Yammers thread 9!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night
  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

Haha sameeee @Chooklass my high waisted jeans are button undone! .....casually grabs the leftover chocolate tin

Chooklass · 29/12/2018 21:11

Had to undo top button driving home today!!! Don't think I've ever put on this much belly over xmas before! I'm always bloated with FP too so it's a double whammy!

Just bought an ava fertility bracelet off ebay! Still expensive but not as bad as new. Any of you tried one?

Owlpatrol · 30/12/2018 11:04

No not tried it @Chooklass but intrigued with others responses

I've woke up this morning feeling totally sorry for myself, rich food, long sleeps and general end of year post Christmas doom and gloom. I can barely face going back to work next week, work is totally stressing me out and even my mum said well you've been holding on haven't you? Yes! Yes i have been insert swear word holding on Sad facing another new year without even a hint of a bfp line is so depressing. Dp wanted to dtd last night but we both stayed up late, then laid in this morning and started arguing about money and dog hair. New year's are meant to be a time for fresh starts and fitness plans but all I can think about is how much I didn't achieve in 2018 and put my life on hold waiting for that bfp which never came

Sorry for being a Debbie downer.

Anyone got any inspiring new years resolutions to give me some inspo?

BGDino · 31/12/2018 11:39

Hi everyone, checking in from Down Under where there’s only an hour and 21 minutes of 2018 to go.

Tokyo was an awesome distraction, the week flew by. Came back to Earth with a bump today though. I never celebrate NY anyway, it always just makes me think of all I haven’t got done in the year that’s passed. Just been to the in laws for dinner which never puts me in a good mood (food that’s not my taste + conversation in a language I don’t understand...) then had a massive cry with DH about how shit 2018 has been and how 2019 will probably be just as bad for us. Can’t bring myself to be optimistic.

Chooklass · 31/12/2018 12:19

Hey @BGDino, sorry you've got the glooms Thanks.

Hello YamFam. Sorry so many of you are feeling so shitty. BG I'm particularly thinking of you. Many sympathies. I spent a good amount of last NYE crying on family after a truly miserable year and it took a while til things started looking up. But they did. Optimistic might be a step too far with what you've been through lately but I hope a glimmer comes your way soon.

Anyway thinking of you ladies and wishing you a much brighter 2019.

strawberrye · 31/12/2018 18:46

Sorry to hear you are both feeling down about the new year @BGDino and @owlpatrol. I guess new year at the best of times gets us to reflect on what has been and what might lay ahead, which is obviously really hard when life hasn't worked out as we hoped. I'm also feeling a bit miserable, I naively assumed I would have had a baby or at least be pregnant by the end of 2018 yet I am mourning three losses this year. Not helped by two baby bombs in the last couple of days, argh. Sending hugs and support to you both, 2018 has been shitty but I'm desperately clinging onto the wish that hoping our luck will change in 2019 Flowers

Owlpatrol · 31/12/2018 19:15

@strawberrye thanks chick and hope 2019 brings you a sticky baby bean! Is anyone getting blazing drunk tonight?

Chooklass · 01/01/2019 11:09

Happy 2019 Yam Fam! Hope it brings happiness to all of you!

Very quiet one for me. Just one gin and went to bed after the bells! Feel quite proud I even stayed up 😂.

Owlpatrol · 01/01/2019 12:03

How's everyone getting on? Back to work wasn't has hellish as I thought and I even had a little tiny tiny bit of spotting today to vaguely give me hope I'm still in this cycle despite cramping already

impatientmammy · 02/01/2019 18:36

🤞 fx for you @Owlpatrol what cycle day are you on? X

Owlpatrol · 02/01/2019 18:39

Fx fx @impatientmammy cycle day 21 of normally 29-30 day cycle I'm 6 dpo. I have spotted before this early so trying not to get hopes up. It was so faint I could have missed it if it weren't for nude colour nik naks x

impatientmammy · 02/01/2019 19:28

@Owlpatrol my spotting was an obvious pink rather than red if that means anything. I think everyone is so totally different though. As for the camping I'm still getting it x

Owlpatrol · 02/01/2019 19:30

Aww thanks for letting me know @impatientmammy mine is tinged brownish but not a lot. Did yours last for more than a day?

impatientmammy · 02/01/2019 19:41

Just christmas morning. I've had exactly the same again this morning. I've googled implantation bleeds a lot over the past year though and I think everyone says different things 🤷🏻‍♀️ I know that's really unhelpful. This is a bit tmi but the night before my period was due my cervix was high and firm 🙈 I think it usually comes down just before af but tbh I've only ever checked it a few times x

Owlpatrol · 02/01/2019 20:12

Yeah I've read a lot about implantation bleeding @impatientmammy there's a lot of different experiences and all different times of the cycle so there's no telling. What have your cramps been like? Nothing too tmi here I've never checked my cervix! I'm rather tight down there lol so can't really ever get up there! Hahahaha

impatientmammy · 02/01/2019 21:17

Just like mild af cramps. I'll keep my eyes peeled on here for you x

Chooklass · 02/01/2019 21:38

Ooh, fingers crossed for you @Owlpatrol! I'm only CD7 so just getting on with shagging as much as poss! I'm not back at work until Monday so just enjoying relaxing for a few days now all the festive family stuff is over.
