Eek never started one of these threads before but thought i'd be brave.

Surely someone wants to join me and stop me looking/feeling like a fool!!

I guess they've all rather cheekily gone and got lives for themselves

It's odd on here that some days there are 2 or 3 posts and other days there are 2-300!! I guess it's just a coincidence if you happen to log on at the same time as anyone else or not.

Enjoy your wine

spugs · 30/06/2007 15:50

im here but not for long have kiddys party in a hour!

tigerschick · 30/06/2007 15:52

Hi spugs, who is the party for?
I'm only here until dd wakes up or the washing machine finishes, which ever happens first!

ronshar · 01/07/2007 10:28

Sorry to have abandoned you. I was feelig rather sorry for myself and am on my own with the 2dds for the week. I am about to go swimming!! Could just go in the garden mind with all this rain. At least I dont have to water the plants.

derah · 01/07/2007 10:52

ooh, ooh, oooh, I had a faint positive this morning!! Oooh, oooh, ooohh!!! Not entirely dark enough to be 100% sure but not so faint that I was fooling myself that it was there either! I did 2 tests to be sure and the 2nd one was even darker. Oooh, oooh, oooh! I'll do another cheapie test tomorrow morning and if it's any darker, I'll break out the CBD's that I'm saving for when there's a very good chance it's for real.

Oooooooooooooohhh!!

derah · 01/07/2007 10:54

Hi Ronshar. Sorry you're a bit blue. Must be hard work looking after 2 on your own. Hope the swim was fun.

How was the party spugs?

spugs · 01/07/2007 11:23

managed to get out of it by making hubby take them, bless him. I cant stand kids partys find them mind numbing. he was happy though took his ipod and the paper and chatted up some yummy mummys

McDreamy · 01/07/2007 11:26

Derah - great news!! Hoping that this time next week I will be posting the same thing!

spugs · 01/07/2007 11:34

Sorry I didnt see your previous message, congratulations seems like loads of people are getting bfps at the minute lets hope its catching.

derah · 01/07/2007 12:03

I'm not letting myself get too excited yet... not until the CBD says that magical word (hopefully tomorrow)........

McDreamy · 01/07/2007 12:07

well I'm v excited for you

tigerschick · 01/07/2007 16:05

Wow - A small congratulations for today Derah.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow

derah · 01/07/2007 16:09

Thanks guys. I'm wavering between being very excited and totally terrified that it's not true.....

siameez · 01/07/2007 16:17

Oh my God derah I'm so so excited for you! Can't wait to hear how it goes. Other than following miscarriages you don't get false positives do you? Can you? I think this must be the real thing

derah · 01/07/2007 17:09

Ah but Siameez it's so faint and they're cheapie sticks so I don't want to put too much faith into it and then be devastated when af shows up. So I won't really believe it until Clearblue says it's true!

tigerschick · 02/07/2007 07:56

Morning

Derah - any news???

derah · 02/07/2007 08:24

Well, I woke up at 5am needing to pee, so first I popped my thermometer in, scared that it was going to show a drop. Nope, temp still up, so good news there. Went to the loo, dunked cheapie test into the pot and stared at it for a while. Not much sign of a line. Got to about 4 minutes, saw a very faint line (even fainter than yesterday if anything), so wasn't hugely optimistic. But I had my Clearblue ready and couldn't resist so into the pot it went. I figured it would take the full 3 minutes and then be negative, so I was reading the Clearblue leaflet to fill the time, to see what hormone level it can detect compared to the cheapies. After about a minute, I looked up at the test and there it was..... that beautiful, wonderful word... PREGNANT! BFP!!

I'm so excited! Of course I wanted to wake DH and tell him straight away but didn't think he'd be as happy as he should be at 5am!! He's really not a morning person. So I left the test on the sink, went back to bed (did't sleep much), then waited for him to get up and go to the bathroom at 7am (smirking into my pillow). He came rushing back into the bedroom and gave me a huge hug, and said "job done!" Such a man thing to say... my job is just beginning!! Erk!!

Thanks to all of you for being so supportive and good luck to you all too!!

tigerschick · 02/07/2007 08:28

Woo Hoo!!

CONGRATULATIONS DERAH!!!!

sweetkitty · 02/07/2007 09:06

derah - again congratulations I did the very same thing with the cheapie tests then a CBD!

scorpio - big hello to you any news?

tigerschick - hello again your periods sound a nightmare I hope you get them sorted out soon

scorpio1 · 02/07/2007 09:10

Tiger don't you go blaming me for the shitty weather, woman! it has been horrid here though, but at least we havent had flooding like some places.and yes, i noticed you went, i normally have a gossip with you!

derah yay, BFP! well done, girl!

Rainbowdays, lissie if you're looking-so so

everyone else, hello!

CD30 here, still waiting.....last cycles 41 days so not too long now....

scorpio1 · 02/07/2007 09:11

how was your hols anyway, tiger? do anything fun?

tigerschick · 02/07/2007 09:34

It was really nice thanks, Scorpio. We didn't do a great deal, but that was the plan. The place where we stayed had a hot tub on the balcony, it was an alpine style cabin on the side of an old millpond. So it was fairly idyllic just staying where we were. We did visit Fowey, Polperro, Heligan, Lanhydrock and Plymouth but they were pretty flying visits.

The second week we spent 3 nights in a really nice hotel near Bath. It was supposed to be 2 nights but dh's boss asked him if he would go and look at a herd of cows he was thinking about buying in Bude. So dh said yes, as long as the farm paid for another night in the hotel So I had a chance to have a massage

The weather was pretty crap but it didn't stop us from doing anything we wanted to do. And we weren't going to complain too much as my grandparents are among the many who have been flooded out. They have basically lost everything Silly old fools didn't have contents insurace tho!

Anyway - any news your end??

scorpio1 · 02/07/2007 09:41

dp went to watch some fights last night (thai-boxing).it started at 12.30 pm, and he got home at 2.20am!!!!!! he has spent ££££ and is still pissed this morning, puking and everything! he has gone to work though im a little bit but tbh its mostly funny he went clubbing after the fighting with all his fighter mates and walked 2 miles home on the side of a bypass!

we are going to Butlins 4 weeks today for 4 nights, atually getting quite excited! i want to live in Lanhydrock when im older.

of your massage

when i finally get pg, dp has said me and my mate can go to a spa weekend ahhh,he sweet!

nogoes · 02/07/2007 09:42

Congratulations to Derah and Sweetkitty!!! .

I am just back from on holiday and on day CD24 but I will just be lurking for the rest of the July thread as I decided whilst I was away that I want to lose some weight before ttc. After eating quite a bit and drinking on holiday I think I should make more of an effort to get back to the weight I was before I had ds.

Good luck to the rest of you!!!

tigerschick · 02/07/2007 10:30

Hope you are ok nogoes. Feel free to lurk or post anytime. I just keep posting even tho I know there is very little chance that I'll get pg until I get some 'help'.

And on that ... I have an appointment with an 'infertility nurse specialist' on the 12th. That's only a week on Thursday! Yay, I was expecting a much longer wait than that. Dh should still be off work after his knee op so he can come with me without feeling guilty about taking more time off work, or having to explain where we are going. (That's the problem with being in such a tight-knit group with his boss and his boss's family.)
