Too early for an October bus?

loveshinealight · 03/09/2018 19:15

My AF arrived yesterday so I'm off the September bus already Sad

Cycle #2
Trying for baby #2
Age 33

This month I am going to track my cycle using ovulation strips. DTD lots last month so I'm gutted but onwards and upwards!

It seems like October is a rubbish month for all of us so far! Meant October in my last post.

KinCat · 03/10/2018 12:47

No chance of any earlier TwittleBee. If I was super determined I could meet him at the airport and have a shag in the car but it'd only be an hour earlier and I'm not at that crazy a stage yet! He's under strict instructions to get on with it as soon as he gets in the house 😂

ImpatientMammy · 03/10/2018 12:48

I'm out early CD1 here. one more cycle and I'm going to the drs 😔
AF now due 30th so still on the bus.
Cycle number 11. How did that even happen x

sbhf1987 · 03/10/2018 13:44

@Kelzshandalot thank you, if I start flashing tomorrow it could still mean I ov by CD15-16. Just can’t stand too many flashing smileys I’m like will they ever bloody end!! X

Sorry AF got you @ImpatientMammy sending hugs xx

Kelzshandalot · 03/10/2018 15:48

I caved in and poas again first response not fmu either I am such a dumass impatient Twit lol 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Peonie89 · 03/10/2018 17:16

@TwittleBee thank you! Got home and used another OPK because I couldn't this morning (was all pee'd out) And still got my flashing smiley and EWCM is doing its thing so going to have another go at DP after dinner Wink I will be glad when I am pregnant finally because it would be nice to just have a good shag without the "ooh I hope that time made a baby" thoughts.

EverythingNow · 03/10/2018 17:24

Urgh! I took an asda test this morning and was convinced (as usual) that I could see a vfl. Theyre really annoying tests as the case casts a shadow. Took it apart and line still visible albeit barely. There was nothing to see at all yesterday so hopes raised.

I'm only 10dpo so all slightly ridiculous anyway. But once I got home from work I was desperate to see if there was a line or my imagination so did another. Really really thought I saw one again, but these tests get condensation between the plastic cover and the strip so hard to see. Cracked it open and NOTHING at all.

Why do I do this??

EverythingNow · 03/10/2018 17:26

Oh and I was absolutely convinced AF had started today at work, I felt like I was leaking (sorry tmi) but nothing when I checked. So of course convinced myself it was a super sign!!

PaintingOwls · 03/10/2018 18:38

TwittleBee

11 days DPO and as half of my office seems to be sick, that seems to be the more likely scenario...

Sickness subsided in the day and now I feel nauseous once again.

Dusty142 · 03/10/2018 19:06

Hi al I’m just after some help I had 4 positive pregnancy test on the 1st of October which I though to be positive.. I’ve had all symptoms to say I’m pregnant but now it is negative any ideas? I’m new to this so not sure how to post pictures but I had a positive ovulation test Monday 24th sept is this to early to test now

Dusty142 · 03/10/2018 19:23

I’m in the same boat aswell I’ve had 3 faint positives from Lloyd’s test 2 faint positives from a strip test but negative first response and I took a Asda home one today I swear I can see something but I don’t no if it’s my eyes

summer28 · 03/10/2018 21:31

Really sorry to hear that @ImpatientMammy, hope you're ok. At least going to the Dr's will start things with that, even if you don't need the help in the end. Xxx

ronniemipperton · 04/10/2018 06:08

CD16 and no temp drop so far. And DH has a meltdown about the pressure last night so I can’t see us dtd again at any useful point this cycle.

Trying to stay positive but in truth I am utterly fed up. I hate my job and am only clinging on in the hope that I can get pregnant. 33 and I honestly feel like ttc has ruined my 30s.

KinCat · 04/10/2018 06:17

Sorry, that's sounds shit ronniemipperton - how long have you been trying?

toomanyflatwhites · 04/10/2018 06:22

Oh @ronniemipperton I know how that feels, my DP has had wobbles several times (or started arguments to disguise wobbles) so we have missed the boat that way a few times. I'm 40 now and freaking that we don't have the luxury of time but hoping we get lucky soon.

