Yammers thread 9!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night
  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

@ImpatientMammy! Quick, Yammers! Get shagging!

OP posts:
Owlpatrol · 24/10/2018 19:31

@ImpatientMammy do you know it's weird but I dabble in a few spiritual things (I've been known to burn sage 😂) and I've noticed an energy shift today! Oooohhhh this could be an exciting month yammers

Chooklass · 24/10/2018 19:32

@ImpatientMammy I ovulation cramps this very night! It's just meant to be this cycle 🤣

OP posts:
ImpatientMammy · 24/10/2018 19:56

😂😂 @Owlpatrol I have a dying sage plant in the kitchen im not sure that'll do the trick. All joking aside though I'm dtd tonight cd22 or not 🙈
If yous all get pregnant tonight someone has to name they're baby after me 😂 x

ImpatientMammy · 24/10/2018 20:01

@Chooklass well the moons on your side 🤞 this is your month x

Chooklass · 24/10/2018 20:01

I'd agree to anything if I got pregnant tonight!!

OP posts:
Chooklass · 24/10/2018 20:03

DP is out tonight. We did it last night. Might wait up and jump him when he returns!

OP posts:
Owlpatrol · 24/10/2018 20:13

Ohhh yes, dp wants to dtd tonight I'm only cycle day 8 so gonna treat him to an early cycle shag, but not using my pre seed that's only for very special occasions 😂

OrcinusOrca · 24/10/2018 20:38

I posted on the old thread but no one replied at the time, does anyone want some OPKs? I've got 40 or so and I don't use them and am very unlikely too. Happy to post them to a fellow yammer or split them between a couple of you if anybody wants them?

Haha this is so funny I burn sage!! My neighbour got me into it. Feels very cleansing, I love it. Especially if someone pisses me off or we've had a patch of stress or unhappiness I like to clear the house out. I wouldn't tell most people that but feel like yammers get it from what you're all saying.

Welcome @Flappergirl86 I missed you, sorry to hear about your ectopic. @JustLikeTheySaid

Chooklass · 24/10/2018 20:51

@OrcinusOrca did you have your reflexology appointment? How did it go? Got my first session tomorrow.

OP posts:
ImpatientMammy · 24/10/2018 20:58

@Owlpatrol I use the preseed just before the ewcm. I think it just replaces ewcm and helps the sperm along things get a bit too luby with it when ovulating 😳 have you used it yet? X

ImpatientMammy · 24/10/2018 21:02

@OrcinusOrca i ordered 200 last month so I think I'm good thank you 🙈

How much is reflexology girls? I hate people touching my feet but can't afford acupuncture is it the same idea? X

OrcinusOrca · 24/10/2018 21:11

Reflexology is £40 where I am which is the same price that acupuncture was. I enjoyed it a lot more than I did the acupuncture, I feel like acupuncture would grow on me the more I did it but I had a terrible IBS bout after my first one and it made me a little wary about just how strong it was. Then I got diagnosed with PCOS and decided to do one thing at a time eg take the metformin.

It is all quite expensive, I find it hard to justify it to myself because DH spends naff all on himself. I'm going to go once a fortnight for reflexology for a month or two I think and see how I go.

Chooklass · 24/10/2018 21:11

@ImpatientMammy I've paid £45 for 1hr and it's taken me about 6 months to convince myself it might be worth the money! I'm a bit worried my feet will be too tickly!

OP posts:
ImpatientMammy · 24/10/2018 22:29

@Chooklass did it increase you ewcm or show any signs of working?

I've been lost in the internet and I'm getting on the vitiman bandwagon I'm thinking evening primrose, flaxseed oil and fertility tea containing Vitex anyone had experience with any of this? I'm sure someone used evening primrose last month ? 🤔 @Owlpatrol was it you

I will get pregnant by Christmas!!! X

Owlpatrol · 25/10/2018 06:36

@ImpatientMammy I know I'm going full pelt this month! I'd be wary of evening primrose for me personally it really messed my moods up! I'm currently taking vitamin d, folic and omega 3 throughout the first 2 weeks then I'll stop omega 3 and I'm going to start using yam cream Shock I'm not joking.....

Owlpatrol · 25/10/2018 06:45

Ooops meant to say vitamin c not d! I am tempted by vitex but just going to try yam cream first, don't all shoot me 😂

Chooklass · 25/10/2018 07:07

Haha! @Owlpatrol I have yam cream but it stinks so only used it a couple of times.

My DP just bought some super expensive fertility vitamins - think after 20 cycles he's finally reached the same 'try anything' mentality as me!

OP posts:
Chooklass · 25/10/2018 07:08

@ImpatientMammy my first session is tonight so don't know yet. Also, just ovulated so won't probably know until next cycle!

OP posts:
OrcinusOrca · 25/10/2018 08:25

@Chooklass I didn't find it tickly at all, they're quite firm but it's really nice.

Booksandbaths1 · 25/10/2018 10:28

Ooh loving the idea of sage burning. I thought about doing it when we moved into this house to cleanse it from the old occupants. Is it sage from the garden? Do you dry it first?

ImpatientMammy · 25/10/2018 10:34

My OH won't take ttc vitimans so I got him some all round vits and extra iron ones I got my little one vits at the same time and pretended I was on a health drive to protect his ego 🙄
Thanks @Owlpatrol I'll swap evening primrose for vit c and add Omega 3 to the list 😂 think I'll leave yam cream if it smells can you get it as a tablet to add to my pharmacy? X

Chooklass · 25/10/2018 11:04

My OH wouldn't take vits until his sperm results came back 'poor'. 6 months of vits and his latest test is 'satisfactory' so looks like the vits might have worked! Has your OH had a sperm test @ImpatientMammy?

Pinkemi · 25/10/2018 11:10

Wow.. I go away for a day and come back to loads of messages. haha Didn't actually realise there was such a thing as YAM cream.. what is it for?! Also.. sage burning.. does it work?

So we are day 3 and apparently our embryos are doing really well. Smile I keep referring to them as "our babies".. Confused Actually asked the embryologist "how are our babies doing?" woops.

Had the call from the hospital this morning to say that they want to take all 4 to the next stage and have the transfer on day 5. She said that there is a high probability that we will lose some. Sad I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that as many of our babies survive as possible!! Glitterball

ImpatientMammy · 25/10/2018 11:22

@Chooklass I'm actually just bout to ring the drs for him now. I gave him 3 days to do it himself. Fingers crossed he's all ok cause I'm not sure how good he's gunna be at lifestyle changes.

@Pinkemi that's fab news they won't to use them all. How you doing? X
