Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

Hope you ladies all had a better monday than I seem to have had! just a general nightmare! Very much looking forward to just going home and flopping infont of the tv.

Oh wait.. I have to washing up to do... cleaning up to do... ironing to do... hoovering to do... [confused.] Most of these will have to wait until tomorrow evening i think!

Well into the TWW now. Not feeling particularly hopeful but I'm always a LITTLE bit hopeful....

@Justliketheysaid honestly ive had a bit of a nightmare with my clinic not ordering my progesterone tablets when they said they would.. which meant i had to go in this morning before work to pick some up.. so now feeling VERY tired! But its hopefully all sorted now so trying to stress less! 😂

I say that.. but im trying to organise if i can go to a spa day for a hen party im on in a few weeks time. Anyone been to thermal baths? Just called the spa and they said they are safe for a pregnant lady as the water is cooler than a bath (33.5 degrees) but.. im not allowed to have baths at the moment.. so just not sure what to do! (yeah im talking about this again. Haha)

I hope you're taking it easy missy!! @Pinkemi to be fair I need to do some jobs but it's been a long day.

I am feeling a bit sorry for myself now, cramps are getting slightly worse so I have that sudden feeling I'm out. You know that 4 days pre fp due feeling? I feel fat and bloated and miserable pass the mince pies already! I was tempted to test again say Thursday but I think I'll just wait out as expecting spotting some day soon

Hope yous are doing ok I've just spent £40 on some fertility tea from America for next cycle. Preying I'm pregnant by then and it's a waste of money. Hope the BFNs are just to early to know.

Hello Yammers. Sorry to see so many familiar faces still here. Take heart ladies, I've seen an omen. Had my little DS on Friday, and spent the day on post natal. Sign above my bed caught my eye and I meant to post it here:

DH dropped off his sperm sample this morning so hopefully won't be too long until we hear back from that. I've stopped sulking over my BFN now, I've got the clomid ready to start so just bring on AF!!

Has anyone tried benylin to increase Cm?

@Chooklass It's called fertili tea in the gold bag the ingredients match up with a lot I've read online. I'm a pretty fussy tea drinker though and my dr basically said it will work if it relaxes me and if I believe it will work 🙈 x

@ImpatientMammy I thought I'd heard all the crazy TTC tricks by now 😂. Benlyn!! I love the taste of it! I've heard of evening primrose oil and grapefruit being used to increase cm? And drinking more water (I'm trying to do that this cycle).

Annoyingly, my GP hasn't got a letter from consultant about prescribing me progesterone yet so looks like I'll have to wait another cycle.

@ImpatientMammy I once bought fertility tea off Amazon.. it tasted quite nice!

Hope everyone is doing okay.. I got the date of my first scan through.. so feeling much more relaxed.

ImpatientMammy I've not tried benylin but EPO and grapefruit juice seem to give me lots more EWCM - purely anecdotal of course but I do constantly have a fridge full of grapefruit juice these days

@ImpatientMammy never heard of using that but I second the grapefruit juice, it definitely works for me.

Saw my GP yesterday and she has agreed to do a blood screen for causes of infertility/miscarriage then if all normal to refer us to infertility which is a huge relief. I was so worried she'd send us away because technically have been pregnant 2x but neither of those pregnancies lasted longer than 5-6 weeks and been trying for almost 15 months now.

Work is giving me hell today.. boss is being seriously petty! I bet she knows whats up because she was having a go at me about communication. im having to grit my teeth and bear it!

Argh bosses are the worst @Pinkemi mine trying to get out of me when I came on my period as weirdly that was today! Two days early I might add! So weird, I'm sure she's psychic. So I reassured her I'm not pregnant and leaving in 9 months time!!!

So anyway, fp came and that takes me into my 3rd year trying 😭 I suggested to do to take some time off in the new year but he isn't too keen, I don't think he understands how hard this is for me

Sorry to hear that Owl - definitely treat yourself this weekend and if you need to take some time off TTC for your mental health I'd definitely bring it up again with DP. Perhaps he doesn't quite realise how much it's draining you?

Pink argh she sounds so annoying. Lukcily my boss is lovely but there are SO many pregnant women in my workplace right now that people are always on the lookout for "who's next".... I've had so many not subtle glances at my stomach if I'm wearing dungarees or a smock style dress. I'm sure they think I can't see where they're looking..

strawberry glad your GP is being proactive and hope you manage to get some answers, must be so hard having losses.

Ladies, could I pick your brains please? I don't have PCOS (as far as I know) but my acupuncture lady said she thought I might, and for the last 5/6 months I've noticed some strange pains (what I assume is!) my left ovary.
It's always in the run up to FP and always the left, so not ovulation pain. Like a twinging, stabbing pain, has anyone ever had this? Not sure if it's indicative of PCOS or anything else. My hair all fell out and skin went haywire when I came off the pill which adds to me thinking maybe I do have it and the pill was masking symptoms.

Do you think it sounds like PCOS? If so I'm wondering whether to see the GP about a scan. I'm on the waiting list for IVF for a genetic thing, and have been terrified of losing the funding so haven't pursued any "normal" fertility investigations even though we could have had them by now (18months in).

Hi @ivf2019 thank you, I've been feeling a bit down in the dumps this week and had a major headache all day today! So glad it's the weekend. I can't comment on your pcos question as I don't think I have it (I've had the blood test) but anyway I'll be watching others responses.

I've been thinking of trying acupuncture in the new year or I've found this other therapy which is a bit like reiki so might try that
