@FlapJackered temp dipped today. No AF yet, but likely coming soon.

Morning!

Temperature increase yesterday and today after a drop on Thurs , so think I did O then. We dtd wed and Thurs so fingers crossed.

Looks like a few of us in the tww now. My app thinks I'm due on next Friday but I Od later than usual so dont know if that's going to change.

@charm23 I use Ovia and the fertile week prediction isn't very accurate imo I used it for ages before using the opk and was suprised how out it was by about a week - it is a good tool just for tracking af dates, but better to get to know your body or opk I think :) fingers crossed you've nailed it this month after all your efforts !!

@flapjackered temping must be so hard to keep to but easier if it in a regular routine ? I never get up the same time any 2 days haha!

I'm on a late shift today finish at 11, going to do a opk about 2pm and maybe one when I finish work as not got a positive yet... so well see I'll post a pic soon of my million opks see what you girls think :/

@Welshpugmomma agree about Ovia. Very handy for keeping track but it doesn't necessarily get fertile dates correct. Does update though with OPK data being reflected.

Hi Everyone! I'm back off holiday (AF came halfway through, great...)

@ProseccoBee congratulations!

Am on Cycle 2 and CD10 so going to hopefully DTD tonight and try and up my game this month. Cycle has ranged from 25-33 days (last one was 26 days) so haven't got a clue when my fertile week will be! Hence just trying to DTD more in the next 2 weeks than we usually would. We have pre-seed too.

I'm trying to do OPKs each day again (started yesterday) so can see what's going on there. I saw people further back in the thread suggesting to do them after work (so 6pm-ish for me)? Which works for me, as doing them at work was awkward! Or should I do them twice a day? I have a bunch of the cheap ones so won't run out!

@starkid I do mine late afternoon if I'm working from home or when i get home from work 6pm ish if been in the office.

@FivexFive tricky one, I think it depends on how disappointed you would be with an early bfn. I personally prefer af or a temp drop to tell me I am out rather than a bfn. So this cycle going to try not to test early! It's so hard though!

@Charm23 yay! I love having a cycle buddy as it stops me testing too early!

@Welshpugmomma shifts are tricky! I don't actually wake up the same time each day so my temps aren't completely smooth but the temp increase after ovulation is so big that a few hours don't make a difference.

@FlapJackered you do well to try to avoid early testing! I swore I wouldn't last month but still did, doh.

Due on 27th according to my app. Would make a shorter luteal phase though so thinking that may not be right. Any thoughts?

@Welshpugmomma Really? Well that sucks. I suppose with me not knowing when I ovulate it could have been very inaccurate all this time and I've never noticed! I may have to try a different app - any recommendations anyone? I mainly use it to track AF, when we DTD and to guess at my fertile week. I feel like trying to track temp, symptoms, CM, etc. will stress me out with trying to remember it all and it's so much easy to just have loads of sex haha

@FlapJackered I find the best way to stop me testing is to simply not have any tests in the house. When I first started TTC I had a bunch in the bathroom cupboard and let's just say that after 2 cycles I had none left! I usually wait until AF is at least a couple days past my average but this cycle I'll be away for a long weekend with DH so will either test on 1st Nov or when we get back on 5th Nov. When do you usually test? I'll try to keep you on track!

@MrsR16 I'm the same even though I've only just ovulated this week.... have only DTD twice this week but not really in the mood, neither is OH. well his MRI is Tuesday so maybe a month or so? I have no idea how it works... guess it depends what the scan shows. So scared x x

@Delilah7 hope your Dad gets on ok. They are usually fairly quick with getting the results back and booking in for follow ups. My Mum had a brain tumour last year and after the scans they were so quick at getting her back in and working everything out, booking op etc. Keep positive.

@Delilah7 oh hun, don't be scared! I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers (others might not believe or think it helps, but I do) and wish everything works out hun! Xx

She's doing great now thanks @Delilah7. The doctors can do amazing work, 11 hour op to remove the huge tumour and a new eye socket constructed, took a while to recover but she's done amazing. It is amazing how far medicine and what our doctors and surgeons can do, they work miracles every day.

Keep faith like @MrsR16 said. Being positive and strong helps you and your family so much, as daft as it might sound!

@EltzBee and @Delilah7 it's one of the most difficult things to do, when people are telling you to keep positive but you can't see any possible reason how you can do that! Thoughts are with you!

Will check in properly next couple of days. Stuck in a stuffy hotel room, certain I'm ovulating right now, not home til tomorrow night. Can't breathe through my nose at all, can't sleep, awful cough and a full day ahead of me tomorrow on this work course! Not fun.

@EltzBee I am not that good at not early testing, I wish I was better. As soon as AF is due my willpower normally disappears and testing is all I can think about 😂 I get so sad though each time so this time I am going to try and put it off.

@Charm23 that is a very good idea! I might get DH to hide them this time. I am going to aim for testing on 2nd which would be day after af is due.

@Delilah7 poor you, the wait must be really hard. I am sure if there is anything to worry about they will tell you very soon after the scan. X

@Welshpugmomma How are the opks going? Do you think you're getting any closer to a positive?

Stomach feels so tender. Very strange. Haven't DTD anymore this week but hopefully tonight not that it'll matter now I'm passed ovulation x x
