Yammers thread 9!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night
  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

Oh I've decided to "take December off " mentally from ttcing but I'll still be tracking and dtd but just letting my hair down at the Xmas party and eating what I want if you know what I mean

JustLikeTheySaid · 17/11/2018 17:32

8DPO today and I'm symptom spotting like mad. Back hurts randomly and I'm really low in mood and tired today. Probably just pulled a muscle and had a crap week! Not sure why I torture myself....

Owlpatrol · 18/11/2018 07:55

@JustLikeTheySaid oh I know how you feel symptom spotting drives me crazy why do we do it to ourselves!?

Yammer thread is quiet at the moment how's everyone else doing?

maddiie · 18/11/2018 08:03

Hope everyone's ok!!

Not much to report here, CD33, no sign of AF, temp still rising daily. Was pretty normal before O, rised after and then rised significantly 7dpo and has sky rocketed every day since. Getting higher every day which keeps making me excited that AF is coming and I'll have a normal cycle but no luck yet. I do keep getting cramps but they feel more like stomach cramps than AF ones. Who knows Confused

Forky · 18/11/2018 08:22

Congratulations Limp!

Chooklass · 18/11/2018 09:05

I had one of those really vivid dreams last night where I got a BPF, was so sad when I woke up 😢

@maddiie Your temp rising sounds promising? Have you tested?

I usually ov on CD 12. On CD13 and still negative opks so am either ovulating late this cycle, or not at all. I guess the new vits or acupuncture could have altered things a bit.

@Chooklass I did a test at 9DPO which was a bfn. I'm 16DPO now but avoiding testing as don't want to keep bringing myself down with bfns. I don't have any symptoms or reason to believe I'm pg besides the rising temps. I've all but given up on conceiving without aid I just want AF to come so I can start the clomid that's sitting on my bedside table taunting me!

maddiie · 18/11/2018 13:46

I've had a BFP. Three to be exact. I'm completely and utterly in shock

JustLikeTheySaid · 18/11/2018 14:00

Maddie!! Congrats!!!!

maddiie · 18/11/2018 14:02

@JustLikeTheySaid It doesn't feel real I still don't believe it. Dh sperm test just a few days ago. Starting clomid any day. I want to do a clear blue digi but I'm petrified it'll be negative. Three strong positives though. Holy shit

Chooklass · 18/11/2018 14:34

@maddiie !!!! Awesome news! I somehow had a funny feeling you would from what you were saying about your temps etc. Remember CB digis are less sensitive than pink dye, so even if you get a neg on one of them it might just be because it's too early.

Owlpatrol · 18/11/2018 19:12

@Chooklass not much to report here either, day erm 5 so waiting for the end of af. It's actually been a really heavy af so it's taken it's toll this month. Been treating myself all weekend though Smile

maddiie · 18/11/2018 19:25

@Owlpatrol Thank you!! Sorry you've had a horrible AF.. should be over soon!! Xx

Chooklass · 19/11/2018 09:52

Monday morning baby bomb! Took me by surprise and has left me a bit wobbly. Deep breaths.

ivf2019 · 19/11/2018 10:09

Oh congratulations maddiie! That's such lovely news!

Chooklass sorry about the bomb. Deep breaths indeed, they're always awful but the unexpected ones are the worst. Is it someone you'll have to see a lot of?

Hope everyone had a good weekend?
Feeling really crap today. Had some spotting yesterday that didn't turn into FP so I convinced myself I was pregnant but massive BFN this morning and now I'm annoyed that I got my hopes up.

Pinkemi · 19/11/2018 11:29

omg @maddiie Congrats!!

I also had a baby bomb at the weekend.. and felt annoyed by it.. I honestly don't know why! I think its because the lady is just so.. smug? (Sorry i know i sound like a bad person now.) haha

Anyway I am really happy for you maddiie!

Not a lot to report here.. ive got a horrible cough again.. so am working from home waiting for a doctors appointment.

SparkwoodAnd21 · 19/11/2018 11:40

Congratulations Maddiie!

The ‘congratulations’ upthread for @Limplettice from Forky was actually me. One of my other names.

Also had a baby bomb last week, from a friend who was adamant she didn’t want children. Sent me on a bit of a misery spiral. I’ve got my first acupuncture this week though. Those that have had it, tell me more about it, how was it?

Chooklass · 19/11/2018 12:17

@ivf2019 Yes, I'll see her at work every day! Now I have 3 colleagues due in spring! Fml!

@SparkwoodAnd21 I've only had 2 acupuncture sessions so far but really like it. My first appointment was 1hr, she spent 1st 30 mins chatting about my cycles, health, diet etc then stuck pins in me, then left me to chill out for 20 mins. I had pins in my hands and lower legs, and one between my eyebrows (that's the only one which stung a little). My 2nd appt was 30 mins and she just stuck pins in straight away and left me.

I've always ov'd on day 12 but this month I've just ov'd on day 14. Interested to see how the next 2 wks pan out as she said she was going to focus on stopping my spotting! Annoyingly still not got letter from consultant about progesterone so will have to wait another cycle to start that now (as just to take from ov to fp).

Chooklass urgh feel your pain! There are 4 in my office too, but one is going on Mat Leave tomorrow so at least it'll go down. Wine/chocolate for you tonight?

Spark oh good luck with acupuncture! I loved it and definitely think it helped regulate/shorten my cycles. My experience was similar to Chooklass's, but at certain points in my cycle I also had needles in my lower tummy (just below your knicker line), although most were in legs/feet. If nothing else I found it really relaxing, so hope you enjoy it.

My SIL has just gone into labour so I'll have a nephew in the next few days which is exciting but I'm also now sitting at my desk feeling sorry for myself because I really hoped I might be pregnant by the time she had him.

LimpLettice · 19/11/2018 17:36

I did wonder! Thank you Smile
