My AF arrived yesterday so I'm off the September bus already Sad

Cycle #2
Trying for baby #2
Age 33

This month I am going to track my cycle using ovulation strips. DTD lots last month so I'm gutted but onwards and upwards!

Too inquisitive
I got a positive on the 7th of September (4days before my af was due) then on the 14th I woke up to heavy bleeding in my shorts 😪
I took a test the next day 15th and it was negative bled for 3days

Started taking the ovulation tests got my smiley face last Wednesday (my cycle is a defo 28dayer)

I dunno what to make of things never experienced a mc before xxx

Wishful30 · 02/10/2018 16:53

@Kelzshandalot
So sorry to hear that 😞

I've now had 5 chemical pregnancies in under a year. Sadly they are very common but majority of people don't know, as they don't test until af is properly late.
I've had positives from day 8 to day 12 and still had af arrive, with worse cramps and heavier bleeding than usual.
Unfortunately more often than not 'it's one of those things'

I try and tell myself not to test early, but having now seen a fertility specialist, it's easier to argue my point if 'I can concieve' wheb I've had positive tests. I've been ttc for 15 months now 😐

Kelzshandalot · 02/10/2018 17:14

Wishful30

That is so heart wrenching I feel so deeply for u

Why are we programmed this way huh? Just constantly second guessing ourselves and toying with our emotions Confused

I feel for u so so much xx

Wishful30 · 02/10/2018 18:58

@Kelzshandalot
It's really depressing. But in a backwards way I've learned not to expect it to take if I do get a bfp. The whole thing is a big fat mind fu** if you ask me.
I'm 35 now. Have unexplained infertility, however I've lost faith in my fertility doctor as she's just never listened to me. I realised when I saw a different doc coz she was on holiday, that actually things aren't quite right.
However I have decided to take a step back from all the charting and am trying to clear my mind.
I've still got one more shot at IUI, so I'm going to start acupuncture, with a view that I'll put off ivf until the new year, as I'm not convinced it's the right thing to do just yet, and I've been right so far!

Wishing you all the best and fingers crossed you get you sticky bean very soon xx

Kelzshandalot · 02/10/2018 19:02

Aww wishful u are one amazingly brave lady and I send u all the love and hope I can ❤️ it will happen for u I have the faith much love to u xxxx

Chanel05 · 02/10/2018 20:06

Thank you for the pep talk @MuddyElephant! I’m keeping everything crossed inside but no symptoms.

Chanel05 · 02/10/2018 21:26

Just for a bit of self torture, this is a bfn for my 9dpo/10dpo (though think 9) isn’t it? 😞 excuse my cats tail!

Too early for an October bus?
mrss2018 · 03/10/2018 07:39

BFN for me this morning with a FRER- af was due yesterday....I guess my cycles STILL haven't got back on track after mc...so frustrating!! 😞

mrss2018 · 03/10/2018 08:03
Confused
Too early for an October bus?
MuddyElephant · 03/10/2018 08:33

Sorry for your losses @wishful30 @Kelzshandalot and @mrss2018 - hope your cycle settles down.
@chanel05 love your cat! Hope you get a different result in a few days.
I POAS this morning and literally got a BFN...not even a control line 😣

Kelzshandalot · 03/10/2018 08:46

BFN for me this am too but I've figured I've poas way to early (7dpo) fingers crossed and baby dust to u all xxx

KinCat · 03/10/2018 08:49

The tests faulty if a control line didn't show MuddyElephant

KinCat · 03/10/2018 08:51

Sorry for all the BFNs. Hopefully some will change to BFPs over the next few days! I'm still hoping I hold off on ovulating until DH is back on Saturday!

Has anyone tried fertility yoga? My periods are still really light after having the Mirena coil out so I'm looking for ways to improve my lining. Might be a bit late for this cycle though.

loveshinealight · 03/10/2018 08:51

BFN for me too. My period is due tomorrow so I can only assume I'm not pregnant this month 🙁

TwittleBee · 03/10/2018 09:51

loveshinealight literally same for me! Sad BFN on a FRER and AF due tomorrow. FX next cycle will be ours

Peonie89 · 03/10/2018 10:07

Sorry for all of your BFN, been trying since April and I know how much it sucks.

Had my third flashing smiley Monday, Tuesday I was away with work so couldn't use my OPK and this morning it wouldn't work! Got an error message Sad still have EWCM so hoping that DTD everyday since my first flashing smiley gives us a better chance this month. Fingers crossed for everyone still on October's bus and for those hoping off, I wish baby dust got November

TwittleBee · 03/10/2018 10:12

Peonie89 yeah just keep DTD! Dont worry about getting that solid if you are getting flashys anyway and EWCM! Good luck hun!

So this month marks 1 year of TTC baby #2 and I am desperate to get trying with anything now. Does anyone have anything they recommend? (FYI I wont be charting or OPKing, been there done that, found it so stressful but actually least I know my luteal and cycle lengths)

loveshinealight · 03/10/2018 11:08

I'm sorry @TwittleBee. It's shite! Gin

sbhf1987 · 03/10/2018 11:16

@Kelzshandalot sorry if I have missed a post somewhere but I’ve started using OPKs again after m/c at 5wks4days on Sun 23rd Sept. So far I’ve had 3 ‘low’ results, I’m usually on day 1 of flashing smiley which I’m not overly concerned about ovulating a bit late this month just wanted to check whether you felt the OPKs were accurate or you ov’d any earlier/later in your cycle this month? X

toomanyflatwhites · 03/10/2018 11:38

@KinCat I don't think fertility yoga will really do anything other than hopefully help relax you. I have spent the past 12 years doing a lot of yoga and in my opinion lots of it is marketing I'm afraid...
But if it helps you relax and think positively then it certainly won't do any harm! Having said that...
@TwittleBee is acupuncture a possibility to try? I know lots of people who have had good results, I was having it before I got pregnant in July (though then had a chemical in August) so maybe it helped me. Might go back if we carry on not having any luck...

Kelzshandalot · 03/10/2018 11:41

Sbhf1987

I ovulated right on cue my period length was short tho miscarried Friday stopped bleeding the Monday normally I'm a good 6days on
I got my first wee smiley face (Clearblue digital non flashing one) on Wednesday last week again the Thursday last week my period is due the 11th of the month hope this helps xxx

PaintingOwls · 03/10/2018 12:08

Have been symptom spotting like mad. Took a test and obviously a BFN. I must be getting sick, hence the nausea. Sad

KinCat · 03/10/2018 12:39

TwittleBee you could go to your GP. they'd at least do some basic tests and help rule stuff out plus you'd feel like you were doing something.

toomanyflatwhites I think you're probably right! I was going to give it a go this evening but decided I couldn't be arsed.

I think I need to get off the September bus before I've even ovulated - got this super dark OPK today and DH isn't back for something like 60 hours. Sucks.

Too early for an October bus?
TwittleBee · 03/10/2018 12:43

toomanyflatwhites not bad idea actually, had myself booked in for it at end of my pregnancy with DS but never got round to having it as he came early haha!

KinCat already been to GP, she said that as there was a couple cycles we didn't actually TTC (due to work commitments those months) we haven't technically been TTC for 12 months yet... so I have to wait till December

KinCat dont be totally disheartened just yet! You dont actually ovulate for 24-36 hours after your surge so if you did ovulate in 36 hours and your egg survives for 24 hours then as long as you DTD as son as DH walks through that door you could still be with a chance? Is there any chance he can get to you earlier?

TwittleBee · 03/10/2018 12:44

PaintingOwls how many DPO are you? Hope you arent getting sick. Bloomin mind plays tricks thogh doesnt it! FX