My app has finally decided that I have ov'd thanks to a temp rise - I gave up the OPKs after 9 days flashing smiley and blank white cheapie OPKs, but I'm still quietly convinced that I could have ovulated around day 16 and temps were just screwy (that was my only EWCM). Even slightly fantasising that the temps now show an implantation dip but am sure that's just wishful thinking!!! Chart is here... all over the place, non?

Too early for an October bus?
KinCat · 04/10/2018 06:29

A little bit messy toomanyflatwhites! You have quite a lot of open circles there so I'm not sure how much you can rely on the temps. From the ewcm you could definitely have ovulated on CD16.

Just a waiting game...

I feel like my life is being wished away in two week chunks at the moment. Waiting to ovulate then waiting to test.

ronniemipperton · 04/10/2018 06:35

Thanks both. We’ve been trying a few years but I wasn’t ovulating for the first couple (had no periods, turned out to be hypothalamic amenorrhea from exercising too much despite not being underweight, which meant a massive lifestyle change to sort out and putting in 15kg which hasn’t helped my self esteem, though I have at least been ovulating for the last 10 months or so). Got a bfp in May but ended in mmc in July. Should remind myself I am at least ovulating fairly regularly which is a much more promising situation for ttc than the one I was in!

@toomanyflatwhites not impossible - have you been drinking any alcohol/doing temps at different times/not feeling well? Those things always make my temps go haywire. (Sadly no reason for absence of temp dip/rise for me this month though)

toomanyflatwhites · 04/10/2018 06:40

Sorry about your mmc @ronniemipperton, I had a very early loss in August and I think it makes the following few months much harder.
And my temps are all over the shop for various reasons, namely I have a toddler and so haven't slept consistently for 3 years! My waking times vary massively plus I'm not using a proper BBT thermometer (am using a no contact one) so wonder if it makes more sense to not even bother! Problem is that DP thinking temping is nonsense so need a silent one so he doesn't realise I'm doing it, and none of them are!

KinCat · 04/10/2018 06:43

That sounds even more shit ronniemipperton at least you're ovulating I guess but that's probably not a huge amount of comfort right now. Fingers crossed you get your month soon.

Does your DH know when you're ovulating? Mine is fairly clueless about cycles and would just believe me if I said it's not a fertile time I just fancy a shag. Appreciate it might be different after a longer time trying though.

loveshinealight · 04/10/2018 09:33

Still no period and a negative test! I'm now on CD33!

SophiePie · 04/10/2018 09:58

@toomanflatwhites

I think our charts look a bit similar! A lot of charts I saw get temp rises about 4 or 5dpo (sometimes later) so this could be a good sign for us Smile Have you used bbt adjusters before? I also wake up at different times so it could help you get some consistency. This one is pretty good whenmybaby.com/basalbodytemperature.php

SophiePie · 04/10/2018 10:01

@loveshinealight Hang in there, sometimes people don't get their bfps until a couple days after AF is due Cake

Rightnow1245 · 04/10/2018 10:14

Hi ladies,
Jumping on this October bus 😊
Age 28
Cycle #1
trying for baby #2

I am on day 12 of my cycle and I am just waiting for my ovulation day now, I’m thinking it should be around day 17 as I ovulate around then..
I have been tracking my cycles for a while now but this is the first month of trying! Is anyone on a similar day of their cycle?
Would be great to have some support on this journey xx

toomanyflatwhites · 04/10/2018 10:37

Thanks @SophiePie! I have looked at one of those before but didn't remember about it - would you overwrite the temps on your chart with the adjustments? Or just have it in the back of your mind?

Lubilu28 · 04/10/2018 10:39

I’m now 10dpo, period due on 6/7th.

I have a feeling I’m already out as I’m getting cramps, I’m tired, I’m moody with very, very little patience and I’m getting hot flushes!! Could be early signs but I’m not kidding myself, it’s deffo af symptoms!!

I keep getting the urge to test but then I get a deep sadness cuz what’s the point! It’s only going to be negative!!

I’m hoping that this bus is lucky for some u ladies and I’m hoping that next month will be my month!! Xx
