - I think and feel everything in the 2ww, and then go back to feeling strange that I’m not watching myself constantly.

Baby dust y’all. We’ll get there xxxx

Carastarchild · 17/02/2019 22:02

Hi ladies,

I'm after taking a cyclogest tonight, so that I can see in the morning of the line is stronger or not. If I get a stronger line tomorrow morning, I will have to continue the cyclogest until 16 weeks. I'm going to temp as normal in the morning and take a test with fmu.

Literally as I said a few days ago,...ttc is a rollercoaster of each...I hope you feel better now after letting it all out @laurapalmer. Sending you a virtual hug ✨💜✨

@londonkez how is your chart? I'd love to see it...10 dpo tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 exciting stuff ✨✨✨✨✨

@pineapple when are you going to test? Do you know when you ovulated?

@chikitiki I hope you get some clarity soon. Temping would help you find out if you were in the follicular phase or the luteal phase. Temps are higher in the luteal phase.
