My AF arrived yesterday so I'm off the September bus already Sad

Cycle #2
Trying for baby #2
Age 33

This month I am going to track my cycle using ovulation strips. DTD lots last month so I'm gutted but onwards and upwards!

toomanyflatwhites sounds like we're in the same boat with needing our husband's travel plans and our cycles to align!

This is a bit embarrasing but I've actually done up a massive spreadsheet showing expected ovulation and lmp dates for the next year and underneath each one put what date I'd be 8 weeks, 12 weeks etc. if we conceived that ovulation. Makes it easy to obsess over how pregnant I could be at Christmas etc. I haven't shown DH the spreadsheet...

Fingers crossed for those of you in the 2ww - surely anything not normal must be a good sign?

TwittleBee · 28/09/2018 16:09

stormtrooperjulian maybe I will grab a FRER after work... I really hope you manage to not over think (hope even more so that it ends in a BFP for you)

KinCat not embarrassing at all! I have done the same LOL! Also have a spread sheet on finances relating to pregnancy, mat leave and returning to work (my advice would be not to show DH after seeing my DH's reaction)

KinCat · 28/09/2018 16:39

Ok good, glad I'm not the only one! I might add more to mine!

Did it freak your DH out? Mine always gets really jumpy in the 2ww like what have we done, our lives would never be the same. But then he'll settle down again and quite happily try the next month. The Spreadsheet might tip him over the edge though so I'll keep it to myself for the time being!

MuddyElephant · 28/09/2018 21:10

@kincat you are so organised! We are also trying to move but our chain collapsed earlier in the year Angry

Think I'm out...brown spotting today. 10dpo so likely AF rearing her ugly head. Due wed/thurs but sticking around as will be due again very and of the month!

How is everyone else?

muddypuddlejumping · 28/09/2018 22:21

@MuddyElephant surely brown spotting at 10dpo is more of a positive implantation sign?! Do you normally spot for so long before af?

TwittleBee · 29/09/2018 00:16

MuddyElephant I'm thinking same as muddypuddlejumping too with the implantation spotting surely at 10dpo (unless it's the norm for you?!)

KinCat he likes I do them so he knows I'm in control and financially everything adds up but he thinks I take it way too far with way too many options

KinCat · 29/09/2018 02:02

Muddyelephant yeah the spotting could be a good sign, if it's not normal for you? Is it a big move you're planning? I've never bought a house but the whole chain thing sounds very stressful.

TwittleBee that's good - your spreadsheet sounds much more practical than mine so it wouldn't even have that good aspect if I showed him! Have you budgeted for if you get twins?!

Wishful30 · 29/09/2018 07:39

@PaintingOwls

Currently looking at the ewcm as pre ovulation sign. (That's more likely)
Tho tbh I have never noticed it until my I get my opk smiley, if at all.
The fun part is, I usually ovulate cd 14/15.
Af was a little late, very light and extra long. So I don't know exactly when cd1 was in the first place.
On top of that, I have NO opks in the house. I presuming Sunday is about right. So will just go with it.
But with all the issues I had with the hospital, I now believe I need progesterone to sustain a pregnancy. So if I conceive it's probably gonna be another chemical 🙄
Having a few drinks and some fun with DH this weekend, he's been on nights all week so I've hardly seen him. 😏
trying to push it to the back of my mind for now.
Kinda accepting the IUI won't work either and planning to see the GP to get referred to an NHS fertility specialist who will listen to me.
Planning acupuncture too 👍🏻

Peonie89 · 29/09/2018 08:28

Got my first flashing smiley this morning! Tempted to wake dp and dtd Wink am I right in thinking this means I will ovulate today or tomorrow?

MuddyElephant · 29/09/2018 09:07

@muddlypuddlejumping @kincat @TwittleBee oooh I hadn't even considered implantation...FX!

Trying to move from 1bed flat to a house, market very slow right now though Sad

@Wishful30 sorry things are so tough, enjoy your weekend with DH Gin

Hi ladies,

Just joining in for the first time so hi everyone 👋
Age 31
Cycle 3
CD19, about 7 days PO and well and truly in the TWW.
Had an early MMC at 4 weeks (didn't know I was pregnant) in my first cycle, so hoping this might be my month. I'm feeling a bit different in this TWW- similar to the first cycle really.... so the waiting continues!!!

Nell90x · 29/09/2018 12:48

Hi @Peonie89 my understanding is that flashing smiley means that you've entered your fertile period so if you DTD it could be helpful! But I think with the CB tests, it's when you get a static smiley that indicates your LH surge and it's within 12 - 38hrs of that you will ov 😊
Best of luck! X

SophiePie · 29/09/2018 15:28

Ok, so something weird has happened. Got a positive opk today (CD15) and in all these months of tracking have only ever got a +opk anywhere from CD18 to CD21. Has this happened to anyone here before? Totally confused

SophiePie · 29/09/2018 15:30

Hi @summer28! Sorry to hear about your mmc, hope this month brings better luck Sad

Peonie89 · 29/09/2018 16:10

@Nell90x ok good to know! Fingers crossed

loveshinealight · 29/09/2018 17:31

@SophiePie - your period (if it comes Wink) will just be a couple days early. The day of ovulation can fluctuate but generally speaking your Luteal phase remains the same.

Hi all Sorry for not name checking all and hi to all new people that have joined.

I have been looking into the more expensive clear blue ovulation tests but with maybe pcos (mild) I have been told it may not show up.

So far I said I had 2 maybe 3 positive opks so I have no idea where I am cycle wise.
I could be 10dpo or only 7dpo. 2 days ago I was a poas addict and I thought there was a squinted but not showing up on pics. When I opened it up (sin I know) but there was something.

Now today this.....

Too early for an October bus?
SophiePie · 29/09/2018 19:30

@loveshinealight Ohhh well that's good to know. I suppose in the long run it means a little less waiting. Thanks for explaining Cake

loveshinealight · 29/09/2018 19:33

@Soberfutures - I think I see a squinted Grin

OP posts:
muddypuddlejumping · 29/09/2018 19:38

@Soberfutures I can definitely see a line! Congratulations!

Soberfutures · 29/09/2018 19:45

I'm defo squinting or thinking an evap. Will keep posted as got DH to order some more frer from Amazon asap.
If it not then I will be ordering a bbt or clear blue opk.

Nell90x · 29/09/2018 19:46

@Soberfutures I think I see something if I squint 😄 everything crossed! X

SophiePie · 29/09/2018 20:18

@Soberfutures I think I can see it too. Defo time for more frer. Good luck!!!

coastergirl · 29/09/2018 23:27

Hello

I was in the September thread but was very confused after a mc and no idea when I might be due on! The pregnancy (found out at the end of July and mc at 6.5 weeks) was a big surprise but made us realise how much we wanted it. Anyway my period appeared about 5 weeks after the mc. I had been tracking my temp until a few days ago but it's always up and down like crazy so I gave up. Just going to wait and see. According to my period app I'm on cd18. I conceived my little boy on cd25! But that was 4 years ago and my cycle is much more regular now. So basically I've no idea where I am. Been dtd though so fingers crossed.

sbhf1987 · 30/09/2018 09:29

Got back from my holiday after my mc when I was away and did a FRER and it couldn’t have been more negative. Glad in a way as there’s no confusion worrying the next bfp won’t be a new pregnancy. DH wants to start trying straight away but unsure when to start using OPKs. Technically CD7 today if I count the m/c as CD1. Had a few days of drowning my sorrows now back to be healthy and looking after myself x
