BabyBratt · 11/07/2007 09:21

Hi Plummey, I thought about you all day yesterday. My heart really goes out to you. I know nothing I can say will help but just so you know Im thinking about you.

plummymummy · 11/07/2007 10:27

Thanks BB I hope to join some of you ttc (though maybe that's not the right thing to say, since by the time I am ready ttc I hope you will have graduated, but you know what I mean). I gather I have to wait 6 weeks before trying.

tigerschick · 11/07/2007 20:55

Plummy - glad to hear that your eprc went as well as can be expected. Hope you get some good news at your appointment in a few weeks.

Well, got my appointment in the morning so please cross a few fingers for me that sonething positive happens. I'm worried that my good feelings about the promptness (is that a word) of this appointment will come back to bite me as this may just be a preliminary meeting and I may have to wait ages to see a consultant. Ah well, time will tell. At least dh is coming with me. I've been a bit worried lately that he isn't too fussed and it's just me going off for checks etc. I'm sure I'm being paranoid but I'm going to have to talk to him tomorrow before the appointment.

Hope everyone else is OK.

plummymummy · 11/07/2007 23:43

Good luck with appt tiger. I think the stress of the ordeal we go through sometimes makes us a bit paranoid so whilst I think it's important to talk to your dh, don't be surprised if he looks completely bewildered when you raise it with him! I speak from experience

AussieSim · 12/07/2007 07:36

Hi guys. Sorry to hear about the sad news and wishing you all the best!

I am day 22 and had myself convinced that I was feeling 'funny' and after all my disciplined BD work this cycle I was feeling so confident that I tested. BFN of course, you would think having been through this a couple of times before I would be more sensible. Do you think that there is any chance that I just tested too early? I think I am feeling quite desperate this time due to my age and not wanting a big gap between DS2 and D??.

plummymummy · 12/07/2007 09:32

How long is your cycle usually? Are you testing too early?

AussieSim · 12/07/2007 09:51

My cycle used to be 31 days with OV on day 16 or so, but since DS2 it is often 28 days with OV on 12 or 13 I think ... The test I took said I could test 7 to 10 days after OV but ... I think I will just wait to see if AF turns up and try not to stress out. Thanks for listening plummymummy.

plummymummy · 12/07/2007 09:59

I know how you feel as I was addicted to testing when ttc. In the end I bought some cheapies off the internet and saved the brand ones for when my period was due. I would use the cheapies a week before my period was due Lots of women won't get a positive until after their period is due so don't despair yet. The two week wait is awful so you have to try and distract yourself during this time - easier said than done.

BabyBratt · 12/07/2007 10:31

Hi Aussie

You are not on your own, Im on CD28 (12DPO) and I promised myself I would not test but I did it was BFN. Now I've convinced myself it is too early. There is a link all about tests on another thread I will hunt it out for you. The jist of it is that they do not work until you have missed (that does not stop me though)

Tiger good luck with you appointment.

Plummey I think there are many of us with a HPT addiction maybe they should start self help groups.

plummymummy · 12/07/2007 10:37

Yes we could all take in our tests, sit in a circle then one by one renounce them into a fire or something like that

BabyBratt · 12/07/2007 10:51

It would be like an episode of friends where the girls burn all the stuff that reminds them of ex's.

My name is BB and I am a test-a-holic!!!

A good friend from Uni has just announced she is pregnant with her 2nd, she is due in January. One of my gym buddies has just told us her husband moved out last week, he has announced he does not want a family and she is 34 and desperate to start a family. We cannot believe it we've known them for 8 years and they have always seemed so good together. My life seems a little like a soap opera at the moment.

plummymummy · 12/07/2007 10:59

Your poor friend Surely they discussed children before they got married?

obbley · 12/07/2007 11:19

period due so i tested but its negative. but still sore veiny breasts could there be hope i wonder.

tigerschick · 12/07/2007 15:19

Hi everyone.

BB - it never rains, hey?? Puts things in perspective really.

Obbley - fingers crossed - remember, it ain't over til it's over!

Plummy - Hope you are OK today.

Well, the appointment went really well. I've got a course of provera to make me have a period and a course of Clomifene to make me ovulate!! The only thing stopping me from starting now is that the Nurse said I should wait until August to give my body a chance to a) recover from my last marathon period and b) have a natural period (FAT CHANCE)

Am really excited even tho I've got a bit of a wait ... really don't want to get over excited as I know that, even with the meds it can take a while ... but at least I'm on the right track

Hope everyone else is well and happy

plummymummy · 12/07/2007 17:45

Excellent news tigerschick

tigerschick · 12/07/2007 19:03

Thanks Plummy. Mustn't get my hopes up but really pleased as I thought that this was just going to be a preliminary appointment and they'd stick me on a waiting list to see the consultant. When you think that I first went to see my gp at the beginning of April, it's been pretty darn quick!

BabyBratt · 12/07/2007 19:53

Tigerschick that is brilliant news. I am so so pleased.

Plummey Just been chatting to my friend, they had discussed it and he said he wanted children. Im wondering if there is more to than meets the eye. After all people only tell you what they want you to know.

tigerschick · 12/07/2007 20:20

BB - Thanks. With ref to your friend; I agree that there is almost definately more to it, especially if he said before that he did want children. It must be very hard on your friend.

plummymummy · 13/07/2007 08:14

Tiger - would be great if that combo sorts you out with a little un

BB - agree, seems like there is more to the story. Another woman perhaps?

ronshar · 13/07/2007 10:21

Morning to everybody.
Plummy I am really so very sorry. Having been through the same thing my heart goes out to you.

plummymummy · 13/07/2007 12:03

Thanks Ronshar - did you have a baby after m/c? Sorry to hear about your m/c(s) too
