Too early for an October bus?

My AF arrived yesterday so I'm off the September bus already

Trying for baby #2
Age 33

This month I am going to track my cycle using ovulation strips. DTD lots last month so I'm gutted but onwards and upwards!

@Newbie21 that sounds really positive. Fx and keep us updated! I've been a bit quiet on here but that's because I've been having cramps all week and expecting AF to show Saturday. A 40 day cycle for me this month after 29days last month!

I'm up really early to go to a yoga class and just decided to test....think I got a squinter! Is it totally weird to not tell DP and just go to yoga as planned? I am at the point where I don't believe that a positive test necessarily leads to a pregnancy so don't want to get carried away...

toomanyflatwhites that's not a squinter at all! Congratulations! Hope it's a sticky one! It's not weird to do whatever you want, take your time to process it.

Thank you @TwittleBee @KinCat! Am on my way. Depending on what I go by (either my best guess, or my app's...) am either 9DPO or 16...if it's the latter I don't think this is dark enough. But maybe i really did ovulate later than I thought!

Ahh amazing, congrats toomanyflatwhites! Keeping everything crossed that it sticks. I agree with others, do whatever you feel like doing - and a yoga class sounds like a good opportunity to process the news!

I had a temp rise today but I think it was because I was wearing loads of clothes in bed in order to, er, force a temp rise. Not sure that counts

I’ve been looking at bigger cars online in the hope if I do ever get a BFP im prepared and know what car I want ( I’ve currently got a fiat 500) but I don’t know if that’s just torture or a distraction ha! DP came home with seven seas trying to conceive tablets yesterday and stated he had read lots of reviews about them and suggested I could try them bless him! It’s all new to him he has a son from a previous relationship and he was conceived very quickly so my partner didn’t realise it could take so long with us. Xx

How many days before ovulation does everyone get ewcm? I’m 18dp and think I had a little bit of ewcm but I haven’t done a opk yet.. will do one around 11ish 😬 does 18dp sound late to ovulate?

@Rightnow1245 I got Ewcm starting on CD18 and ovulated on CD21. I'm a late egg releaser! Nothings too late, everyone's different. I have a shorter luteal phase than most at 10/11 days.

Rightnow1245 really depends on how long your cycle is, most people have 14 days post ovulation (hence the name TWW) before AF but for some it can be as short as 10 (I have 12 days). I usually get ewcm couple days prior Ov and then dries up day after. You will see a positive OPK between 1 to 3 days before ovulation btw so you should really start peeing on them well before expected ovulation date.

Thanks you all for the good luck posts. @KinCat i can't bring myself to test after having a CP last cycle when I tested on AF due date and lost it a week later so decided this month I would like to feel the hope rather than the anxiety and fear of losing but I know I will need to test at some point so Saturday it is 🤞

Newbie21 FX you get a sticky BFP this time. I know how hard a CP is, feels strange as it's so early and no viable but it's still a loss

Thanks @TwittleBee and @KinCat. I had an MMC at 11 weeks back in April so that combined with the CP last cycle has made me feel that there is no benefit for me testing early. I am lucky to have a gorgeous 2yr old DS so have accepted that this TTC journey has highs and lows. Hopefully it's time for a 9 month high :-)

@Newbie21 I feel the same after my mc last month. There’s a part of me that wants to test early ‘just so I know’ but also another part of me that can’t go through another loss so soon so a BFN would be easier. I hope I can wait like you have but I’m also keeping everything crossed that this is your month 😍❤️

makeawish I think I may be in the same boat as you and be a late ovulater! Makes me feel a little better that it’s not just me.. my cycle is normally 30days but I’m still breastfeeding so it can change sometimes 😬

Ive only been tracking for a few months but think it’s around 30days TwittleBee last month my LP is only 11days so I guess I’m just under the TTW.. so my first part of my cycle is a lot longer then the second 😬 I have been doing the OPK since 12pd but no positive yet! Once I get a positive should I DTD everyday and how long after? I know I should be doing before too.. we do it every other day atm

Well, I'm out. AF has just rocked up, 5 days late, making this last cycle 33 days.

There's a chance I could conceive this month still, but wouldn't find out until November

I've stopped spotting now, still testing negative 🤷🏼‍♀️ AF is technically two weeks late now so I've given up hope really. Drs said to wait a few more days and then test again 🤦🏼‍♀️. Assuming I'm gunna still get a negative how do I work out when I'm ovulating this month cus going on my last period I should be ovulating over the next couple of days but surely that's not going to happen? So confused and fed up by it all really.

Rightnow1245 ah yeah so you should expect to see a positive on CD18 on the OPK surely then as you would most likely Ov on CD19 with a cycle of 30 days and LP of 11? Keep peeing on those OPKs and DTD every other day in case you Ov later this month (and so have a later AF)! If I was you I would just keep DTD for a further 4 days after a +OPK in case it takes 3 days after a +OPK to actually OV! FX

We are starting our DTD marathon tonight! Gonna go every other day this cycle! 12 months lucky hopefully!

@Newbie21 @sbhf1987 believe it or not I feel the same about testing early, br was expecting AF yesterday according to my estimates, but as my app said it was due Saturday I was going to try and wait. But as my chemical happened 8 days after my BFP I decided I may as well test now as I wouldn't have waited that long...

Am feeling a bit weird about not having said anything to DP yet!! Thinking of peeing on an OPK this afternoon (as I have some in my bag!) just to see, but I think I'm in a weird kind of denial...
