My AF arrived yesterday so I'm off the September bus already Sad

Cycle #2
Trying for baby #2
Age 33

This month I am going to track my cycle using ovulation strips. DTD lots last month so I'm gutted but onwards and upwards!

Thanks @toomanyflatwhites and @chocolate89. I'm on day 6flashing smiley and cd25. It's quite late to ovulate I think? But we've dtd twice since the flashing started and will again tomorrow so just going to stop testing now!

toomanyflatwhites · 27/09/2018 15:30

@veeboo in my deep exploration of The CB website the other day there was a chart with the percentage of women reporting the number of days they got flashing before the static, and anything up to 9 days is possible before you give up on testing. Though as you say, would be quite late to ovulate, but anything is possible. Hope you can relax and enjoy your holiday and you never know.... 🤞🏻

veeboo · 27/09/2018 17:29

Thanks @toomanyflatwhites. Fx for some bfps on the thread when I get back! I now have no idea when AF is due this month. Not sure if that will make the tww easier or harder!

ImpatientMammy · 27/09/2018 17:48

@veeboo I'd assume af will be late. I ovulated a week late last cycle and af was 7 days late also. Have a lovely holiday x

muddypuddlejumping · 27/09/2018 20:54

@MuddyElephant @TwittleBee so holding off symptom spotting is going very well ... except for googling having more ewcm today 😂 so that's two days of ewcm around a week after ovulation. Not sure when af is due. Could be as early as Tuesday based on last month's cycle but suspect it'll be later as I think I ovulated later.

veeboo · 28/09/2018 02:00

I just got my static smiley! What has my life become?! so relieved. Maybe it was just waiting for my holiday!

KinCat · 28/09/2018 03:22

I'd like to join! I just finished my first period after getting the coil removed in July so I'm hoping it's a sign my lining could have built up enough to get pregnant this cycle (cycle 3 for me).

I'm due to ovulate between Thursday 4 October and Saturday 6 October according to fertility friends. I hope it's the later end of that as DH is away with work and not back until the very early hours of 6 October (I'm tempted to ask him to wake me up for a quickie when he gets in at 2am - those 8 hours could make a difference!). Chances are we'll miss the window this cycle but I can always hope. I'd really hoped to be able to tell family at Christmas that I'm pregnant (we live overseas).

TwittleBee · 28/09/2018 05:50

muddypuddlejumping haha sounds like yours is going as well as mine lol! I've too been symptom spotting when I said I wouldn't. FX!

veeboo ooo yay! Get in some holiday fun and relaxation. Baby dust

KinCat hello! FX you ov on the 6th then! I'd certainly consider getting him to wake you up like you said. Really could make all the difference

toomanyflatwhites · 28/09/2018 06:56

@veeboo YAY!!! Noticed the time of your post was 2am...maybe that had something to do with it? Or you were stressed and the start of your holiday made all the difference? Hoping the same happens for me this weekend (although only away for 1 night!)
Welcome @KinCat - I know what you mean about Christmas, I had hoped to be pregnant enough that everyone knew by then too, but now am starting to wonder!

PaintingOwls · 28/09/2018 08:54

Wishful30

and have heard that it's also a sign of early pregnancy.

EEEEEEEEK you're getting my hopes up! Thanks and best of luck to you too!

toomanyflatwhites · 28/09/2018 11:50

Day 5 of flashing smiley...and absolutely no CM (it vanished after putting in a brief appearance on day 15, am now on CD19). Is there any hope I'm actually going to ovulate this cycle I wonder?? At least I don't need to worry about having missed our chances to DTD because of DP being away!

loveshinealight · 28/09/2018 11:57

@veeboo - fantastic!! 🙌🏻
@toomanyflatwhites - my CM seems to change lots. Try not worry. I didn't ovulate till CD 21!

Five days till testing. My only symptom is vivid dreams. 🤞🏻

Thanks @loveshinealight (love your name btw) - hoping for late rather than absent ovulation and this actually works out better - maybe my body was listening to my silent pleas to synch with DP's travel schedule?!

loveshinealight · 28/09/2018 12:57

Fuck it I'm away to buy a frer!

Hi all!

Its been so long since I did this and I’ve forgotten everything! DH and I DTD on Tuesday and Wednesday. Today I’ve got a positive OPK. Our toddler was up for ages tonight and im exhausted today. Will we have any chance or do i need to muster some energy from somewhere?! Confused.

toomanyflatwhites · 28/09/2018 13:29

Haha @loveshinealight keep us posted!!
And @SophieBear13 I do worry whether we will ever manage to DTD enough to maximise our chances now we have a toddler (who actually interrupted us the other morning Confused). Am not an expert though, are you using ICs or digital OPKs?

TwittleBee · 28/09/2018 13:47

loveshinealight hahaha! good luck! (trying so hard not to get one myself actually)

SophieBear13 so a +OPK indicates you will be ovulating between 24-36 hours later so potentially tomorrow or Sunday. Sperm is meant to be able to live in you for up to 7 days so if you have DTD on Tuesday and Wednesday you should be covered but I would suggest DTD tomorrow night to maximise your chances. FX

TwittleBee · 28/09/2018 14:35

okay so been feeling nauseous all day and finally chucked my guts up in the office loos urgh! Part of me is trying to be rational and see this as way too early to be a symptom so I'm probably just ill but other part of me is so bloody excited as this was first symptom for me with DS

stormtrooperjulian · 28/09/2018 15:10

@TwittleBee sounds promising, how many dpo are you?

TwittleBee · 28/09/2018 15:14

stormtrooperjulian well my cycles are bit unregular atm but I think I am about 8dpo going on average and charting my CM so surely too early. Did have horrid shooting pains all day yesterday which could have been implantation I guess.... Or I am just ill

stormtrooperjulian · 28/09/2018 15:23

@TwittleBee I’m trying not to obsess this cycle and I’m finding it helpful to tell myself that this one hasn’t worked, it stops me thinking about my ‘symptoms’ that are way too early to be real. I guess it would be possible for you to be having real symptoms if you implanted really early though?

loveshinealight · 28/09/2018 15:33

BFN. Ghost white. Why do I do this to myself!?

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 28/09/2018 15:35

stormtrooperjulian it doesnt help because I know I implanted early with DS and had signs straight away too. Plus sickness isnt a usual PMS symptom for me. Maybe I'll go get a FRER but I did tell myself I wouldnt test early after I had a chemical! Belurgh haha. Hope we both see a BFP soon

TwittleBee · 28/09/2018 15:36

loveshinealight oh no! Tbf you are still so early hun

stormtrooperjulian · 28/09/2018 15:42

@TwittleBee if it’s not a standard pms symptom for you then that’s a great sign! I’ve been having strange sharp cramps all day but I keep telling myself that it’s nothing and it’s too early anyway, I will not overthink everything this time!
