Too early for an October bus?

My AF arrived yesterday so I'm off the September bus already

Cycle #2
Trying for baby #2
Age 33

This month I am going to track my cycle using ovulation strips. DTD lots last month so I'm gutted but onwards and upwards!

toomanyflatwhites you going to do anything special to tell your DP? Though I guess making an embryo is special enough! I don't think I'd be able to contain myself and would just blurt it out but I haven't had any losses yet so appreciate it's different.

Sorry AF got your PaintingOwls I'll be in the same situation as you if nothing sticks this cycle - next ovulation on Halloween then period 11 November.

Nope @KinCat, just not sure how to tell him I did a test this morning and hadn't told him! Might wait and do another tomorrow and act surprised - is that awful???!!
I usually can't keep anything quiet but slightly hilariously when I went into labour I didn't tell him for a few hours as I wanted him to drop my parents off and go to vote first, and I knew he would flip out if I told him I was having regular contractions!!

toomanyflatwhites dont act surprised haha! Just tell him today was only a "squinter" and you wanted to wait for a darker line to make sure? Love how you held off telling him you were in labour! I called DH home from a nigh shift as soon as my waters broke LOL

Rightnow1245 are they at least getting darker? I actually have only ever got +OPKs in the evening actually! FX for you too! CD6 (thought it was only 5 but just checked my app and says 6 already!) today. Been having a strange amount of EWCM yesterday and today.... Really early for me to be seeing that already!

TwittleBee yeah I think so I’ll attach a photo but I did start testing on 12dp but there wasn’t even a faint line before! I will test again tonight 😊

Oh yeah they are certainly getting darker at least!

I guess I should start using the OPKs! DH is gonna flip out at me as he said he didn't want me stressing with tracking this month haha. Ah well!

I'm off :( Not entirely surprising as we've had an absolute nightmare of a month (both my Grandma and Ma are v. v. poorly atm) and I've been so stressed I've collapsed & lost all track of testing...I'm not certain I actually even ovulated this month! Urgh sorry the little vent feeling a bit low with the arrival of Aunt Flo!

Evening ladies,

I had my first acupuncture today. I'm very pleased.
She was such a lovely lady, explained everything to me in a 40minute consult before we do d anything.
Took pages of details off me, from all aspects of health, not just fertility.
It was a bit odd, but with 29 needles sticking in me all over the place, I think I only felt 3 actually sting a bit initially.
Af is due Sunday. So I've booked to go back in 2 weeks, about 4/5 days before ovulation.

I'm a little annoyed I panicked and went straight to a private fertility clinic, spending thousands on IUI, of which I'm unhappy with some of the treatment. I have one IUI left, but I've decided to go for some acupuncture for a couple of weeks before the last attempt.
I'm favouring this over rushing into ivf as I have unexplained infertility. Meaning there's not really any reason I can't get pregnant.
So fingers crossed this helps 🤞🏻

AF made an appearance today with really awful cramps.... now where's that November bus hope you all have lots of luck for the rest of the month ❤️

On the plus side I smashed a CrossFit workout so I had a maccy D

Of course AF showed up just as I allowed myself to be a little hopeful. Feeling absolutely dreadful today and one of my closest friends just told me she got her BFP this month. Aaaand we're out until the end of the year due to work travel. I'm going to need a giant wine glass, feeling very sorry for myself.

keepploddingalong I may have made a November bus this morning

@toomanyflatwhites I never test when my DH is around, I couldn’t take his disappointment and mine. When I got my bfp I waited for him to get home from work to surprise him. Not sure what I’ll do when I get my next one as it feels tainted after a loss. When do you think you’ll tell him?

@Wishful30 I love acupuncture and if nothing else it’s very relaxing. I only ever feel the needles on one side it’s weird.

1dpo today and I’m just happy we don’t have to DTD tonight. We are both exhausted from work. Managed 4 days in a row so fx.

I got a line this morning! I won't call it a bfp cause I'm only 6dpo and it's probably an evap. It's definitely a line though! Wish I hadn't thrown my fmu so I could try with another test.

Not sure why I tested at 6dpo, mostly cause my chart was looking so nice!

Congratulations kincat Any line is a positive! Looks like a similar line to when I got my BFP.. he’s now 14months 😊 keep us updated dated x

Aw that's a nice thought RightNow I'll probably test again tomorrow and maybe try a digital on Sunday if it's still looking good.

I told DH already and he definitely thinks I'm ridiculous for testing so early but he sounded pleased anyway!

So I told DP last night after peeing on an OPK and seeing the 2 strong lines - he has no idea the difference between which test is which! I was surprised by it was after work and I had barely enough pee to dip it in (and very diluted I think) so hopefully that's a good sign.
I know I should probably go and join the antenatal board but a bit nervous to do that so early, I feel at home here! Am feeling a bit queasy at times but the worst thing is I woke up at 2.45am and didn't get back to sleep at all!! So at 6 gave up and got up to go to yoga! Have had this mega insomnia in week 1 of both pregnancies (DD and the chemical I had in August) so I should probably expect it, but it's very unwelcome!!
